We stayed an extra night. This hotel was very comfortable. Even in winter, the heating was excellent, the hot water was hot, the breakfast was great, and there was free drinking water. We really liked this hotel; the main attractions are all within a few hundred meters.

The hotel is located in the upscale district of Tirana, near the center of the district, so it was convenient to walk to the tourist spots.

The room is clean and tidy and the service attitude is good. If you save English when traveling, it can help the front desk staff to confirm the check-in information more quickly. Overall it is a good experience. The front desk bar is also very good.

The air conditioning did not work well, the heat in the room was horrible. We told reception that a supposed technician was coming but he never came.

The room was not necessarily what you would expect from a 4* hotel (damaged and stained walls) but did the job perfectly for one night, and allows quick access to the city center (7-10min walk)

The location is great, right in the city center. However, this 4-star hotel definitely doesn't live up to its rating! Even though, i had received assurance that I would receive everything that came with my room, some things like toothpaste and toothbrush were not provided which inconvenienced my friends and I a lot. Doro City hotel is an old fashioned hotel with few amenities. We were a group staying at the hotel. We spent little time actually in the hotel so it was ok. One tiny elevator serving all the guests. The property location is centrally situated. The rooms are a little on the small side. Biggest drawback was the pervasive and persistent cigarette smoke and cigar smoke smell, both exterior with the entrance/outside cafe area, the lobby, the bar, the elevator and hallways, and rooms. This singular smell issue will prevent us from choosing this location in the future.

It is customary in Albania to smoke in every corner. In the hotel smoking from the lobby floor goes up to the rooms and it's just unbearable. It's hard to breathe. The clothes stinked, even in the room.
