The front desk staff didn’t seem very welcoming. The room was large, but the decor and furniture felt a bit old. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Would you like some earplugs for your stay Booked a larger ‘upscale room’ got a room on the second floor over a very busy intersection. Went back to reception and asked if the Hotel was full was told No. Asked to be moved as then told the hotel was actually full and was offered earplugs for my stay. Room lighting was so poor I needed to use the torch app on my phone to read light switches. Traffic noise and bed terrible, aircon ineffective in a westerly facing room, no water on arrival. I just needed a good nights sleep prior sleep for a very important business presentation I had flown in for. Instead I got a hotel with rooms on the 1st and second floor only over a busy interaction, condescending staff, a hot room and a bed that was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep. I travel to Canberra frequently and was looking for new ‘Hotel’ to try out this was a mistake I won’t be repeating. A little responsiveness shouldn’t be that hard to get, turns out it is - so well done front desk guy you really made an impression and saved yourself and the ‘hotel’ valuable time and effort.

Staff was very good in particular I had one guy check us in and he was amazing. The location is nice and the hotel amenities are very good I would like to emphasis the no aircon in the apartments which is what I already knew before booking it but it is honestly unbearable in this hot weather I thought the hotel had some sort of cooling system which would make it more berable but it has nothing, they did provide us with a fan which was nice but doesn’t make a difference in comparison to the heat it’s fighting, when it is so hot outside the last thing I want is to come back to a hot and wet smelling apartment. I had to end my trip early and move to a different hotel. This is just soemthing to keep in mind when booking. :)

Generally, a lovely hotel with friendly staff.
The apartments seem a bit dated since I stayed there 3 years ago. Furnishings not very comfortable but apartment has good amenities. Just need clean glasses.
The breakfast was very nice and beautiful view.
Walking distance to Lake Burley Griffin and convenient to visit Floriade.

Despite a bit of walk to the Canberra Centre, it is a nice place to stay; relaxing environment, pleasant and helpful reception, comfy bed, good shower, v well cleaned up!

Overall, quite a nice and modern hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. However, we stayed in the apartments and there is NO AIR-CONDITIONING! The room was constantly hot and stuffy even in the middle of winter. We were told to open doors and windows to cool the room, which at this price point is outrageous. Very disappointing.

Good food and wine. Nice fitout and gardens. Service can be a tad slow when they're busy. We've had to skip dessert a few times when we couldn't get waiters' attention and just waited too long.

There's a 2 % surcharge for paywave. If they explained this, I would have paid via eftpos. Coffee ok. Food a tad exp, and nothing special. Eggs on toast comes with almost no toast. (Silly, small, bit of sourdough, cut in half).

I have been eating at the Xchange since I first moved to Canberra in 2012. I still believe that the Xchange has ticked almost all the boxes for a great eatery! Good coffee, great food, friendly service, comfortable seating arrangements and the Xchange paella is the best I've had in the ACT.

Great food, good service. Excellent place to go for a a casual lunch. Spent well over an hour there and we weren't rushed by staff. My husband says it was better than Jamie's.
