Reviews
Close to myriad cafes,b restaurants and supermarkets. Recommend this hotel for a budget stay.
The only thing I can say might bother a lot of people is that the walls are pretty thin. You’ll be able to hear anything louder than a whisper outside. Other than that, a perfectly good budget hotel especially good for a short stay.
I never leave reviews, but this property really needs one to warn other readers. I had booked the double room with en-suite bathroom. Upon our arrival around 8:00 a.m, we asked if we could drop off our luggages while waiting to check in. We were told that instead of waiting, we could get another room right away. The only difference was that instead of having a double bed, it had a double bed + single bunk on top (triple en-suite room). We asked if there were any other differences, and were told that that was the only difference. We had just landed from a flight from London, we were tired and needed a shower, so we agreed to change the room.
The room was nothing like the one I had viewed on Wotif. It was small, facing a wall, and ugly. The bathroom was tiny, there were no hand soap nor hooks to hang towels. The bedsheets and pillowcases were barely in acceptable conditions. I’ve traveled a lot, including backpackers hostels, and this was the worst I’ve ever seen. But as I said, we were both dead tired and needed to rest. After all, we only use the room to sleep. WRONG! Had there been no walls around us, it wouldn’t have made any difference. You could hear night and day every single person around you. From loud voices, to laughs, to coughs, to music, from 10 p.m until 6 a.m, it was an awful concert. Everytime someone walked past our room, the bed would move a little and make a metallic sound.
In the past days I kept asking myself how did I fall for this? That room looked nothing like the ones I’ve seen on Wotif. Then, after checking-out, I found out why! The room we had been given, room 5, IS NOT ADVERTISED ON WOTIF. Out of 61 (overly polished) photos, our room is not shown. This is clearly false advertising, and we will escalate the matter.
This alone is worth the 1 star, but it doesn’t end there. The room was riddled with bugs, particularly the bathroom, including a nasty 5cm long cockroach I encountered one night.
Despite the propriety calls itself an hotel, it provides NO service. No one has ever entered our room. We were not replenished with toilet paper, nor with new towels. We had to ask for them at the reception, which was empty at the time we would leave/return to the “hotel”. Once we asked for more toilet paper, we were given 1 roll…
If you don’t care about bugs, don’t mind begging for toilet paper and towels, can sleep through anything, and are okay to gamble on which room you’re gonna get, this property is right here for you.
Thank you for the hospitality!
if u wanna experience AUSTRALIA, i would recommend here:)

Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
I didn't have chance to take a photo to prove everyone about my bad experience. But i have to warn you to be careful when you eat here.
That was Tuesday night and it was quite busy.
I stand next to the kitchen and waited for toilet. (Apparently they are open kitchen and the toilet just next to it). There was a waiter, i saw him chuck the food in the bins but except the leafs, which are used for plating. I was wondering why they keep that in a container. And later on, I saw they clean the leafs and re-used again for hot dish and sushi plates.
Even Sashimi is not fresh and tastes plain. I try a lots of Japanese restaurant, trust me that if you really want to experience the good quality Japanese one, just pay a bit more for Hanajurin in Crow Nest, Sake in the Rock or Sokyo in The Star, you will fell worthy and never come back here. Pricey food and the bill ends up to $150 for 2 pax. Almost the same as last time i had in Sake restaurant.
Not overly priced either. Will definitely be back.
The venue is cozy, cocktails and wine lists are great, the menu classic and simple but oh so fantastic. Apollo's set menu is the first set menu I've had at a restaurant where I have actually not only liked but absolutely loved every single dish. I am an extremely picky woman when it comes to food and fine dining is kind of my hobby. I actually dream about Apollo from time to time and I always bring new friends to the restaurant when I get the chance to and no one of them has ever been disappointed but very surprised.
