The most disgusting thing was the recreational level of the hotel at level 4. It was not renovated at all and it was old, the water in the pool was FREEZING COLD

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; you can walk to all areas of the city. Circular Quay is just a 5-minute walk, and you can easily stroll to the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge

From the rooms we were assigned, the Opera House view had a better layout and angle. My photography skills aren't great, so the view was even more impressive in person

Plus, you can even see the bridge from your hotel room, which is fantastic!

Very friendly staff with speedy services to provide Generous and thoughtfulness for customers especially with check in process, appreciated

Although a room was not available, we were given keys to an early arrival suite. We were able to take showers and change clothes, then stored our luggage at reception

Environment & Hygiene: As an established hotel, the hygiene and environment are very good, and it's always packed with guests

I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Sydney, with beautiful views of the harbour and friendly staff, what more could you ask for

Location: Excellent! It's near Circular Quay, so you can easily get anywhere in Sydney by ferry or bus

The hotel's location is also excellent, very close to the harbor. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. It's also very quiet at night, making for a great sleeping experience

Great views and good service. Although the facilities might be a bit dated, everything was very clean with no strange odors or items. The check-in process was also simple and convenient, and luggage storage was easy.

Spacious rooms, well done bathroom, a huge gym, decent looking pool, spa, and lots of common areas

It was easy to get to location wise. Close to public tranaport. The rooms were beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was nice, a little expensive, but nice. Overall a lovely experience. Very relaxing.

The hotel is in a great location. Central to circular quay and darling harbour. Very close to wynards train station. Although on a steep road it’s not too far to walk from York street

Everything about the hotel was spotless from having the doors open everytime you entered or left the hotel. The only disappointment for us was the breakfast

Breakfast doesn't have a huge variety, but the quality is decent, and the window seats offer a nice view. I absolutely loved the Greek yogurt! The rooms are quite spacious, though the pool is small

Check-in: Arrived at 12:00 and asked for early check-in. It wasn't ready then, but they kindly called me at 13:30 to let me know it was ready! (Even though I was already out, I really appreciated the gesture

In v close proximity (10mins walk) to domestic airport, has many supper fastfood chains around when you land late at night too! Spacious room and worth the price!

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. It's very close to the domestic terminal, less than a 10-minute walk. The room is spacious enough, the facilities are good, and the service is responsive. It offers good value for money.

I felt $50 was a bit steep for just two extra hours, so I declined. There's a large supermarket and a food court about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and the Thai food there was pretty good

I chose to stay here because I had an early morning flight the next day. I arrived at the hotel close to midnight, and the staff said I could pay $50 for early check-in

The hotel was absolutely wonderful! The room was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning sea view. There was also a swimming pool downstairs, where we could relax while enjoying the ocean scenery up close

Room was clean and comfortable, unfortunately there was 5 of us booked in the room and the sofa bed hadn’t been made up ready and there was only 4 towels. Reception didnt pick up when called

Good hotel but the out door swimming pool need heater to keep warm especially you not allowed kids to swim in indoor swimming pool that has control temperature to keep it warm.

They wouldn't let my 10-year-old daughter into the sauna or the indoor pool to warm up, and it was very cold outside. The rooms were tidy, though it was clear the renovation was poorly done and things were falling apart

Some of the ocean-view pools are closed, apparently only accessible to those attending the parties, and everyone comes in from the street. They didn't provide water in the rooms after check-in

It's also best not to get a room facing the pool/ocean, as there's loud music and parties every day

My only suggestion would be that if you are catching the Sydney Shuttle Service from Bay 4 at the airport, it was confusing to find. Once I figured it out (followed a crowd and asked them), the shuttle was full

A simple two night stay costed me twice as much as it should have. I contacted them and over two weeks and haven't hear a thing. So nearly additional 900-1100 of extra charges

Stayed here so we could be close to the airport for our flight the next day. The staff was very welcoming, from check in to check out. I would highly recommend staying here if you need to be close to the airport

Children’s menu is good, large sizes and decent value. Rooms could have been a little cleaner with tea and coffee sticks low and lipstick on cup - however I know they would have rectified if requested

However, the facilities are quite outdated, and the internet connection was particularly bad, almost unbearable. Everything else was great, though. I hope for an upgrade and renovation soon

Lifts are quick and 3 to use when hotel was crowded so you are not waiting long. Pool a great temperature being heater but much smaller than the photos depict on website

The room was super comfortable, and the location is great – right between Sydney University and Circular Quay. It's really easy to get around by public transport

You can also walk to Darling Harbour, the Fish Market, Hyde Park, or the Royal Botanic Garden. The hotel breakfast was good too, definitely recommend it

With it being a weekend and Valentine's Day, all the hotels were overpriced and many were fully booked. This one was just okay for the price. The room and bathroom were small, but it did have two queen-sized beds

Our room had incredible views of Darling Harbour, and it was the perfect spot to relax after a busy day

Kristina was very friendly and helpful during check-in. We really appreciated her assistance with all the concierge information. However, the room had two bottles of shampoo and no shower gel

Everyone gets their own bed, yay! We were so happy. And the location is absolutely incredible. Traveling with kids, this place is a dream. There's Haidilao, McDonald's, and Meet Fresh right across the street

Walk the other way and you'll find a kids' playground! When you're tired, just head to Darling Harbour to feel the breeze and take in the city night view~

Stayed with my parents, three of us. Although the room was small, the location was excellent. The only annoying thing was that the hotel Wi-Fi basically didn't work in the room; we had to go downstairs to use it

At every single hotel I stay in the world it’s common when you ask at reception, how is my room, do I have a good view or location they check and my change it a little for better location or room type if they have vacancies

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit

The hotel entrance and reception area look very nice, but the room, while fully equipped, was very old, as was the bathroom. I tried calling reception three times to ask for more towels, but they didn't answer the phone

It just feedback for check-in cause it was under my name (I did put my partner's name as a guest), but when he tried to check in, it required me to make a call, and no one answered at that time, so it took some time n complicated

The only small thing is that there are two paintings on the wall that look a bit scary at night 😂. Facilities: The photos accurately represent the actual facilities, and the overall feeling is very good

My husband and I stayed here for three days. We loved it because it was very central and it was easy to access the eateries and was on the main street of George Street. We loved the size of our room

Great hotel, super convenient for getting around. The room was spacious, and despite being in a busy area, it wasn't noisy at all. Right outside the door is a shopping street.

After I reported it, they said a technician wouldn't be available until the next day, but it still wasn't fixed. They also couldn't move me to another room

Pool was a good size ranging from 3ft to 5ft deep. Nice outdoor seating area as well. Connected to a good restaurant open breakfast to dinner

My 2nd trip back here after having a positive experience back in Feb. Again it’s Harvey at Storehouse that made the difference. Excellent service and was well taken care of each evening

We opted for a quiet room, but the slight inconvenience was having to take an elevator to the front desk, then walk up stairs to another elevator, which was a bit awkward with luggage

Absolutely comfortable and nice room, and there’s some free water soaked with fresh fruit in the grand design lobby just in the entrance area which is good👍🏽 And it takes 10mins walk to Central Station and quite convenient to go to many spots in Sydney Center

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to St James station, and right next to Westfield and QVB. The room was also quite spacious and comfortable

Location is quite a long way from CBD, so expect 1hr travelling to any of the main tourist spots, which can be reached by an easy 10mins walk to Parramatta train station

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the pleasure of being assisted by Irene at the Holiday Inn on Christmas Day, and I can't say enough great things about her! Despite the restaurant being closed, she went above and beyond to help us satisfy our beverage needs

We tend to go here every year for a marriage retreat. The staff are so kind and helpful with everything from checking in to parking to buffet. The rooms are nice and give you an option to sleep on a firm or soft pillow

Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour

It looks to be a sealing issue. I needed all 4 little milk containers for just 1 coffee, which was a real shame. Carpet from exiting bathrooms could pose a slip hazard without shoes on

It was a good option for us, as some days we didn't really need a room service. The room was spacious and good. There was free parking within the compound, and with additional charge closed parking was also available

They treat all their customers fairly and respectfully and go above and beyond for their regulars. They recently upgraded us to their penthouse suite for our anniversary

I loved the bed and space in the room. *areas for improvement* Large lamps in the corner didn't work after checking power sources and bulbs. Sound coming from external windows can impede the quietness of the room

Spa had a leak so I asked staff to fix it, then the next morning the spa was fixed for us to relax in! I would have liked to see more environmentally-friendly initiatives and would encourage the hotel to take the lead

Absolutely stunning night views! This was the best hotel of our entire Australia trip. Even though the price soared to 4000 during the Chinese New Year holiday, it was absolutely worth it

When checking out, it was pouring rain, and we had a ton of luggage, plus elderly and children. The concierge not only didn't help with an umbrella, but was also hesitant about lending one for us to get to the car

The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived to the ned of our stay and rightly recommended the breakfast where everything was cokked to order (no sad breakfast buffet here)

You get Sydney's best view, the Harbour Bridge, right from your room. The room itself is spacious and clean, and it's super convenient to get a taxi to the city or for shopping

The location is obviously perfect, being just a couple of minutes from Circular Quay train station and on top of the wharf for ferries to everywhere as well as just across the road from the Royal Botanic Garden and a short stroll from the Sydney Opera House
