Was a nice stay, clean room and bathroom. Bed wasn’t very comfortable but can’t complain from the price.
Neighbours were super loud and rude when entering the shared hallway. Not sure sure we would stay again

We had a great stay at Sovereign. The location is great for access to surfers paradise, and a great area to explore.
Staff were friendly, and our deposit was released quickly.

The room we stayed at was out dated and old, not like what we saw online. There was moulded walls and skirtings and the room smelt of harsh chemicals for 2 days, could not stay in the room for long. Had to pay if we wanted towels and no service. The bath was yellow and the shower curtain was moulded. Would not recommend staying here if hygiene is a priority!!

Beautiful two bedroom, one bathroom+toilet unit on the ground floor.
Warm welcoming feeling as we entered the unit.
We arrived late, and hotel has enabled online check in for us with codes sent securely.
We would stay here again when we return to the Gold Coast.
Highly recommended!

The moment I walked in, there was a strong smell of stinky feet. The bathroom drain is placed too high, so the water doesn't drain properly. It was super noisy at night, and the soundproofing was terrible.

A pleasant stay, staff were friendly. For the price, the twin room was well equipped with everything we needed. We also had a sea view from the balcony! The pool and spa were nice additions, but with the proximity to the beach and tram we made the most of the location

Nice hotel. I choose the one bedroom suite which was great with a nice balcony.
Issues:
The washing machine was full with soaked unwashed towels when I arrived. There were however fresh towels available for use.
No breakfast.
One of the 2 elevators was out of service during my entire stay and the other one was often quite busy taking ages to arrive.
Pool was large but freezing cold.
Pros:
Bed was very comfortable. The outdoor Jacuzzi was nice. Staff were very friendly when available (no one present at reception after hours)
Nice balcony
Very roomy and clean suite

Stayed room 02 ground floor perfect when you have small kids not getting worried if they try to climb the rails in the veranda. Room is newly renovated and clean. Not fun of glass dining and coffee table when you have small kids around. However we are happy with our stay. Close to tram station which is good.

I thought this restaurant is the best place to have a buffet. Because they have great food and service they also have a welcome drink .I would suggest you to go to the desert area because it has lots of sweets, cupcakes, fruits tarts, and ICE CREAM!!!. They also have lots of seafood and salads that you should try too.
We also had a good staff member named: Alex.T. He was great because he always checked on us when we needed something. And once again THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all table was not ready. Secondly the variety was terrible! $89 PER HEAD with a very limited range seafood & cooked meats. SEAFOOD smelt off.

1 pasta
Bread rolls stale with NO BUTTER

Service was 1 out of 10. The waiter had a smirk when asking if we wanted drinks clearly as there was 2 pregnant women.

Never again!

$400 on about half a kilo of cheap prawns & salad

We were here last july 2016 and were very impressed with this place. That impressed we decided to come back with family tonight.

What a disappointment! The food quality has changed. The very small oysters weren't even worth the effort of eating. Tasteless, unlike last year, lovely size and plump and full of flavour.

Desert bar is nothing to talk about. Not much of a selection . Good for kids if you want ice cream.

Won't be back again.

Buffet @ $82/pax is not worth it.

Summary:
- Cockroach found, nothing done about it.
- Bad service.
- Food was not good, definitely not worth the price.

1/ Cockroach found crawling outside and across the window next to where we were seated at, and no action was taken for the first few times we raised the issue.

They say prawns are the cockroaches of the sea, and there was just no way I could continue eating any more seafood after that.

(We have photo evidence of the cockroach.)

2/ Service: From the moment we had approached the receptionist, Ryan, we had been served with a rather judgmental treatment, and was given the wrong information that it’s $82 PER hour.

When we shared about our experience while paying for the bill, he almost tried to quickly remove our feedback form. And simply shrugged and said there was nothing they could have done about the cockroach.

Wrong. The service staff could have changed our table right away and perhaps offer an apology or a drink. Instead, they let us sit at the table for another 15 min, before we had to alert them of the situation again to have a change of table. (And nope, the restaurant was not crowded.)

3/ The cooked seafood was not particularly fresh, and the desserts were quite a disappointment too.

Overall, a super disappointing dinner for our holiday trip.

Take your money elsewhere, Australia has MUCH. better food in other places.

(First time leaving an online review on anything because I absolutely had a nasty time at Citrique.)

I was glad to have found this place after trying several buffets around brissy and gold coast. The food was excellent, most of the seafood was fresh and the selection was plenty, pizza was so good, hot food was above average. Personally, I was surprised as even the desserts, which is often the most neglected part of a hotel buffet, were delicious. Since my first time here, we came back twice. The hosts were friendly when greeting and when we were leaving Donna even gave us a card for two drinks. One feedback would be the service could be improved especially in clearing the plates and filling up the water. But it's not keeping us from coming back.

Dinner and show was amazing. Exciting fun and will have you grinning ear to ear. I took my girlfriend and I eat quite a lot, we had plenty to eat. Music, food, entertainment makes for a good start to the night. Not for people that just want food and to chat. Defiantly be recommending to others.

Dont bother going if you are gluten intolerant, they do not substitute, you simply do not get the sauces so the meat is dry and tasteless. Overpriced food and the drink prices are outrageous. Waited over an hour for our chef, very poor service from our waitress. Chef forgot to give me vegetables.The bill was $920.00 with a $119.00 surcharge for a holiday, and we were still hungry. We eat out a lot but won't dine there again.

Came here to eat for our honeymoon. Great food, great entertainment, amazing service, loved every second. Made us feel special with a surprise for the occasion. Could not ask for a better night.

A bit pricey, but the food is absolutely out of this world!
All the food is prepared at the griddle plate on the table by the chef's that entertain you as they cook.
If you can afford it, then it's an amazing evening out for the family.
My favourite place to eat in Surfers :)

This place is huge and appears very 'commercial'. Food is average and the Wine list is extremely limited. It is worth trying once if visiting Surfers, but I would not rush back. Poor value for money in my view.

Some interesting differentiators from your typical buffet:

+ None of the food is labelled. This feels odd at first but it's to encourage interaction with the (many) chefs, and you can work a lot of it out just looking. All the kitchens are open and right behind the buffet counters.

+ You can order some food (steak, dumplings) from the buffet and it's delivered to your table later (included in the price). So remember your table number.

+ An incredible range of seasoning near the steak counter. ~8 different blends of salt. I think they serve the steak pretty close to unseasoned so you can do your own thing - so don't forget to try a few different condiments.

Food specific stuff:

+ Awesome tiger prawns (and a decent range of seafood generally).

+ Turkish delight at the dessert station! And a very unconventional rocky road (didn't taste any nuts, but I think there was peppermint oil, jelly beans and maybe freeze dried strawberries mixed through). Different but nice.

+ If it's on, don't miss the roasted tomato soup and the Margherita pizza.

All in all: worth the price if you've got an appetite! Friendly staff, great setting and tasty food. Even the vegetarian in our party was happy.

Amazing food and layout. Multiple chefs and kitchen hands available to assist with any enquiries. This place is all you can eat on a very high quality scale. I would recommend for all occasions... Maybe not divorce though!

We held our work Christmas function there yesterday. Food was fantastic. Had a great range of hot and cold options and the taste was amazing. Great value for money, will definitely be going back.

My wife and I attended our work Christmas party on Sunday. The variety of food was awesome, the staff were all friendly and helpful and I would recommend trying if seeking variety dining on the gold coast.

A special mention to Paul and the team of chef's for providing an enjoyable selection of meals to choose from, hard not to return for more helpings.

We have found a new favourite when returning to the coast!

Best Buffet myself and my partner have every been to !
Service, Presentation , Food Variety & options were out of this world!

But the service we received from the lovely young lady at the front of house I believe her name was " Chelsea " is what really set this place apart from any restaurant we have ever been to.

Thank you Chelsea for being accommodating and making our experience so amazing :) Definitely will be returning when we visit Gold Coast again.
