Breakfree Imperial Surf in Gold Coast

Was pretty disappointed with this stay, the whole room was covered in bugs, alive and dead, in the bathroom, in the kitchen just hundreds of moths and other critters, the room also had a very strong bad smell of cleaning products of some sort almost as if it was sprayed to cover another smell, the master bedroom didn’t have a window that was able to be opened so it was very hot and stuffy. When we tried to turn on the aircon we noticed a lot of mold on top and around it and it was broken and did not turn on anyway. I’m very displeased with this stay and would not recommend anyone visits here

The receptionist was so rude , very dry and was talking to us like we were dumb people. Terrible woman
The building manager , oh god watch out for him , also very rude and got in my face when asked about access to the carpark bins. Oh man he is disgusting.

But other then that , room we had was absolutely gorgeous and stunning, very clean and had beach views. Kitchen amenities as well access to indoor outdoor pools

Will I stay here again..... Highly unlikely

We booked for 6 nights but left after one night & found somewhere else. It was dirty, smelly, dusty. The TV, airconditioner, didn’t work. No batteries! We bought some & they still didn’t work.Was told we would have to wait till they got the maintainable worker to check it out….. The hot water in the shower was minimal. The lobby on level 12 stunk like 40 years of never being cleaned. Wouldn’t walk in bare feet anywhere. The bed was small & old. Scary all round. Veranda had black dust on it. Windows didn’t fit properly anymore so old. So loud. Looks like they are running it into the ground before they knock it down. I’d expect more from Accor. It’s not exactly cheap. We were offered another room we went to see it. It was just as bad. No thanks! I couldn’t wait to get out of there & have a shower somewhere clean. I didn’t go anywhere near the kitchen to scared. Little roaches running around…vomit! And we had the refurbished room!
If you value cleanliness I wouldn’t stay here.
Just so disappointing we had to go find another place & waste our time doing that. They still charged us for one night. But the only good thing is we did eventually get a refund for the 5 nights.
Never again!
