Schlosshotel Fiss in Fiss

It's the 4th year in a row we attend the Schlosshotel Fiss for skiing holidays, and that's for a reason. There is no other place in the Alps that combines so many assets than this hotel. It's ski-in ski-out (with a top ski shop in the hotel) and has a top kitchen, marvelous wine cellar managed by Peter and Sam. The staff is incredibly friendly and always eager to help with whatever they can, especially Viktor and Tobias, at reception. The hotel has an immense spa that is extremely well looked after by the staff. The 'aufguss' sessions are legendary (especially the one on Friday with Babsie, with ABBA music). Every year, we meet the same people at this hotel and some of them have become friends that we see at home. It's perhaps not the cheapest hotel in the Alps, but still its value for money.

We loved the attention and detail at this amazing family hotel. Food is of high quality and menus well crafted with distinction in mind. Kids had an amazing time between the ski slopes and water facilities and teen club. We are definitely coming back!

We have stayed here twice now, and had wonderful experiences both times. The creche wasn't brilliant for our 2 year old but the 4 an 5 year olds loved the kids club. There is a ski hire shop within the hotel and a lift takes you straight from the boot room/shop up to the slopes. It is a bit of a trek to get across to Bertas Kinderland but worth it! Food is amazing and service second to none. Rooms are all clean and well appointed, and perfect for families.

We loved our time at Schlosshotel Fiss. The location was great, particularly the amazing views. The hotel itself was beautiful and extremely child friendly, and there were a number of activities for children nearby as well (with stunning views for adults). This is a perfect hotel for young families, but it may not be right for you if you are looking for a quiet/ adults only experience, given how many young families there are (at least in August). Don’t hesitate to book …this is our 4th visit! 5* all inclusive luxury in every aspect of the hotel, great family rooms, incredible spa with water slide, jacuzzis, huge pool which goes from inside to outside, amazing adult spa with multiple steam and saunas and a family spa too where you can take the kids. The food is out of this world the best buffet and then at dinner you have a choice to have a 5 course Michelin standard meal or buffet and you have a choice of about 30 cheeses too with truffle honey which is a must! Never eaten so much but beautiful food and the kids loved it too! The customer service is excellent from the cleaners, bar men, waiters/waitresses to reception staff can’t fault them. I struggle daily with back pain (the beds are very comfortable) and the second night they added a foam topper to help my back. A special mention to the guys down in the hotel ski shop so helpful and charming nothing is too much trouble and so brilliant with our kids. Pop up the lift straight onto the slopes what more can you ask for! Our kids feel so relaxed in this hotel they happily go down to the kids play area where there is gaming, pool, table football, a climbing wall area so we finish supper in peace! So sad to be leaving and cannot wait to come back again!

I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We were blown away by it all. The way it is managed (professionally and efficiently), the spa area (clean, spacious, functional and comfortable), the bar and restaurant (great staff, fresh and plentiful food). The rooms are super spacious. Comfortable and super clean. Not a marble clad over-modern aesthetic folly but a really proper mountainside Austrian home from home. If I was pressed to find something to criticise I would say that the lift system is sometimes overloaded at busy periods so you might wait quite a while for a lift to come - there seems to be only one lift in each wing. This didn’t detract from the holiday but it was something we noticed. On the last day my son didn’t feel well and the well oiled machine that is the reception/concierge revved into action and suddenly he had products from the pharmacy and an appointment at the medical centre. The Beef Club was a superb way to spend our final night and comparable to any top class restaurant in London, New York etc. Prices are generally comparable with other mountain hotels of this quality so if you’re looking for a budget break, this may not be it. I haven’t come back from a ski holiday feeling so relaxed and revitalised for a long time. This hotel seems to take the stress out of everything and leave you feeling renewed and happy.

We just returned from a 5 night stay and wow we loved this hotel. Our first ski trip as a family, and what a fantastic hotel we stayed at. A beautiful room, lovely food and the most helpful staff. The kids did not want to leave! Hopefully we get to return next year. Thank you Schlosshotel Fiss.

Amazing hotel….amazing food and above all amazing service/people It just ticks all the boxes, the facilities in the hotel and the surrounding area are superb and the scenery is spectacular Thank you for making me and my daughter feel so welcome Simon & Lily

It is a five star hotel! The nature, the mountains any the hiking trails are really amazing.
