Great hotel, stayed for one night on a trip, rooms are brilliant same with the facilities, staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Great recommendations on places to eat and drink, rent gear and things to do! Will definitely visit again

We are just about to check out from The People's Hotel in Kaprun following a fantastic 5 night skiing break. I travelled with my adult son and so we opted for a small self catering apartment. The room was fantastic with everything you could need for a short break and plenty of space. The little kitchen was well appointed with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, small dishwasher, electric kettle, and coffee machine (no oven, but not needed) and enough pots, pans and crockery. Underfloor heating, shower with a seat (very relaxing after a hard day's skiing) , balcony (Riverside apartment). As the apartments are in the 'older' part of the hotel, the Alpenrose, I did wonder if they would be more dated and old fashioned than the new hotel, but everything was wonderful and recently refurbished. Heidi , at Reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bar area was relaxed and modern. We opted for B&B and breakfast was varied and plentiful. There is also very secure parking garage in the basement and a secure ski / boot room. Just 50m from the main Maiskogel gondola, the main ski hire shops and a great supermarket with excellent toy shop/ souvenirs etc downstairs. The Schneiderei restaurant next door is also excellent. Thank you all.

Absolutely excellent as always! Coming here since 2008 and will come back every year. Exceptional service and a great team to support the trip. Perfect location, great apartment, great thermal suite with view. Ideal for friends and big groups!

Our group had a fantastic stay with Barbara and Bart. Very nice rooms, plenty of storage space (closets), an exquisite breakfast (wow!), and very friendly service. The location right next to the ski lift makes it absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

The Alpenrose guesthouse has been transformed into the People's Hotel. We stayed in the main building and had a double room on the second floor. It had a double bed, a TV, a balcony, an armchair, as well as storage space, a wardrobe, and drawers. The bathroom had a shower. The hotel is family-run, and the owners also have cats Kiki and Mozart. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also very generous, with fruit, cereals, various yogurts, eggs, different salads, bread, jam, a tea station, coffee machines, and you can even order eggs to be served. There is an underground parking garage that costs five euros per night. Alternatively, you can park publicly at the Kaprun Center, from where you can drive directly to the Kitzsteinhorn. It's a five-minute walk to Kaprun's town center, and there's an ADEC supermarket next to the hotel. On the third floor, there's a lovely sauna with a Finnish sauna and a bio sauna. Bathrobes and towels are provided in the room. You can also use the outdoor sauna area, although it is visible from the outside. We would come again

Fantastic stay, super friendly helpful staff and owner.. Room was great, clean modern really good, breakfast has a massive selection.. loads to eat. Great location to ski lifts and bars and restaurants.. I've stayed in a few places in Austria this is was us there with best..
