What a fantastic stay! The hotel is warm, staff friendly and efficient, rooms comfortable and clean, and the spa was excellent. The location is spot-on, right between two lifts (Bernkogelbahn and Kohlmaisbahn), and a short walk from the Schattberg X-Press. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The spa area is on the smaller side, but clean and comfortable with an excellent sauna and plunge pool. It is textile free - so be prepared! Eric's aufguss saunameister sessions very worth planning around too.

Excellent stay in a wonderful Chic hotel. From the initial welcome at check in through to departure a lovely experience had by all. Relaxing lounge area, great quality and choice of food in the restaurant added to by excellent service by the staff. Our room 125 was exceptional, great facilities and large rooms. 10/10 Stay here if you have the opportunity

We had a pleasant stay at the Eva village hotel. Right in the middle of the centre of Saalbach. Almost next to the gondel-lift. Very Nice people working at Eva’s. They try there best making our stay pleasant.

Great location. Lovely charming hotel. Clean and well maintained. Owners made a point of saying hello so very welcome. Bar staff great and restaurant staff worked hard. Eva Alm bar is great for atmosphere and food (though expensive) but Eva herself made room for us 11!

Upon arrival had to argue to get what we paid for which was an upgraded room. If IUpon arrival had to argue to get what we paid for which was an upgraded room. If I wouldn’t have had a friend with me that spoke German I’m not sure if we would have got what we paid for and they were willing to give us the downgraded room for the more expensive price. The staff that worked at the restaurant in the hotel was far from friendly. The bartender and housekeeping were amazing. Other than that, this was just a standard hotel.

Restaurant: Staff during our first week of our stay, specifically one waiter, was extremely rude. Everything for us felt like a race against the clock, ordering, eating, ... When our course was finished, but the children were still eating, the next courses were already 'thrown' on the table. Cutlery for desert was thrown in the middle of the table, with the implicit unspoken message, 'sort it out yourselves'. Requests which other waiters fulfilled without any issues or problems, were not possible according to this waiter. I've never experienced anything like this in my whole live. Unimaginable to have to describe this treatment in a 4 star superior hotel. Even a bar or fastfood place has better service. After complaining, this issue was sorted out. But In our opinion, this should not have been an issue in the first place! Check-in: We did not receive a welcoming drink, like all the other guests did. Check-in was very chaotic. We eventually ended up in our room without even receiving key-cards. Just information about the Joker Card. Then we were told that everything else we should already know from the previous visit 8 years ago. Also mentioned the welcoming drinks during our visit to the reception for our complaint about the restaurant staff member. Message we got there: oh, we follow a strict protocol for check-ins, that should not happen. "If you want, you can have the drink now". We did not accept the drink, as we absolutely don't want to beg for things. A small attention could have made this very human mistake, forgettable (e.g. some fruit in the room, or some drinks in the room). But not a single bit of initiative from the staff. In general, we got the idea or the impression that we were a nuisance to the staff, that's at least the vibe we got off of everybody. No apologies received, no compensation whatsoever. So we wonder where this 4 stars with superior ranking comes from. Compared to other comparable ranked hotels we visited the last 8 years, this hotels barely deserves 3 stars. And where was the management, they were complete champions in their absence! So would we recommend Eva Village to other people. NO. Absolutely not.

Just returned from a fantastic family holiday to Eva village in Saalbach. This hotel gets the right balance between smart luxury and relaxed family hotel. Saalbach also a wonderful place for a family holiday with loads of activities in the mountains for children all accessed for free! We will definitely recommend to friends and family.
