Eva,Garden in Saalbach

We came for a ski vacation.
The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable.
It is a 10 minute walk from the lifts.

My one moan is that the hotel advertises itself as ski in ski out. It isn't. The walk to the lift is short, only 5 minutes but a pain on the way home as it is uphill. And you need to navigate to the bottom of the kohlmais lift at the end of the day as otherwise it's a 15 minute walk from the other lifts. There doesn't seem to be a ski bus in the town. The hotel does offer a limited shuttle service but only twice am and pm. Moan over. This is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms, with plenty of storage, good wifi and a decent bath. A pleasant little bar, and excellent food at breakfast and dinner, although perhaps short on carbs. But you can fill up with truly wonderful bread (different rustic bread every night)! And a great cheese board. Very friendly and helpful service: a real family feel. Pleasant house wine at 50 euro, beers at about 8 euro. Heated boot rack in the ski room. It's a short walk to the centre if you are looking for fun before or after dinner. Just before you get into the centre you pass four very lively bars. Take your choice! My son and I opted for the off piste bar most evenings: a real crush but very entertaining downstairs in the cellar. A bit further on and you can find the Mpreis supermarket. And lots of other bars. Skiing is great. The three areas link up well with only a short walk between them. Snow cannons everywhere and the pistes are very well kept. Quite a few nice restaurants especially on the kohlmais slopes. Generally very few lift queues even on a sunny Sunday. All in all I spent a very happy week here and would love to return.

Great hotel. Quieter part of town about a 10 minute walk from the centre. Shuttle in the morning to the lifts if you really did not fancy the walk. Good size rooms, great shower and always hot water. Food was fantastic. Breakfast buffet with lots of choices coupled with fresh bread. Evening meals were delicious, salad, soup, choice of main (always good selection inc veg), sweet and cheese. Staff all very attentive

The hotel suited us perfectly being just out the centre so it was a peaceful retreat after skiing . Beautiful room and beautiful views from the balcony . The waiting staff Peter and David were exceptional going above and beyond to help you advise where to go if you wanted it . We would love to come here again .

Excellent stay highly recommend
Just home from a wonderful stay at Eva Garden. Service and food were both excellent. Location 5 stars overall a very enjoyable stay by all.

We were a large group of friends ages from 16 to 63 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing at all times and enhanced our stay. We hope to return next year and would recommend Eva Garden to everybody.

A perfect place to stay in Saalbach. Quiet, clean rooms, friendly staff, close walking proximity to the "centre". Do you need anything else? Maybe... if you stay only for a few days, take their dinners too ;)

Eva Garden is a nice hotel in a Austria style. It is just located outside the city center but on walkig distance to skilifts. The Kohlmaisbahn is the one most close to the hotel. Next to Kohlmaisbahn you can rent your ski and go for a drink after skiing. Between the Kohlmaisbahn and the hotel is a small hill. The rooms and the hotel are clean. We had the possibility to park the car for free next to the hotel. Breakfast is very good. The dinner is also good, if they improve the maincourse a bit. The owner assured us that this would be fixed a.s.a.p. In the end a great week and the staff helped us very well.
