I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly can’t recommend it enough. The location is excellent—very walkable to many major sights and about a 30-minute walk to the Museum Quarter. It’s also extremely close to the metro, and most Uber rides to destinations within a 40-minute walk were around $10, which made getting around incredibly easy. Despite being so central, the area felt quiet and calm.

As a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe, both in the neighborhood and in the hotel itself.

I visited during the off-season, so I can’t speak to how the value compares at busier times of year, but for my stay the value felt outstanding, especially since my room was unexpectedly upgraded upon arrival, which was such a lovely treat.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. The bed is on the firmer side but still comfortable. I appreciated the in-room Nespresso machine and tea, as well as the Le Labo bath products. The shower had great water pressure, which is always a plus.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful without ever being overbearing. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, but the quality more than made up for it—the eggs were genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had, and the cappuccinos were excellent.

Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Lovely new hotel in a great location - close to everything & public transport links, but manages to be in a quiet location at Rudolf Plaz. The staff were fantastic & helped with arranging an anniversary trip for me & my wife, including arranging flowers in the room upon arrival. Rooms were a nice mix of modern & traditional decor, while the rest of the hotel looks well decorated & furnished too. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Palais Rudolf as a family and honestly, it was one of those places that just feels right from the moment you walk in.

The rooms are beautiful, full of character, and spotlessly kept. The little details made all the difference.. fresh flowers, thoughtful touches, and a sense of care that you don’t always find, even in much larger hotels. Our son felt right at home, which as any parent knows, makes or breaks a family trip.

The location is fantastic & Breakfast was a highlight for us. Sitting there with a proper coffee, fresh pastries and simple, well-executed dishes while our son felt completely at ease.. that balance of grown-up atmosphere and family comfort is not easy to achieve, but they do it effortlessly. The staff were attentive without ever being intrusive, always happy to help with recommendations or anything we needed.
As someone who works in hospitality myself, I know how much effort goes into making a stay feel this effortless. Palais Rudolf nails it. We left feeling rested and already talking about when we can come back.

If you are looking for a place with character, calm elegance and genuine hospitality, this is it. We left rested, happy and already talking about coming back.

Thank you for having us.

Great new hotel. There is a kettle, coffee, tea, sugar. High-quality cosmetics in the bathroom, dry wipes, hairdryer. TV without smart TV. It was quiet for us
The hotel has a gym and a relaxation room in case you arrive earlier than check-in or leave later than check-out, but the entrance is by key so how to get there after check-out is unknown
A little dirty carpet and there were black hairs on the bed. Once they forgot a dusty face towel on the bedside table

Starting from the positive aspects, the location is very convenient, not too noisy, but less than a 10 minute walk to the old town. Perfect for exploring during the day and resting during the night. Very clean, recently renovated, staff is very polite and helpful. You can feel a little bit of minimalist luxury vibe. In terms of what could be better, the gym is very limited, lacking equipment, even the treadmil is inconvenient. The hotel itself lacks space and facilities. The room service never replaced our water, even after we had to ask for it once in the lobby the cleaning staff was not informed. There were no robes or slippers, which was inconvenient considering we did not take our own. The breakfast was okay, but lacked options, the pastries were tasty and fresh, but the menu had only avocado toast and scrambled eggs as main options, while bacon was always overcooked. For 29 EUR per person we have expected a little better breakfast with more variety. Overall - a cosy but highly overpriced experience, where we felt that we paid not for the service quality but rather location and recent rennovation.

The hotel has been renovated and everything looked great. I stayed here in December during the Christmas season, and despite it being a very busy time, the service and overall approach were excellent. Every request and need I had was handled quickly, warmly and with genuine care.

As a solo traveler, I also felt very safe in the area and around the hotel at all times. If you’re looking to stay centrally while still being away from the crowds, Palais Rudolf is a wonderful choice. For those who want a modern, clean hotel right in the city center, I would definitely recommend it. I walked everywhere during my stay — within 3 to 5 minutes of leaving the hotel, you’re already in the heart of the city, surrounded by major landmarks as well as Vienna’s most famous cafés and restaurants.

Despite being so central, the hotel was very quiet, which made it easy to rest and sleep well. The room was warm, comfortable and well designed for a winter stay.

Another lovely detail was the bathroom amenities: all products are from an iconic and characterful niche perfume house. It was a pleasant surprise to find one of my favorite scent from the brand across the full range of hygiene and personal care products in the bathroom.

A special thank you for the warm, friendly and attentive service throughout my stay. Considering the location, comfort and service, the hotel offers very good value for money.

If I return to Vienna, I would gladly stay here again.

The hotel was overbooked; our reservation was cancelled at the last minute. I do not recommend it.

It would be nice if there was a nice bar where we could enjoy the evening.

The room is clean and tidy. The location is good. It is not in the downtown area but it is only a 5-minute walk to Encore Bell.
