We booked a twin room. On the night of our check-in, my friend discovered that there was no hot water, and she had to take a cold shower, which made her feel unwell. I reported this to the reception, and the staff responded that all of Vienna was undergoing maintenance, so there was nothing they could do. We also heard other guests complaining about the same issue, yet the reception simply suggested taking a cold shower—showing no empathy.
If this maintenance was planned, the hotel should have informed us at check-in and offered some form of compensation, which we did not receive.
On the second day, our room was not cleaned at all, and we had to call staff in the evening to request basic cleaning. The staff member who arrived could not speak English, not even simple phrases, which made communication very difficult and is unacceptable.
