Reviews
The bathroom was unbearable: every time we turned on the ventilation fan, the room filled with a strong urine smell. We reported it to reception and were told they would check it and possibly change our room. Nothing was actually fixed. It felt like they simply sprayed some fragrance to cover it up, because the exact same smell was back the next morning.
On top of that, the soundproofing was nonexistent. We could literally hear a phone vibrating in the next room. Housekeeping started early (around 8:30 a.m.) and made an incredible amount of noise—banging furniture and cleaning as if there were no guests trying to rest.
The room itself felt old and worn out, and the mattress and pillow were terrible. After five nights, I woke up with back pain.
I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. **A complete disappointment.**
A very friendly guy from great Philippines !!!
There are no words for him!!!
HE IS THE BEST ALL THE FIVE STARS ARE FOR HIM!!!
Thank you John
Georgia and friends from Greece!
Pouyan, who took over the morning shift, was just as attentive as Emilio and did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable. They made us feel like guests in their own home, and we are truly grateful to them.
Within 7 days, we stayed at 3 different Meininger hotels in 3 different countries, and each one was excellent in its own way.
Our stay at Hotel Meininger Sissi was awful. The hotel advertises family-friendly prices – but the cost was anything but reasonable. The bathroom was full of mold and had a strong, very unpleasant odor. We then checked other rooms – but the heavily visible mold was present in all of them. The carpets were old and very dirty – simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. We immediately moved to another hotel.
There is only one bus line very close but many tram/metro stops within a short walk.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, a little far from the center (which was perfect for us).
Lots of good restaurants and cute cafes nearby.
Can't wait to come back again.
the hotel also has dorms so be prepared for (in my case, well-behaved) teenage tour groups.
It was pretty decent hotel. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. They even have a kitchen where guests can store there food in fridge, cook meals on electric stove, etc. The supermarket is very close to the hotel around 2-3 minutes walk.
The only issue is that, they do not have "do not disturb" signage.
Otherwise, would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Also they don't have "Do not disturb signs".
Breakfast is poor.
