The air conditioner isn't working, and you have to pay for a bottle of water.

It's been a few years since I last stayed here, and it was a bit disappointing that the amenities and other services had become more basic. The breakfast was still delicious.

I stayed here to watch an opera at the State Opera House. It has a calm atmosphere and is safe even late at night. It was equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning, bathtub, hair dryer, espresso machine, bathrobes, and other amenities. I asked for an electric kettle for tea and it was brought right away. All the staff were kind.

The room needs to be renovated. We have enjoyed the stay and will come again soonssss

Great location, but problems with electricity in the room, the light can turn on by itself at night.

The room was very satisfactory, and it felt like living in a palace. The breakfast was very rich. The location was convenient, close to the bus and subway, and next to the State Opera and the Vienna Golden Hall, which were within walking distance.

Stayed for 2 nights, the room was clean, daily clean up was fine. Breakfast was not buffet, but you could order whatever you want except two on menu. The services for the first two days were good, the third day was poor in restaurant, like forcing you out. Location is good for reaching any spots.

Old looking Ritz Carltons. The Interiors look like they haven’t been refurbished or renovated from the furniture, flooring. Service was not great from a 5 star, I am pretty sure that’s just how Austrians are, not as catering as other places. There isn’t anywhere to just lounge and chill and eat at during a busy period like Christmas. It just seems like there isn’t enough space for all Hotel guests...

Amazing hotel, one of the best in Vienna

I stayed for 3 days, and the service mostly met my expectations. They helped with luggage, and the turndown service and daily room cleaning were all provided as they should be. The rooftop bar also offers a nice view. There's a gym and a pool downstairs too. Breakfast really depends on the main course you order; after a few days, I found the English breakfast and Eggs Benedict to be quite good....

The room, while not large, is in an old, historic building, but it's very comfortable and clean. The service was excellent; despite a minor hiccup, everything was handled perfectly afterward. Every evening, someone would come to the room to leave water and chocolates – they left a generous amount of water. This was the most satisfying hotel of our entire trip.

The hotel is in a great location accessible by tram. As a Gold Elite member, I also received a complimentary upgrade from the base room to a junior suite as well as other welcome gifts. Breakfast was served à la carte, and the amenities were great. One small critique is that reception and guest services were often too busy to answer calls, requiring us to go down to the lobby for assistance. But...

In these days where even a five stars classification is not a guarantee of quality, this hotel was a pleasant surprise, providing a true hospitality experience. The position is unrivalled, being only minutes of walking distance away to Stephansdom, Hofburg and other important points of interest. We spent 3 nights in cozy room, the only improvement we could reccomend is an additional mattress in case of additional bed. The folding sofa had very thin and hard surface for our daughter... Otherwise it has been very clean, with good sound insulation from the street. The position on station of 2 subway lines close to the downtown and Schobrunn is surplus.

Very good hotel. I stayed there for 7 nights. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good too. The area is quiet and right across from the metro station, which is very convenient. You can go everywhere very easily, within 15-20 minutes.

Average for a 5-star hotel. The breakfast and staff were excellent, but the housekeeping and maintenance were inefficient (they left us for two days with half of the bathroom sliding door blocked; it's impossible that housekeeping didn't see it and report it before making it available). Slippers and toiletries were missing. It's impossible to rate a 5-star hotel with 3-star service!

My friend who is with me thought : We booked a twin room. On the night of our check-in, my friend discovered that there was no hot water, and she had to take a cold shower, which made her feel unwell. The service was excellent. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. Since I didn't have cash for the taxi, the hotel even paid for it, which was a huge help. The room was spacious, and the mini-bar was free. Great value for money!

The hotel's location is fantastic! I loved the view of the Danube. Our room's air conditioning wasn't working and it was freezing, so the front desk upgraded us directly to a Black Suite, which was a wonderful surprise! The room was huge! Highly recommended, very friendly staff. The cleaning staff was a bit overwhelmed, I think maybe there weren't enough people.

Location is great, 5 minutes off Westbahnhof. However, the room was not up to standard. It had disastrous ventilation. I had a very pleasant stay at Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is excellent—just a 1-minute walk from Vienna Central Train Station, which made getting around extremely convenient. It’s very new hotel , everything is clean and new. Great location : Vienna main train station is right downstairs and 5 mins walk to Flixbus stop, 15mins walk to Belvedere palace. Cable bus D takes 6 stops to Karntner street. Highly recommended and if will be the place to stay if I need to visit Vienna again.

Gartenhotel Altmannsdorf is Vienna’s best kept secret! Large, spotless rooms, with modern furnishings and inclusions. The underground station (U6 Am Schöpfwerk) is less than a 10 min walk. We loved it! One of the rare times a hotel was everything it advertised: pretty, in a scenic garden with deer and squirrels, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. A nice hotel somewhat distant from the city centre, but that's not an issue as there's a subway stop only a couple minutes' walk away. The environment was okay, and the room was quite spacious, but the heater was broken. The heater was broken, and so was the trash can. It was pretty cold in Vienna during winter without heating.

Without a doubt, the location is the strong point. They should improve the lighting in the rooms, as it's weak for a "*****" space, and upon arrival, the room could have been cleaner, or had less dust.
