We stayed at the Vier Jahreszeiten during our weekend trip to Salzburg. The staff was super friendly, our room was spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. The location of the hotel is perfect and if you have a car, the hotel provides you with a parking ticket so you can park at a discount (26€/day) in the Mirabell Congress Centre Garage, which is 1min away.
We had breakfast at the hotel one of the mornings and it was super tasty. Freshly scrambled eggs, avocado toast and amazing cappuccino/espresso. You can chose single dishes à la carte or you pay a fixed price and you can chose anything from the breakfast menu.
Overall, great place to stay in Salzburg. We will be back.

Vier Jahreszeiten in Salzburg is a prime example of what a boutique hotel should be like : tastefully designed & decorated, personal & friendly staff, attention to detail and good value for money. Location is not exactly in the Old Town, but a 15 min walk will get you there. The super helpful young man at reception got us a room although we arrived well before check-in time. Our room was generous in size with adequate space for luggage. A personal welcome note came with some lovely chocolate and cookies. I would have liked the bathroom a bit bigger, but it's OK if you take turns. We did not have breakfast included in our booking, so they offered us either "a la carte" or "anything you choose from the menu" for €25 . The young lady serving us was just the nicest person and really pampered us. The breakfast room is downstairs behind reception ; a pleasant space and the food was generous and delicious. Our only regret was that we only stayed for 2 nights. Congratulations to management and thank you to the staff !

We loved our stay at the Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel! It is the perfect location with only an 8 minute walk to the main station and 10 minute walk over the river to the old town of Salzburg. The communication with the hotel in the planning process was professional, timely, and very helpful. Their excellent customer service continued to impress us during our stay as the staff suggested local places to eat, Salzburg card, and how to get around. We decided to purchase the Salzburg Card, which we bought right at the hotel and is available at all hotels in Salzburg. We had a lovely corner room with bright windows, which was clean, spacious, and functional. They provided toiletries including soap, shampoo, and lotion. Their buffet breakfast was amazing with meats, fruits, cereals, juices, yogurt, cakes, bread, and more. It was one of our very favorite breakfasts on our trip! We would definitely stay again!

Very charming, good breakfast, clean, everything worked. Staff were helpful and friendly booking events and excursions. Nice quiet area...10 minute walk from rear entrance of train station...use a map! The rear entrance still has escalators and an elevator. About a 7 minute walk to Mirabell palace where bus tours leave from...about 15 minute walk to old town. I liked the location. Central to all. I never took public transportation, all walkable from here. I found the room to be spacious.

This was my first trip to Salzburg and had only two days. The hotel has a great location only 10 minutes away from train station, easy to find and 5 minutes walk from Mirabell gardens, the Old town is also within 15 minutes walk The room and bathroom are clean and spacious and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. At the reception you can get advice for tours, what to see where to eat. Loved the breakfast !! Plentiful and various.

The hotel is with very good location - 10min walk to the main train station, 10 min walk to the Mirabell garden and 15min walk to the hart of the old town. The staff is very polite and helpful, always ready to help. Everywhere in the hotel is more than excellent cleanliness. The rooms are very comfortable with classic furniture and extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom is again incredible clean. The only one disadvantage is the noise from the street (from cars mostly) if the windows are open, but after 20.30-21h is calm (my room was on the first floor). Very good place whit very good price.

Here for a quick business trip and Magnus, the head bartender, makes a Negroni that’s worth the trip in itself. I would highly recommend one, or two, of these craft cocktails. Plus, he and his staff were quite friendly which can be a little hard to dine in Munich. Cheers

I'm satisfied with the hotel, the staff, and everything. However, the elevator is a little small and only a few people can ride the elevator. There is Schloss Mirabell, the background of the 1965 movie Sound of Music.

We stayed here September 2025 and the hotel has been completely redone and was an absolute delight! The rooms are very nice, bathrooms are modern, service was stellar, and the nightstands had usb and usb-c outlets in the walls which was a nice feature traveling from the US.

We loved the location and everything about our stay. Would recommend!
