The overall hotel is full of character. The breakfast in the palace is quite an unique experience. That room is clean. I believe it doesn’t have any AC. But there are 2 fans which work very well for me. Also walkable to Hohen palace. Great location. Highly recommend for vacation or hiking.

Our stay at Schloss Leopoldskron was truly unforgettable. The setting is breathtaking, the history is fascinating, and the views over the lake are simply beautiful. Staying in a place with so much character and heritage made the experience feel very special.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff for arranging an extra bed for our kids. Your kindness and warm hospitality made our family feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.

We spent 3 nights at the Scloss Leopoldskron. We booked in advance and were lucky to have a room in the Palace. From the moment we arrived, we were treated wonderfully by all the staff. The views of the lake, the flowers blooming in the gardens, the outdoor seating, and the charm of the Schloss are top notch. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants, take a stroll around the lake and explore the area while there. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and we were able to enjoy the Terrace view one morning which was amazing. Highly recommend a stay here!

Perplexed by the positive reviews here- this place is comical. Building in disrepair- construction and equipment everywhere. The immediate courtyard for photo ops is well groomed but the grounds are not. Lovely geese but they cover the foam tile (yep, like in a baby nursery) walkways in poop which is then trekked all over the historic building. Oh wait, no you don’t stay in the historic building you stay in a renovated barn with a “lake view” that looks like a prison cell window… while sweating with no a/c. The icing on the cake is the unbelievable stench from the drain pipes…. like rotting death. They sent someone in to pour God knows what down the drain but within a few hours it was back. It had to have been a sewage issue. I can’t believe there aren’t more comments about this. Not one to jump to a negative review but this is NOT deserving of a luxury title or price tag. Breakfast and waiters are lovely- just go for that, don’t stay the night.

The house itself and the grounds are simply perfect. A highland of our trip.
I booked a breakfast here for my daughter's 21st. We were so lucky to have seats on the terrace with a view of the mountains. The breakfast was expensive and you pay for.the.view. Worth it though. The staff were really lovely and nothing was too much effort but the food choice was minimal. Heard other guests say the same. One lady asked for more croissants at 8.30am to be told they'd be over half.hour. We arrived at 8am and most.pastries and yoghurts were gone. The juice was lovely as tasted freshly squeezed. I'd still go again as the breakfast room and scenery was incredible.
We wanted to see the.lake from the sound of music. For this we booked a tour. I do feel thst we wasted £60 on this and ideally would get a refund. We only saw the rooms that we'd already seen at breakfast and the lady spent most of her time talking to a German couple. She was a lovely guide but did repeat a lot of information and it wasn't very engaging. We even had to wait for one room to be opened as a ladder blocked the way. One family left mid tour and many were clearly disengaged. Booking breakfast would have been enough to see what we wanted.
The grounds of the house were picture perfect and great for photos. The coffee shop next door was also really lovely to sit and relax outside.

Only a suite was available, so I booked it. It was a reasonable price, so I only stayed for one night.
The room was quaint, with old furnishings and a great view of the garden.
It was a shame that the hotel didn't have a restaurant where you could have dinner.

The room was quite far from the reception area. I wonder if it was intentional for Chinese people. When you check in, be sure to ask the front desk not to give you the farthest room!!! The room had no air conditioning and was very stuffy. There was only one air conditioner in the attic, but the shower had decent water pressure. The surroundings felt unprotected, and the lake was rather dirty. It wasn't as beautiful as the pictures. The library and breakfast were excellent!

The scenery is beautiful. Chasing the sound of music. But the room has no air conditioning. It's too hot. There is basically no service. There is no refrigerator and no bottled water. To be honest, the family room of 4000 is too low in value for money. If you don't have that sentiment, there is really no need to go.
