Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt, in Salzburg

In the old city, right on the promenade, the rooms in the building next to the hotel are uncomfortable or bad.

This hotel stay was extremely unsatisfactory. We booked a superior room, but were given a room on the top floor with a pointed roof, resembling a loft. This was completely unacceptable. The worst part was that, despite showing us a standard superior room on the third floor, a supervisor suddenly appeared and insisted that all the superior rooms on the third and fourth floors were fully booked, and that the available rooms we had seen were already reserved. He also refused to allow the other front desk staff to speak, and he was the one who was supposed to be there to receive us. He also said we could only get a room on the top floor, like a loft, or one on the ground floor with no windows. His attitude was extremely rude, and his words were very abrupt, suggesting serious discrimination. In the end, we paid an exorbitant price, but only got an upgrade to a suite to get us a room on a standard floor. I'm not sure if Ctrip's low-rate contract meant they could only offer these unsaleable rooms, or if the hotel manager was discriminating against Chinese people. I recommend booking this hotel on Ctrip and confirming the room type first. After checking around, we found that most of the rooms were terrible, with windows facing the wall, dark and damp rooms on the ground floor, or depressing rooms on the top floor. Oh, and the supervisor also said that the room pictures I saw on Ctrip didn't represent the actual room type. Finally, I would like to add that the service attitudes of other hotel staff are good, the restaurant below the hotel is also quite good, and it has a high score on Googlemap. The hotel is in a good location, facing the river on one side and the old city on the other side, and the most prosperous commercial area is just outside the door.

We complain about the wifi and was told we are the only customer compliant about it, all 4 rooms of us are from 108 till 112 facing the same problem, by proving it and only given answer not able to do anything but can give us free drinks when we check out , I rejected the offer.

Next day while collecting our vehicle and the bell boy said one room are entitled for a bag, YOU MUST GIVE bell boy Euro 10 and only getting his unhappy face. (Imagine check in EURO 15 check out EURO 10) room too dark and facility too old!
