I enjoyed my stay at the Astoria. Room was on the small size but OK. Great breakfast,friendly staff,good location for buses. Pity no kettle or fridge in the room but not a major issue!

The hotel is showing its age. The first room, with a balcony, was small and not properly cleaned. There were ants in the shower and black hairs in the bed. The lady showed me the second room without any fuss; it was larger, but didn't have a balcony. Again, the bedside tables were sticky, and the room was very noisy from the street. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. Sorry.

Overall, the facilities were good, but there was only one elevator, so it seemed a bit lacking for the size of the place. The bathroom looked a bit outdated.

Unfortunately no air conditioning while it was 30 degrees. There was a blower in the room but it couldn't really combat the heat.
Small room and bathroom with limited space for your belongings, but clean.
There is a lift... but it stops on the mezzanine so you still have to lug your suitcase up/down the stairs.
Location was good to get to the centre of Salzburg, even possible on foot. They do their best to provide a parking space.
Friendly guy at the reception... BUT I don't like being welcomed as a guest with loud gangsta music in the background and I don't want to hear it in my room.
I can't say anything about the food, we didn't have breakfast there.
Nice detail: hanging chair/hammock on the balcony, USB plugs by the beds and nice lighting around the bed.
Ok for a short stay but not for longer, certainly not at higher temperatures.

The stay at Astoria Hotel was primarily to be reasonably close to the airport for a morning flight. To this end it was perfect. The check in was easy and they provided a lot of information on what was around and how best to get there. The room was nice and ideal for our short stay and the breakfast included was good and good options. The bus stops to the centre is almost outside and from the centre is around 150 metres away.

The Hotel is great.
It's very clean and the staff is amazing.
We got in a bit late, but we called a few hours before to let them know, and the lady was super helpful.
We got parking, at the hotel , which you need to let them know when booking.
But there's a bus stop opposit the hotel , so it is easy to get around.

Recommended, good value for money. It's clean and quiet, and the breakfast is good. Except the place is not in the city center, but there is a bus stop across the road. The restaurant in the brewery/beer museum not far away is great, the fried pork chops are delicious, and the fresh beer is delicious. The environment is clean and spacious. The hotel also gave me a free beer ticket. We ate it for two days in a row because it was so delicious😋
