Reviews
Pros:
• Beyond friendly front desk staff! She was very helpful and explained all the benefits of staying at the hotel; also informing us of their restaurant, bar section, and allowing us to choose our room. Giving us the choice between a room on the top floor or lower floors along with the choice of with a tub or shower only.
• Allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel after our stay for the entire day. Super quick and friendly.
• Beautiful view from the top floor if you get the city view! Unfortunately for us it was a bit foggy so we couldn't see as far, but we could see the palace and a few distinct buildings which was beautiful to see in the morning.
• Right next to the train station! Connected directly to it which is great if you're arriving later in the evening to check in like we did.
Cons:
• Location isn't the best. It isn't exactly run down; but the types of people soliciting outside the hotel wasn't a pleasant experience for us. Instead of dining at one of the few restaurants just outside the hotel, we ate in instead due to this to feel safer.
• A/C isn't truly AC. It is a head-system controlled system I assume meaning all the hotel rooms are the same temperature and you can't fully change it. This is disappointing as it is advertised as being A/C room controlled. It was unfortunately too hot in the rooms for us and we sweated the entire night.
• Couldn't get the TV Chromecast to work :(
• Only 2 lifts work, I've read from other reviews that this has been an ongoing issue for a while. Takes a few minutes for the lift to arrive in the mornings when others are also checking out.
Overall: 3/5 stars. It isn't a bad hotel! Its decent and gets the job done for a nice, cheap quick trip. We'd stay here again if we come to brussels and the prices are just as good. Staff as beyond helpful and super friendly, able to accommodate us to the best of their abilities. Big stars for them. Would recommend for a short quick stay for a day trip in Brussels!
I am writing this review as the tour leader of a large group of over 40 people who checked into Hotel Pullman Brussels Centre Midi tonight (March 2, 2026).
While the hotel itself has a standard appearance, the service and facilities during our stay were completely unacceptable.
1. The Lift Situation:
The hotel lobby is equipped with 3 passenger lifts. Unfortunately, upon our arrival for check-in, 2 of them were out of order, leaving only a single lift to serve the entire hotel. For a group with 24 rooms, this created an impossible bottleneck. We had to wait an incredibly long time just to get our luggage and get to our rooms. This is a basic facility failure that the hotel should have managed better.
2. Unprofessional Staff Attitude:
When I brought this serious issue to the attention of the Duty Manager, Ms. Ashly, at the front desk, I was shocked by her response. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, she was visibly unpleasant and rude. Her attitude was dismissive and showed a complete lack of care for her guests. For a manager to treat a guest with such disrespect is simply not acceptable in any hotel.
3. Insulting "Compensation" for Reviews:
To make matters worse, after finally getting to our rooms, we found that the hotel had left juice and drinks in the rooms. It was very obvious that this was a cheap trick to try and buy positive 5-star reviews from guests. This feels manipulative and dishonest. A hotel should earn good reviews through quality service, not by bribing guests with drinks.
Overall, my experience with the staff, especially Ms. Ashly, was terrible, and the failing facilities made for a very stressful check-in. I strongly advise future travelers to think twice before booking here. There are much better options in Brussels with better management and functioning facilities.
only con would be that our TV wasn’t working on the first night and we’ve informed them. they told us the technician will fix it the next afternoon and we reminded them before leaving the hotel but seems like they forgot about it 🫠 survived 2 nights without TV.
everything else was great as expected of pullman.
Room was left half cleaned (towel not changed, even with a sponge left in the toilet) . Hotel location is great accessible through the train station itself at Exit 2. But the room was extremely warm. Front desk did not pick up the call from the room so had to go down multiple times to try to get the room to be colder. In the end, staff only could say they will send someone up but never did. Only people that work the night shift are the front desk staff so they are understandably busy.
Regrettable that this experience did not match the standard of Pullman at other countries as well as the price of the room. Would not really recommend this hotel unless location is a high priority.
