Eurostars Montgomery in Brussels

Today is 1e Xmas day. About 13:30 pm We are just arrived and inchecken if possible. De man - reception is very arrogant- 100% unfriendly. He say you have to go outside and wait to 15:00 oclock. Restaurant is also closed today. And we ask can we wait inside? Ok. We thinks he do not want to work at Christmas… we understand but you don’t have to angry to customers.

At 15:00 pm - we can inchecken. Fijn! But we have to pay about 200€ moor dan booking because they did not have right booking number. We have to call Booking.com
And oke we don’t have to pay more, their mistake….
Room is smell so, just old rooms.

We are very disappointed about dat, because this is just 5 stars hotel and we do not pay for dat. What a pity!

When I arrived at 1 a.m., I saw that my room was next to a room under maintenance, with a large hose running across the corridor and a constant noise. Since it was so late, I went to bed.

The next day, I started working, but the Wi-Fi was terrible—cutting out during every work meeting I had. I called reception and they told me there was nothing they could do. I went to a company dinner, and when I came back—again late and exhausted—the hose and the noise next door were still there. I asked at reception and they said they didn’t know what it was. They offered to move me to another room, but at that hour I obviously preferred to sleep in the room where all my belongings were. I still don’t understand why I was given a room next to an issue of that magnitude.

The following day, when I woke up, I found a live bed bug on my pillow. At check-out, I reported everything that had happened and I was given no explanation or compensation, despite the fact that all of this is unacceptable. They asked me to send an email with evidence of what I’m describing, and I have not heard back from the hotel since.

Honestly, I travel a lot, and this is one of the worst experiences I’ve had—not so much because of what happened, but because of the company’s complete lack of response.
