Hotel Diva in Chiflik

The hotel is extremely overpriced for what it offers.
It's outdated, it wasn't very clean, especially the ancient carpets. It was very cold, the central heating was either stopped, or didn't work at all, all we had was a small radiator that couldn't possibly warm up the whole room well enough, I even woke up in the night from being cold. The beds in the double rooms are just two separate beds, which is super uncomfortable and unpleasant.
There's barely a spa (just sauna) and the "hot" pool outdoors was lukewarm, I'm not even sure if it got to the 32° advertised and there isn't a proper connection between the hotel and the pool, so you have to get out of the pool in the cold to walk to the hotel.
We paid for breakfast and dinner included, the menu was very sparse and at breakfast, even if you go an hour before it ends, there is almost nothing left.
In the afternoon, we waited for about 15min for someone to come serve us at the lobby bar and the coffee was poorly made.
On a positive note, the ladies at reception were always kind and helpful.

10-15 years ago this might have been a good quality hotel. Today there are just remnants of a glorious past with lack of maintenance and lack of care was visible in each and every aspect of the service. The only guy that seemed to care was the security and one of the bar tenders at breakfast. Overpriced, low-quality, low-service. Only the mineral hot springs can save it. The kitchen was somewhat good, but with low quality products. There was no hot water in the rooms for a good half an hour. Had to call reception twice. I know it may sound as first world problems, but when you ask for these prices, you have to at least pretend to deliver. Service was poor, attitude was bad, toilets next to the pool closed, doors and interior in really bad shape. It might work better if you get the hut nearby in the forest and visit the public mineral pool. At least it would be good value for money. Otherwise Chiflika is a great location with great outdoors and nature, but do not choose Diva for your stay.

The reception desk staff is not friendly at all.
The pool has hot water, which is a problem during the day in spring/summer, because you cannot cool down in the pool.
There is only an outside pool. The problem is that it is dirty and has a variety of things floating in it, including dead bugs, and fallen leaves from the nearby trees.
No parasols near the pool.
The sauna is tiny. It cannot realistically accommodate more than 2 people.
The parking is way too small for the capacity of the hotel. The reservations include a parking spot, but the parking is full and you are supposed to find where to park yourself outside the premise of the hotel.
There's mold around the curtains on the ceiling.
The reservations include an option of "double bed instead of two separate beds". The reservation had to be confirmed twice on the phone, yet no one mentioned, that the hotel does NOT have double beds in double rooms. When asked about the problem with the reservation the staff explained, that they are forced to put double bed as an option, despite not offering it, because otherwise the site would not accept the premise to offer rooms there. They added that their clients "know that the double room does not have one double bed, but two single beds pushed together".
The staff does NOT wear masks.
No food or beverages are allowed to be brought to the complex.
The restaurant is greatly understaffed. It has only one waiter and a sole barman for the whole restaurant.
The breakfast option is rather basic. The coffee is awful.
The room has no air-conditioning whastoever.
There's only one power outlet available (if you do choose to not use the oil-radiator).
The doors are short.
The ventilator in the bathroom doesn't work.
The Wi-Fi is terrible at best.
The bar at the pool is cash only. Te purchases cannot be added to the room's bill due to some problems with the system.
