Food was great. The pool also and the rooms were average. The biggest problem is the parking. There is none. Only privates that rip you off in understanding with hotel employees (most likely they get a percent of the very expensive parking fee).
I like this hotel. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Hotel location is amazing. Nearby sea. The rooms are great and clear. Food well too, including beer 🙂. I recommend this hotel. My vacation in this hotel was very well. Thanks to the staff and owners.
Beautiful place, excellent food with options for everyone, very clean rooms and very helpful staff. Very close to the beach, only five minutes at a leisurely pace. Every evening there is maybe a hour of music for children to have fun, so good place for families with children. We hope to come back next year, we had a lovely time. According to Booking.com and Google maps the location is in the center of Golden Sands, well it's not! I have been driving around for half an hour, some walking and asking around as well but no one knew the hotel and they were even laughing as if I wasn't the first one to ask (and I do speak Bulgarian as well). It's not at the location that's mentioned by both! It's about 3 km North... The balcony...
The room was clean, there was AC in every room, we even had a dishwasher, washing machine, etc. There were two pools, one with a little space for little kids, definitely worth it and will come back again! You could see the sea from the balcony (there were two). You have to go down a few stairs to get to the beach and to the restaurants or supermarkets.
Edit: make sure your data roaming is active, or be prepared to pay up to 7lv a day for internet access. Great place, great value for money! Super close to the beach, despite the 142 stairs it takes to get there. Two moderately-sized pools, well-kept and with the possibility to swim at night as well. Staff was lovely and spoke English. Our towels were practically changed before we could even use them...
Despite advertised no or extremely poor communication in English. Apartments doors equipped with simplest locks that can be opened even by a tooth pick. Kabakum is a nice beach between Varna and Golden Sands. It is around 15 minutes drive from Varna, it is not as dirty as central beaches in Varna and not as windy or cold as Aspurohovo Beach. It has plenty of beach clubs and a few restaurant for a quick bite. The sea is not the warmest or cleanest, but it is okay.
I decided to go there in the afternoon on a Saturday. As a disclaimer, this is not my scene since I like a tranquil day at the beach. The beach was packed with everything from families to couples to groups of friends. There are plenty of restaurants all the way up and down the beach and both free and paid parking. There is nothing like the beaches in Bulgaria! Especially between Varna and Golden Sands! It's a paradise! The sand is soft and clean, the water is clean and calm, feels like velvet under your feet. True there aren't waves big enough to allow for surfing but take it from me- no one here cares for surfing! When you have calm waters and NO sharks you want to swim! And swim and swim... deep as you like...
Umbrella and a pillow at the cost of buying a drink from the beach bar, not crowded and clean sand amd water.
Relatively clean beach, could be hard to access due to badly maintained paths (through the local "jungle"), free parking on the road (or 2€/day)

They messed our booking reservation. We reserved 1 ap with 2 rooms, but they gave us 2 ap with 1 room each. They charged 10 Leva / 5 euro for parking in the area. We had trouble communicating in English with them.
Great hotel, location and breakfast! We've stayed here on many occasions over the years and love it.

bad road's, bad location, very nice building and also the rooms...bad services...only bulgarian language (exccept receptions)... problem with parking, unannounced taxes( depossit for room-bar and damages)...the reception, pool and spa, dinning room( very poor) are not in this location, but in other building(hotel bona vista)

The apartment was very spacious.Has a nice kitchen and a very clean bathroom.Only negative is that is not near the beach.
Best customer service I've experienced in Bulgaria! The owners went out of their way to be friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent as well. Spacious rooms, great wifi, nice pool, the list goes on and on. I wish I could give it even more stars! If you're coming to golden sands stay here!!

Very close to the monastery, aqua park, well located in the golden sands national park, with plenty of panoramic views.Nice and quiet complex, with shops, bus stops being nearby and only 25 minutes from the sea capital Varna. Would highly recommended.
Lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet. Stayed in a studio apartment. The only problem was the smell of mould in bathroom. Also the toilet brush was not clean, really needs to be changed. Lady on reception was very helpful and professional. CHANGE THE TOILET BRUSH
I liked the pool and it’ s realy close to beach, cleanless of the facilities you have the posibility to parc your car underground
Amphora Palace is extremely good for families with kids (2-15 years old). Main part of Owners are from ex-USSR (all parts: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia etc.), who prefer to have silent and kind atmosphere around. For all who do agree to book week-or-more and live in accordance with rules - always welcome! Owner since 2012

Nice hotel, lovely pool but the security staff have no people skills and are rude one of them blamed my son for burning a sign when my 7 year old had not been out that far and non of us smoke so where would he get a lighter? Then the security guard went to the back of the apartment starring in he brought the manager to our apartment and pointed my son out saying he saw him then asked if I had more...
