Food was great. The pool also and the rooms were average. The biggest problem is the parking. There is none. Only privates that rip you off in understanding with hotel employees (most likely they get a percent of the very expensive parking fee).

I like this hotel. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Hotel location is amazing. Nearby sea. The rooms are great and clear. Food well too, including beer 🙂. I recommend this hotel. My vacation in this hotel was very well. Thanks to the staff and owners.

Beautiful place, excellent food with options for everyone, very clean rooms and very helpful staff. Very close to the beach, only five minutes at a leisurely pace. Every evening there is maybe a hour of music for children to have fun, so good place for families with children. We hope to come back next year, we had a lovely time. Very close to the monastery, aqua park, well located in the golden sands national park, with plenty of panoramic views.Nice and quiet complex, with shops, bus stops being nearby and only 25 minutes from the sea capital Varna. Would highly recommended.

Lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet. Stayed in a studio apartment. The only problem was the smell of mould in bathroom. Also the toilet brush was not clean, really needs to be changed. Lady on reception was very helpful and professional. CHANGE THE TOILET BRUSH

Amphora Palace is extremely good for families with kids (2-15 years old). Main part of Owners are from ex-USSR (all parts: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia etc.), who prefer to have silent and kind atmosphere around. This hotel is large and in a great position, being so close to the beach and having a great view of the sea. However, that's as far as it goes. We booked half board and granted there was plenty of food to eat, but the same fare was offered each day. The reception staff were polite, and the cleaning staff were friendly; shame I can't say the same for the restaurant staff, who watch you like hawks....

Had a great rest! The location is good, the beach is nearby! The price-quality ratio was pleasing. I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a peaceful rest on the seashore!

Such a great location, good food, great service. But maybe the worst rooms I've ever seen. Old, decrepit, with spider webs, cracks, ants... The photos you see on websites and booking are of the best rooms, but out of 5 rooms that my group had, all of them had either these issues, or bad sewer smell. Hotel located in perfect point of Golden Sands - near the beach, far from most crowded and noisy part of promenade but still offering many shops and other attractions. The actual rate for me is 3.5 stars ! Everything is ok 👌! The food is good the rooms are ok and the staff is helpful! Don't forget that the price is the key for what you get ! We as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids for all inclusive payed very competitive price! And this hotel also provides shuttle to the beach and back every 30 minutes! Overall very good family hotel with solid 3.5 stars !

Fantastic for the kids (sides, pools, animation / kids club, trampolines etc), great beach nearby. However service, cleanliness of the property, food/service was okay. We would not return due to how crowded everything was - difficult to walk through Pool lounges, dinning areas, reception etc. Felt like sardines crammed into a small space most of the time.

Very nice and clean hotel, about 300 m from the beach, good food (the best vegetable cream soup I've had so far!) and diverse. Free access to the hotel's water park, outdoor pool with water slides (also has a shallow area for children), wellness center with hot tub, sauna, heated indoor pool. There is also a very nice outdoor playground and entertainers for children. Very good price-quality ratio!

One of the best and high vfm hotels in the golden sands Varna. 5 minutes to the beach, new rooms, service is very good, all included, various food that suites for anyone, including vegan, clean and safe pools and spa. The hotel was ok for the money. The food was average. It wasn't that far from the beach. I didn't like the parking situation. They charge you 20 leva/day for what? Parking in the street? Also they tried to charge me for 6 days when I only had 5 full days. It didn't work (for them), but I had to argument a lot about it. And for hotel's management, if you're reading this... I don't know why you're not...

I must edit My review beacause hotel really tried to fix something for us when asked politely. All is good for vegetarians but not for vegans. When asked vegan hotel politely bring us a vegan Milk straight to us and we even found a soymilk on breakfast today morning, Wow!. Well done. Thankyou alot!

An OK physical location but outclassed in every way by the staff - The reception staff know almost nothing, especially about the facilities, don't know details or information about the aqua park or even where the night bar is located 5 meters away from them, in the basement. - The sun loungers on the beach don't have enough mattresses and the staff gets irritated when you ask questions and requests...

Bellow average hotel at Golden Sands. This resort use to be beautiful sea side place in a forest next to the beaches now just hotels next to other hotel extremely noisy and full with drunks

The food tastes good Excellent bar drink ‏Great room view ‏Daily charge of mini bar mineral water Large terrace room ‏Low dessert variety Staff uniforms were not stylish. The staff did not smile. Weak beach bar. No snacks with drinks. Inappropriate delivery hours for towels. No electric kettle in the room.

Very satisfied, especially with the food and views. Recommend. Star down: terrace bar closes at 10 PM and you have to go to the lobby bar, which is, given the nearby sea, far less attractive place. Possible quiet time is not a legitimate excuse as all the clubs nearby blast music well after 2 AM. Massive usage of single-use plastic and paper cups.

Not a 4-star-hotel. I stayed at the hotel in 2021. Great location, spacious rooms with balconies and good wifi. Breakfast is disastrous (we were all very glad we hadn't gotten the all-inclusive package). On a rainy day we went to see the spa, which is 2 working saunas and an indoor-pool. Closing times at 19:00 hs are questionable though. That's it, I hope this helps you decide! ;)

The food was Bland. Sunny Beach was good place to relax. The people in Bulgaria are fine. Food and grocery are expensive! However, Hotel Shipka did not offer any night entertainment or excursions tours. The Shipka hotel was quiet and peaceful. I give Hotel Shipka only 3⭐.

Had a really nice time here .the animation team did a good job with the entertainment they could put on although it was limited compared to other hotels

Food is awful and repetitive but you get what you pay for. This hotel was overcrowded and no room at the poll and long time to wait for food 😞

Very pleasant place to stay @ Golden Sands. Buffet has a lot of different dishes to choose from. Kids are very welcome with special amusement programs by the outside pool - dancing, playing. Wellness center is also a nice option for a physiotherapy or a massage. All in all an excellent place for a holiday.

This place has a lot of good things, but given the price and areas of improvements, only 3 stars. Areas for improvement: - better room cleaning - don't overcook all the meat - some of the driest meat in my life was here - don't overcook all the veggies - animation group needs to be more pushy for sports. They're too lax. - the elevators are the slowest I've used in the last 20 years....

Air-condition works only when you are in the room. Breakfest is served in many tables and there isn't room for everybody... Few of staff only speaks engilsh... Bulgarian people are rude

Very nice place, with swimming pool , clean, personal very friendly and also pet friendly. The food satisfies any test, All food served was fresh, good quality and the range can cover anyone test. Very close with the beach, and closed with main attraction of the place. Real value for money, definitely I will come again next summer. I highly recommend.

The hotel overall is okay like a 3 star hotel but mostly is poorly maintained. Not only the rooms but especially the bathrooms. Very nice, not really 4 stars, but 3+. The pool is nice, execpting the music in the afternoons - manele and very cheap traditional romanian music, very loud, unpleasent for us ... The Sofia Hotel beach was also nice, the food ok, pizza was only with meat, but they have good vegetarian options.

Most of activities of hotel werent even avaliable. Only thing that was avaliable was one table for table tennis. Outside pool closes too soon. Animators and staff of hotel were nice and helpfull. Food was mediocre i dont recommend eating fish.

I only give 3 stars for the front desk who was very friendly and helpful. But 1 star for the open buffet, wich is not that open 😒 i don t want a full plate, to eat like a peasent, but they put food on your plate like they give you from their children food. I m not allowed to take my own food, and the employees don t speak any other language but their own. The bar is closed very early, i can not stay...
