Away from the maddening tourist crowds in Phnom Penh, this hotel offers quiet accommodation surrounded by local people. The rooms are clean and large in size. No pool, but still good value. Be aware that it's on the other side of the Tonle River to many of the tourist sites and other hotels.
week after she left. Lady owner and staff were amazing. Room was spacious and comfy. Balcony is a big plus in the evening, after sunset. This is the type of stay any "real" traveler will appreciate.
Pros:
Staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful with good English. The manager even went out of her way to get me a cake and rose for my girlfriends birthday to have at breakfast!
Rooms are big, modern and comfy.
Bathrooms are very nice.
Breakfast is good.
WiFi signal is very good.
TV has English movie channels.
Cons:
No hot water for the shower. Gets only slightly warm at best.
The BIGGEST problem here are the 5 or 6 roosters and cockerels that are right next door to the hotel rooms! They are so noisy and cry out all night long. We had to change rooms on the first night as they were right outside our window. Every morning at 4am without fail they woke us up and one night it was at 12.30am, 2am, 3.30am and then 4.30AM and that is with ear plugs in. This is not the fault of the hotel at all but still disturbs tour sleep every night.
