YWCA Hotel in Vancouver

Omg. Server laura was amazing. Her boss was a belittling man to this nice server. I spoke my opinion to both and paid my bill without ordering food and over tipped the server laura. Never thought I would witness something so blanant in my life.

I've never done a Google review before... but the service was probably the worst I can recall. I'm not sure why they took our drink orders because only 2 of the 6 people at the table got the water they asked for. Even when the meal was finished (1.5 hours after arriving) I still did not have the water I asked for. I ordered eggs and bacon and fruit for my kids And was brought eggs and hashbrowns and toast, when I reminded them of the order they said just keep the toast and hashbrowns but my kids can't eat potatoes and bread. The meal I ordered was quite cold and again... I never got the water I asked for after reminding them again. .. they weren't even busy. 20 minutes later she brought back eggs and a huge helping of hashbrowns for my kids. When I told her that's not what I ordered she claimed I told her my kids had a gluten allergy. I repeated 3 more times please bring eggs bacon and fruit. She asked about allergies and I just repeated eggs bacon and fruit and nothing else. She got flustered and walked away. It was quite ridiculous and it was a Sunday morning and they weren't even busy.

The food is okay, however nothing to rave about. I had the salmon with ancient grains (whatever that means...) the salmon was lovely but I didn't enjoy the greens, they were gluggy and flavourless. The waiter also bought three extra drinks to the table when people weren't even half way through their previous.... without asking if they would like another. Assuming someone wants another drink is pretty rude if you ask me, probably just trying to increase the bill.

Order a $50 bottle of wine and receive horrible service, incorrect pouring of wine to ruin the taste, no sample taste before pouring and pieces of cork in your glass. Lovely.
