The staff at Hotel Wello were incredibly friendly and helpful. Its central location is fantastic, with plenty of great food options nearby. Within a 10-minute walk, you can find pho and McDonald's. It's also a short walk to the library. In the evening, Chinatown and the Gas Clock are about a 20-minute walk away. What's more, some staff members speak Cantonese and gave me excellent recommendations for local eateries. The hotel is also very close to the stadium, which is worth visiting if you have time. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again; the rooms are comfortable and spacious.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Willo (which was renamed from YWCA Hotel after we booked). Nice they offered free coffee and tea in the morning. We arrived early in the morning and were able to leave our luggage in the storage room, before we went discovering the city. It seems like they have just renovated and also exchanged the bath amenities to new ones while we were there. We booked the room with the shared bathroom, which also connects to another room. You can lock the bathroom from both sides, so this worked well for us. We were looking for the best price-quality ratio of a hotel that is centrally located and it really is. We arrived using the airport train and walked to the hotel. The Vancouver Stadium is just across the street so very convenient for the people looking for accommodation for the World Cup. In fact we could also see the stadium from our hotel room. Highly recommend this place!

We came here for a few days to see the city and I’m grateful I chose this hotel.

Overall lovely staff, nice petite rooms. You have a kitchen outside of your room that everyone can use and you can cook full meals and not have to send money on take out if you don’t want to! I love that personally!

Very nice staff at reception. Rooms have been recently refurbished and are very comfortable. Every floor has its own eating room as it is a former YWCA. Very close to both BC Place and Rogers Arena and downtown

Nice hotel with a good price/value ratio. There is free coffee but no breakfast. Some rooms have their own bathroom some are shared. It’s a good concept.

This hotel is basically a poor imitation of an Ibis hotel, yet it charges an unreasonable price!

The rooms don’t even have tissues!!!!

When I booked the hotel, I realized it had a shared bathroom. I tried to cancel, but the hotel refused. Instead, they upgraded me to a private bathroom only after charging an extra $300!!!

The hotel has no proper security. While we were staying there, a homeless person came up to the second floor holding a lighter, which terrified my wife. The hotel alarm went off and the fire department had to come!!

The person responsible for cleaning the room didn’t restock the coffee for two days until I directly reminded them. When I mentioned it to the reception, they didn’t seem to care.

At one point, the cleaner even left their cleaning cloth in the room.

A cosy room with comfortable beds. The well equipped kitchen is definitely a bonus. Eating breakfast quietly next to the bc place, a city landmark is awesome.

Rooms and hotel very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Has good security. Had a problem getting in the front door as when the reception buzzed me in the door didn't open. This happened several times and she yelled at me insinuating it was my fault. Not very welcoming considering I had been traveling for over 30 hours at this point and I just needed a bed.
I would come again, but hopefully this staff member changes her attitude.

Omg. Server laura was amazing. Her boss was a belittling man to this nice server. I spoke my opinion to both and paid my bill without ordering food and over tipped the server laura. Never thought I would witness something so blanant in my life.

What a great spot. There are two sides to the place, one has live music, the other is more quite. The food is fantastic. I had Lasagna and it was delicious. We had tiramisu for desert and everything in it was made fresh and you could taste the difference. The ice cream is made fresh and is probably the most flavorful I have ever had. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be coming back.

Great music and good food. The service was friendly, but the staff need to find the balance between getting the job done and adhering to the quiet policy during the performance.

The good: prompt and accommodating service. Food is fresh. Very modern look and feel to the restaurant.

The not so good: restaurant can get very loud when busy, making it difficult to hear servers and others in your party. Servers are prompt, but not necessarily friendly.

The bottom line: fine Italian dining option, though a little pricier.

Went there at 430 pm on a Thursday and there was wry good live Jazz. I'm not a jazz person, but was pleasantly surprised especially hearing it so early in the day. Sat at the bar and got good service. Food was decent (happy hour menu) and the price was right. The portions were quite small, but you get what you pay for. A good jazz bar.

I've never done a Google review before... but the service was probably the worst I can recall. I'm not sure why they took our drink orders because only 2 of the 6 people at the table got the water they asked for. Even when the meal was finished (1.5 hours after arriving) I still did not have the water I asked for. I ordered eggs and bacon and fruit for my kids And was brought eggs and hashbrowns and toast, when I reminded them of the order they said just keep the toast and hashbrowns but my kids can't eat potatoes and bread. The meal I ordered was quite cold and again... I never got the water I asked for after reminding them again. .. they weren't even busy. 20 minutes later she brought back eggs and a huge helping of hashbrowns for my kids. When I told her that's not what I ordered she claimed I told her my kids had a gluten allergy. I repeated 3 more times please bring eggs bacon and fruit. She asked about allergies and I just repeated eggs bacon and fruit and nothing else. She got flustered and walked away. It was quite ridiculous and it was a Sunday morning and they weren't even busy.

Celebrated my birthday at this location last night with my friends and we had such a great time; The staff is awesome! Our server Rori was literally the best. He was professional, funny, and quick. Didn't catch the other 2 servers names but they were also super friendly and professional! We will definitely be coming back very soon. Thank you for the service!

The food is okay, however nothing to rave about. I had the salmon with ancient grains (whatever that means...) the salmon was lovely but I didn't enjoy the greens, they were gluggy and flavourless. The waiter also bought three extra drinks to the table when people weren't even half way through their previous.... without asking if they would like another. Assuming someone wants another drink is pretty rude if you ask me, probably just trying to increase the bill.

Order a $50 bottle of wine and receive horrible service, incorrect pouring of wine to ruin the taste, no sample taste before pouring and pieces of cork in your glass. Lovely.

Had my first visit to Moxie's and I must say I was very happy with it. We arrived at approx 7.15pm on Saturday night. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were playing in Rogers Arena so we were expecting it to be busy. We were seated within 5-7 minutes and it was easy to see that all staff were so busy. We were shown to our table upstairs and it was a few minutes before one of the staff came over to take our drink order. The main reason why we came here was because of their Gluten Concious Menu offerings. My girlfriend said that it is one of the best menu selections she has experienced. I ordered the steak sandwich and my girlfriend the loaded burger( both were extremely tasty). So we did have to wait a little longer than usual for this as it was so busy but that was no issue for us. The manager did take care of our drinks for us as a form of compensation for the wait. This was really appreciated but we could see how busy it was so the long wait was not unexpected. Our server, Mary, was fantastic and she is a great asset to your company. We will be back, keep up the good work.
