I had a ton of fun here. The staff were great, the building was cool, they have a nice bar/restaurant, and it's close to the beach and Stanley Park.

I stayed in two different rooms during my stay. I think the first was two kings or two queens - it was spacious and on the top floor. The second was the petite queen...which was understandably small. Both had tubs though, which are sadly disappearing from a lot of hotels these days. The only thing I was missing was a cooler in the petite queen; not a big deal.

This old school hotel was a great fit for our family. The rooms were clean and decently large. I would say that the rooms are in need of a refresh, but they were not bad by any means. The onsite restaurant and lounge were excellent. Good food at decent prices, and wonderful live music in the evenings. Staff were friendly and helpful, and parking was plentiful. I think my favorite thing about this hotel was just how quiet it was. The area is such a nice walkable area, and the beach is right there across the street. I will definitely book this hotel again next time we go to Vancouver

Excellent location. Cross the street and it starts the trail to the seawall. Rooms were comfortable. Hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and a short walk to down town.
I also encountered many dogs staying at the hotel and they don’t charge you for your dog staying there.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful. The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Would stay again!

Rooms were pretty nice with the kitchen equipped with fridge and cupboards.
Beds and bedding weren't great.
Overall building is old but charming but I would've preferred some modern upgrade to rooms.
Nice bathroom with scratchy towels.
I could probably find a better tv for free on marketplace, but I'm glad I could take the HDMI out of the cable box and plug it into my laptop otherwise we'd just be watching Shaw on demand free channels.
Food was fine, bar was good.
Some rooms have gorgeous framed photos of the area from decades ago, ours had some Ikea wall art.
Customer service was nice, I appreciated the employees here, especially for loading in and out since we had so much stuff for Christmas gifts in and out.
Overall vibe was old but cozy, despite my nitpicking I did feel like this was a nice place to spend the holidays. New beds and tvs (and more Irish whiskeys) would make this pretty top tier.

Lovely experience from check in to check out. We checked in early and our room was ready for us, and also had been upgraded. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant twice, the food and service were great. The location on English bay beach is very convenient, and it was interesting to learn about the building’s history. The room was a little chilly in late November, but it is an old building and is to be expected. Will definitely stay here again!

Best place by far in the city to celebrate my childhood bestie’s 65th birthday lunch. Hostess Miriam worked her magic to accommodate my early arrival in the lounge (traffic was surprisingly light) and I truly appreciated her professionalism (checking with her colleagues first) and her eagerness to set the tone for a wonderful special occasion (setting up my two flower arrangements on our table and window sill.)

Our server was Adello, and my gosh he made us feel like royalty, with double dashes of warmth and personal attention. Adello’s genuine love of being customer focused was top notch, and he has a great sense of humour!

The Sylvia Hotel offers nostalgic charm, an extensive menu for all taste buds, and staff that go way above and beyond in ensuring their guests feel appreciated. Thank you so much for surpassing our expectations. The Sylvia Hotel will always be dear to our hearts.

We passed by this hotel hundreds times and we finally spent 2 nights celebrating our 45th anniversary there.the service was excellent,lots of cool characters everywhere inside and you got the real key to your room.The parking garage was well lit and safe.we will go back again this summer 👍❤️❤️❤️👍

I love there chai tea late lightly sweetened. Good for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They have a nice assortment of scones, muffins, brownies, bars, sandwiches, and wraps.

Gets crowded, but with good reason, it has a great environment and seating areas.

This place has nice wood decor and a relaxed atmosphere. They keep background music low enough for relaxed conversation. The staff are friendly. The only disappointment is the tea: just prepared teabags rather than looseleaf (tea equivalent of instant coffee), and served in coffee mugs rather than pots and cup+saucer.

Great place to order food. Love my Fatburger and it's been a while since I saw one on person and also order for one. This place brought those memories. Just forgot to add the egg on top of my burger and grab their great shakes. If I had gotten both of those, this visit would be sweet!

Amazing restaurant. I visit here every week and the staff are just fantastic and always get me what I want quickly, and never with mistakes. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and service here at this Fatburger location.

Best chicken tenders I think I ever had. Burgers were good and so was the breakfast. Took my elderly parents and it was great because like most places in downtown Vancouver it is hard to park. They had a parking lot.

I've always been a fan of alberta beef. I am from Alberta sure I know what's the real AAA Alberta beef taste! You will be amazed by the food quality and skilled stuff as soon as you had the first bite of the meal! I had a wonderful time at there, ordered a double king burger. Absolutely a top notch burger also very friendly staff! This is not a cheap burger that you pay $6 at other places. You pay for what you get. Defiantly I will come back! Big thumbs up for Fatburger Denman! Good job!!!

I have a bad memory of this place,,, I was given a gift card for X Mas several years ago only to find out after it had no value.. I do think the person that gave it to me was honest in buying it but somehow it never got programmed. Will never go in again.

This is a nice seafood restaurant next to English Bay Beach. The menu has what you would expect, plus great small plates. We were not rushed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The beer was tasty.as well!

Coconut Cod, yup no coconut for sure i had to ask for some sauce just to finish it, some of the other guest as well did not like what they had ordered. Will never take anyone again to this place for sure. But our Server was very pleasant that was a 5*

Very nice view overlooking English Bay especially in the evening when the sun is setting. Food is at best average. However, you can buy a discounted gift certificate at Costco and the restaurant have decent meal promotion.

Cute place to have casual eats. Service was incredibly friendly. Food was well prepared and tasty. Mac and cheese is filling and you get what you paid for. Soup + salad was tasty but a little over priced. Homemade lemonade is a must try. Would recommend
