Reviews
I would especially like to thank Rosie Nguyen, the manager, and Archaf, the lobby restaurant manager, for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism. They were incredibly kind and accommodating in helping us celebrate a birthday in the lobby area, and thanks to their support, the evening turned into a truly memorable and special celebration.
Their thoughtful management, warm attitude, and willingness to go above and beyond for guests made a big difference in our experience. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care and professionalism in hospitality.
Thank you again to Rosie, Archaf, and the entire team for making our celebration so special. We truly appreciate it and look forward to visiting again.
Naval truly embodies the definition of hospitality. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable. Although our room was not ready at check-in, he promptly informed us of the delay and immediately took thoughtful action to ensure our comfort. He expedited bathrobes for each member of my family so we could enjoy time at the pool without being cold, which we greatly appreciated.
He also secured reservations at the Lobby Lounge at our preferred time, and when our room was ready, we were delighted to find chocolate treats waiting for us. It is these small, thoughtful touches that make every Fairmont stay so memorable.
The food in the Gold Lounge is always a highlight of our visits. Having experienced many Fairmont Gold lounges across North America, the Fairmont Pacific Rim remains our all-time favourite. Naval and the entire Gold Team were consistently attentive and genuinely caring toward every guest. It was clear they take pride in delivering an exceptional experience.
This level of service is exactly why we continue to choose Fairmont for our stays.
Thank you again to Naval and the entire Gold Team for making our Family Day celebration so special.
Warm regards,
Michelle Basra & Family.
However, this stay fell a bit short due to the Spa being under construction. This was not communicated to me at the time our services were booked, nor in the confirmation emails for our treatments. Additionally, the staff called to offer us a couples treatment room which we accepted & still they neglected to mention that the Spa facilities were closed.
They converted the 6th floor & with the Family oriented hotel Pool & Hot Tub to serve double duty for spa guests. The changing rooms were very small…crowded by attendants & spa guests. Additionally, there were no preferred hours for Spa guests so the Hot Tub was filled with other guests including a large number of small children. This was not relaxing or romantic.
We did truly enjoy or massages & the therapists were excellent. However, it is hard to justify the cost without the normal spa amenities which would have allowed us to have the spa day we had hoped for.
I am hopeful that the Fairmont will do better in future with proactive communication as setting expectations would have gone a long way. We still loved our stay overall & are hopeful to see the service standards improve for future visits.
I had the chance to visit the newly renovated Gold Floor, and I was completely speechless. The design, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere are simply breathtaking.
This has been my favorite hotel for years, and that will never change. Once again, the concierge team went above and beyond to make my experience truly special.
We also spent time at the lounge, enjoying the live music, delicious sushi, and hands down the best espresso martini in town.
The room was as beautiful and comfortable as always, and I have to mention how much I love their in room products. the shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are my favorite brand, which honestly makes the stay feel even more like home.
An unforgettable experience, every single time. Highly recommended..

I had their "Big Breakfast", which gets you scrambled eggs, toast, roasted potatoes, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. All of this for $15. I got the sausage, and everything was simply alright. I wasn't blown away by anything - it struck me as a similar quality to Denny's, where I would have got more food for less money.
My girlfriend had the classic Eggs Benedict, which is supposedly one of their signature dishes. It was initially cooked too much and had to be sent back. Upon the second attempt, the hollandaise had a strange, almost sour tang to it. While it was tasty, how anyone could say that was the "best eggs Benedict in Vancouver" is beyond me.
The service was fairly prompt, and the host was very friendly, but overall, I cant say I was too impressed, and I don't see myself going back.
