Hôtel Le Voyageur de Québec in Quebec City

This place gets 2 stars for a reason here’s why. i stayed here for maybe 5 days and each day got worse. i’ll start with my pros than my cons. pros were its in a good area. front desk was friendly. indoor pool. breakfast. the cons though are: when you first walk into ur room it kinda smells like sweat and there is no real light just lamps. second of all the shampoo had to be the worst thing i’ve ever put on my hair it is genuinely so awful it made my hair all dry and not able to brush. than the breakfast is literally just boiled eggs muffins fruit and juice nothing good nothing enjoyable at least. than the pool the showers were so cold and the pool had so much chlorine that damaged my hair even more. the walls? you can hear everything that’s happening in your neighbors room. not sound proof at all. the cleaners only give u more towels and shampoo they don’t even clean the sheets unless u stay more than 3 days. this was a normal stay could’ve been better.

First thing i noticed as a customer when you enter to their lobby/reception is their floor, its not really welcoming. 2nd, stairs since its only 2 floor building maybe thats why it doesnt have elevator and for us was fine, i am not really sure about the other customers with few bags and luggages. 3rd, is their carpet on the hallway you can totally see its really old and filthy. And 4th, when we open the door of the room it was smell like feet😪 (we didnt even took our shoes off) thats why we opened the window. You can differentiate the smell of real clean room to not really clean one. The sink smells like i didnt know if it was the water or the sink itself. and the bathroom smells like "sweaty clothes" that got dried. 5th, the bed sheet was not inserted properly. it was like they just put it on then covered with brown comforter. And yeah the AC was not working it was like making noise. And you can totally hear your neighbor next door if they having fight or even normal convo. And About the breakfast i didnt really care about the cold boiled eggs coz i love egg. It was just like very few options.

So its a "NO again" for us especially we have small children.
If you can find another hotel or place to stay for nights $50-70 more expensive grab it, it would be more worthy!
