Four Points by Sheraton Santiago in Santiago

What a disappointment this hotel is. Service was very poorly: I came to them with a small issue and they tried nothing to help me, the roomservice had almost nothing that they had on the roomservice menu and for the ordering of roomservice I did have to go downstairs to the restaurant to order because the phone would not work. My room was very old and mouldy in the bathroom. I highly recommend finding another hotel.

Hesitating between 1 and 2 stars. Four nights stay in early December. We received a polite email a couple of nights before, promoting the hotel services and offering us support as Gold members. We replied asking about transportation options since we have not been in Santiago for a while, and we never got a response.
We arrived 10:30 pm to the hotel and were given a room. No bath towels, no water, empty packages of an early passenger. Clearly the room was not ready. We were moved to a different room that had electrical issues, as the bedside plug short circuited most of the room every time a phone charger was plugged. This was not fixed during our stay, by the third day we received a letter stating that the problem was with the charger. Weird as the charger worked in other plugs of the room, plus many other hotels and our house plugs.
The front desk manager introduced herself to apologize for our problems and offered a late check out that we did not need (and were entitled to anyway as gold members). During the rest of our stay we enjoyed a quite nice location, close to attractions, malls and restaurants. The room was adequate but with some wear and tear. Breakfast is bland in our view. Service overall uneven, with some great employees and others going trough the motions. Plenty of advertising around the hotel about the Bonvoy program but 0 recognition as a member. Will pass next time.
