1️⃣ The hardware facilities in the room, such as the bed and TV, were acceptable. However, the bathroom's shower stall was very old, and the drainage system was poorly designed. The shower floor had no slope, so every time I showered, my feet would be submerged in water, and it took a long time for the water to drain. There wasn't a high enough barrier between the shower and the toilet area, so because of the poor drainage, water would overflow from the shower, soaking the entire bathroom. What's the point of a wet/dry separation then? With the whole bathroom covered in water, guests are prone to slipping. This forced us to fold and place a large towel at the shower entrance every time we showered to prevent water from spilling out.

2️⃣ The front desk had significant issues with order inquiries and internal communication. During check-in, it took a long time to look up my reservation on their computer. They kept saying they couldn't find the booking. I'm not sure if it's because I booked through Trip.com rather than their system's 'Ctrip,' but external bookings always take a long time to locate.

During check-in, I saw packages for other guests on a nearby table. I asked a male front desk attendant if they could accept a package for me, and he said 'yes,' indicating I just needed to write 'front desk' for delivery. The very next morning, the package arrived, and the courier called me to say the front desk wouldn't accept it. I went down to inquire, and a female front desk attendant said they don't accept packages. I asked why the male attendant yesterday told me they could. She then explained that normally they don't accept packages, but recently, due to many concerts, they make an exception for out-of-town guests, but you must leave your room number information at the front desk beforehand. The male attendant yesterday didn't mention needing to leave any information at all! The internal communication at the front desk was a complete mess.

I booked this hotel specifically because of its proximity to the concert venue. Aside from being close to the concert venue, there's really nothing else particularly recommendable about this hotel.

I came to see Ayumi Hamasaki's concert, and it was just over a kilometer's walk from the subway station, which is perfectly acceptable for someone like me who enjoys walking. It's only a 1-3 minute walk from the hotel to the Wukesong Arena entrance, so the location is excellent. There's also Jubao Yuan downstairs, making dining and shopping very convenient. The staff at the front desk even gave me an Ayumi Hamasaki poster, and the cleaning ladies were also very friendly and welcoming. The only minor things I found a bit inconvenient were the handheld showerhead and that I wished the toiletries were a bit more upscale. Breakfast was relatively simple, but the steamed pumpkin was delicious.

Facilities: The room facilities are good, but the space is a bit small and there's no place to sit.
Hygiene: Very clean, the room is new.
Service: The service was great, they even gave us a complimentary breakfast.
Environment: It's very close to Wukesong Arena (Huaxi Live) and also very quiet.

I got an upgrade, so the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also good. It's a 3-minute ride on a Mobike to the subway station, and about 3 minutes to the Huaxi commercial area. The sesame flatbread and yogurt downstairs are delicious!

The service was great! We got an upgrade to a new room, which was really nice. We were in town for a concert, and the hotel is super close to the venue, plus the Huaxi commercial area is very convenient. They even gave us an exclusive concert gift, which made us really happy!

I chose the closest Mercure Hotel for a concert. It's just a few minutes' walk to Wukesong Arena (Huaxi Live). The hotel even gave me a Liu Yuxin poster and hand banner! It's also about a 10-15 minute walk to Wanda Plaza. The location is excellent, not far from the subway station. The service was very warm and welcoming. Definitely my top choice for concert stays.

The room was quite spacious, but the lighting was very dim. The hotel seems to have a courtyard-style design. I had to switch rooms twice due to facility issues. All three rooms had windows facing other rooms, which compromised privacy. If you fully close the curtains, the room becomes incredibly dark. The hairdryer didn't match the price point of the hotel. However, the front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent; they promptly addressed and resolved any issues.

Mercure Beijing Wukesong is conveniently located near Wukesong Arena (Huaxi Live), making it easy to attend concerts. The room was clean and comfortable, with modern facilities, and the service was warm and attentive. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was great value for money. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience and will definitely choose to stay here again!

Pros:
1. The room was spacious, and the upgraded room type made for a more comfortable stay. A big thank you to the front desk staff for the thoughtful arrangement.
2. The location is very convenient, especially for attending concerts – it's really close!

Areas for improvement:
1. The facilities are a bit old, and some furniture and appliances show signs of wear. I'd suggest considering a gradual renovation.
2. The breakfast selection is somewhat limited. It would be ideal if they could add some local specialties or more diverse options.

Overall: The value for money is reasonable, making it suitable for travelers who aren't too particular about their accommodations. A facility upgrade would significantly enhance the experience.
