Beijing Continental Grand Hotel, Beijing1 / 24
9.2
Beijing, No.8 Beichen Dong Road (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is very close to the Bird's Nest, which was convenient for attending a concert. It's an older four-star hotel, but very clean. However, they don't offer latex or buckwheat pillows. Also, the tissues provided are the small, restaurant-style kind; I'd suggest upgrading to larger, thicker tissues.
For an executive room, it wasn't very spacious. Executive rooms come with complimentary minibar drinks, an afternoon tea (which I didn't try), and a happy hour (dinner) which was a simple Western meal. The hotel is quite close to the Bird's Nest, about an 800-meter walk. Takeout can be placed on a small table for deliveries or sent up by a robot, which is very convenient. It's quite far from the...
Super convenient for concerts, definitely my top choice for the Bird's Nest area. The hotel offers great privacy, is quiet and elegant, perfect for both relaxing and working. Dora at the front desk was attentive and responsible, with a gentle and kind attitude. She responded to every request, which made me feel very secure.
Very satisfied with my stay for the concert. The hotel is great in every aspect. Minnie's service was warm, thoughtful, and efficient. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time.
I specifically booked this hotel for a concert, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Minnie at the front desk! She totally understood our needs as concert-goers and thoughtfully arranged a quiet room for us that was also convenient for getting around. She even kindly reminded us about return transportation and late-night food spots nearby. Her attitude was super friendly, and she was enthusiastic...
Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean, and Minnie provided excellent service. She was very attentive, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely at ease.

The facilities are quite old. The air conditioning was ineffective, even after running it all night, the room temperature stayed around 27 degrees Celsius, leaving me covered in sweat. Maintenance came to fix it but it didn't improve. On the last day, I couldn't stand it anymore and switched rooms. The AC in the new room was better, but the bathtub had several cracked areas with rings of black grime...
Clean and comfortable, with excellent service, a pleasant environment, and complete facilities.
The service at this hotel is exceptional; they always try their best to accommodate any request. The room was also very quiet, and the breakfast was decent. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.
The location is great, just a few hundred meters from several subway stations. There's a large market nearby, which is very convenient for buying food. The room is quite spacious, and both the cleanliness and service are excellent! The value for money, in particular, is amazing – 699 for two nights during the Qingming Festival is an absolute steal! The facilities are a bit old, but at this price point...
Great hotel. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were thoughtfully appointed, offering excellent service overall. You can tell it's an older hotel that's been renovated, as some of the fixtures are still original. The power outlets by the bed are surface-mounted additions, and there's no master control switch in the room. Despite these minor points, it's still a very good hotel
My stay here was a truly pleasant surprise! The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful; they spontaneously upgraded me to an executive suite for free. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. They also provided courtesy vouchers, and the coffee and fruit arrangements were perfect. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my stay. The value for money is exceptional, and I'll definitely...

Holiday Inn Express BEIJING TEMPLE OF HEAVEN by IHG, Beijing1 / 24

Holiday Inn Express is my go-to hotel chain. While it might not be as trendy as some other brands, it's consistently reliable and always provides a comfortable stay. The front desk staff's service quality is also noticeably better than many other brands. It will definitely remain my top choice for future trips.
The location is great, close to the Temple of Heaven Park. You can walk to both the Temple of Heaven and the subway station, as well as Deyun Club. The room facilities are a bit old and could use an upgrade. The surrounding area is very quiet, typical of an old Beijing residential neighborhood. A big plus is how they assign rooms: groups are placed on lower floors, while individual travelers get higher...
The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of both the Temple of Heaven and the Ancient Architecture Museum (Xiannongtan Temple). The room was larger than I expected, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options – definitely enough to fill you up and start your day right. Best of all, the hotel didn't significantly raise its prices during the May Day holiday, which was...
During the May Day holiday, the price was quite good value for money compared to other hotels. The hotel has a great location, about a 10-minute walk from the subway, and it's right next to the Temple of Heaven Park and Taoranting Park. We received complimentary fruit upon check-in, and any issues we had during our stay were resolved very promptly. Both the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties...
The environment is great. Facilities: European style, very close to Qianmen Street and Temple of Heaven Park. Service: Very attentive, the front desk staff are highly professional, speak fluent foreign languages, and there are many international guests at the hotel.

The facilities are really dated, and there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which is a major drawback. The staff were very warm and helpful though, and they tried to accommodate us by offering several room changes. Unfortunately, we kept running into issues, either with noisy air conditioning or problems with the bathroom. Honestly, I wouldn't have stayed here if my relatives didn't live so close by.
i booked multi level room, my daughter loved the stair in the room
Swimming pool has been closed for many months. Hotel is generally in a very tired state with no updates to rooms for many years (as evidenced by small flat screen televisions).
The location is very close to metro and bus stations. However, the hotel is very old without proper maintenance. The TV is more than 30 years old (240p might be). The carpet is very dirty. The air conditioner is not working well. specifically in the winter, the room is really cold. But when you asked, they will provide you with an electric heater. The service is very friendly and well.
Easy to find Decent facility Gym and swimming pool NOT opened due to maintenance.

The room was very clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety.
It was a very nice stay. The room is very clean and big. The breakfast is very nice, fresh and many options. Only one thing is the location is a little far from metro but it is right at winter olympic park area.

You can see Donghuamen right from the hotel entrance, and it couldn't be more convenient for visiting the Forbidden City. It's just across the street from Wangfujing Century, which is a hub for Beijing's historical costume makeup and photo shoots. Most online booked travel photoshoots start with makeup here, haha. I walked to the National Museum and the Forbidden City, and diagonally opposite there...
If you're planning to visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, I highly recommend this hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic; it's just a few hundred meters walk to the Forbidden City and a little over a kilometer to the Square. The rooms are well-maintained and don't feel old or dated. Highly recommended!
Arrived at the hotel around 7 AM, and they still managed to get a room ready for me quickly. This time, I even got upgraded to the heritage building, which is always a pleasant surprise! Even though I only caught a glimpse of the 'Century Morning Glow' in Beijing 2026, it still made me feel very happy. And although the breakfast price has gone up, they still offer all my favorite items.
Facilities: Comprehensive Hygiene: Clean Environment: Beautiful Excellent location There's a hotpot restaurant right downstairs.
This hotel is steeped in history. The building itself is like a small exhibition hall, showcasing its past stories. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of space. The shower and toilet were separate, which was a nice touch. It had a window for ventilation and a great view too.
Booked into a Business Room at the Laurel Hotel. I did see a few other types of accommodation but these situated on the top floors are modern, clean and well equiped and should be your preferred option. The Hotel is a few hundred yards from the local Subway giving you access across the city as well as a large Supermarket and numerous restaurants. Staff were great on the front desk and a mention also...
Pros: Great location right by the subway, with plenty of shopping and dining options downstairs. The staff were also quite friendly. Cons: The facilities are a bit old, and there's a serious lack of storage space. Also, when the water dispenser ran out of cups, no one seemed to bother replenishing them. For a four-star hotel, serving cheap Ice Dew bottled water feels a bit low-class. On a personal...
The navigation led us right to the hotel entrance, and there were plenty of parking spaces. We had a lot of luggage, so Manager Xu kindly helped us with our cards to get to our room upstairs. The service was excellent and very warm! We'll definitely be staying here again.

It's definitely an old hotel. The room was tiny, and it even had an old-fashioned fridge and washing machine. We got back late, and the front desk staff called again to arrange a late check-out for us, which we really appreciate.
For a room that cost over 400, there were no toiletries (only a tiny bar of soap), the air conditioning was incredibly noisy, and even weirder, there was no light switch by the bed! I had to get up before sleeping to turn off the light by the bathroom door (never seen that before). It's ridiculous; if it weren't such a hassle to move my luggage, I wouldn't have stayed even one night.
The park that is directly next to the hotel has the best views of the Forbidden City. Hotel Terrace also has amazing views. S

Great service, spacious and clean rooms, and a nice window view. The hotel also has a rich history and culture.

I always stay at the Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel when I'm back at school. They even upgraded my room! It's been open for many years, and the service is consistently excellent. Mainly Chinese here, so if uninterested in mixing with locals & trying out your Mandarin. Then go to a Hyatt hotel or elsewhere. Personally I loved it, I’ve stayed several times. An easy walk from Tianamen Square East station. Once again I love this...
Very good location! I needed a room quickly and was not looking to pay a lot. Pictures show very nice rooms. I got a room with no windows. But for the price and location, it's not bad. Room is clean and staff was pleasant. Can't expect much for $70 canadian and this location. So overall it's okay. I'm sure other rooms are great. But obviously will pay more. So just for location alone I'd say try it...
The location of the TianAn Regards is excellent. Between Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square, it is walking distance from most sites in Beijing. Rooms vary greatly in size. We have stayed twice: once in October and once in May. This has lead us to the conclusion that the rooms do not have functioning heating and cooling, despite controls on the wall. Weather was quite nice in May, with highs in the upper...
So much fun we ate on the rooftop terrace where we stayed for late night drinks. The food was so satisfying and beautifully prepared. Staff bent over backwards for us. The best long island ice tea ever had!!
Very average room, got a way smaller room than in pictures, dark and dingy lighting in the bathroom, reception didn’t speak much English which made it hard for international visitors, room had all your toiletries though, toothbrush, shampoo, combs and shower caps, breakfast was very odd and people always loud in the hallways on their phones or just chatting.
A nice quaint clean hotel. The bed was hard and the thermostat didn't work. But truthfully, it was a wonderful place to stay and I would stay again.
