Shangri-La Beijing, Beijing1 / 30
9.2
Beijing, 29 Zizhuyuan Road (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This is an old-school five-star hotel with a distinct regal charm. While the style might feel a bit dated, it exudes a sense of grandeur everywhere you look! The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, and the service is excellent. Plus, there's a charming, antiquated courtyard.
When I'm traveling, if I'm ever unsure, I always go for a Shangri-La executive room, and it never disappoints. Shangri-La truly lives up to its name; the facilities are impeccably maintained, and the attention to detail is something you have to see for yourself. We checked in directly at the lounge, where Front Desk staffer Yuan Xiaofan was incredibly welcoming and arranged for an extra bed since we...
The hotel service, as always, was professional and meticulous. The staff were patient, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Even before check-in, the hotel departments noticed from the booking that there would be children staying, so they decorated the room in a child-friendly way early on, with all sorts of children's amenities readily available, and even bananas among the welcome fruit, which kids love...
The location is great, not far from both bus and subway stations. The hotel itself is very grand, with various sections, and it's a popular choice for many old Beijingers to host wedding banquets. As a long-standing hotel, it boasts an entire back garden, along with options like a Michelin restaurant, a garden bar, and a lobby lounge.
The room was very clean and tidy. Anais provided excellent and enthusiastic service, helping with license plate registration and extending our stay. The executive lounge was as good as ever. I'll definitely be back next time.
The hotel is a bit old and some rooms show their age, but the new wing is much newer. They gave a small gift to my child upon arrival, which was a nice touch. We booked a family room in the new wing, and the complimentary lounge access was a great perk. It was perfect for our little one who eats small meals frequently, as we could grab sandwiches anytime so they wouldn't go hungry. Overall, we had...

Beijing, No. 1 West Chongwenmen Street, Dongcheng District (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The environment: This time I booked an inner-facing room. The window overlooked the ground floor restaurant, so I couldn't open it, and there was an odor in the room. The room was also smaller than before. Facilities: Complete, and there was an air freshener in the room. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Service: Warm and attentive.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I love it just as much as the first! The room is a bit small, but it's very clean! The service is also excellent! Most importantly, the location is fantastic – close to Tiananmen Square, and the subway station is right outside, making getting around incredibly convenient!
Whenever my family visits Beijing, we almost always choose the Xinqiao Hotel. It's right next to the subway entrance, which makes getting around super convenient. It's also very close to Tongren Hospital, just a three-minute walk away. The hotel itself is quite clean too.
Hygiene: The hygiene is excellent; the room was cleaned punctually every day, and amenities were refreshed daily during my stay. Environment: The hotel's environment is also good, and the transportation is very convenient. The subway entrance is right outside the hotel lobby, making it super easy to get around. It's very convenient to get to Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing, and even walkable. Service...
My friend and I stayed here for one night, and this was my second time returning to this hotel. The room was large, clean, and had a stunning view of the city. The breakfast was wonderful and varied - something for every taste. The location is superb. It's just two metro stops to the Temple of Heaven, or you can walk there in about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. The same distance (around 30 minutes...
The service was great, and they were very responsive to all our requests. The facilities are a bit old, but that's to be expected from an older hotel. The lighting was a bit dim, and there wasn't much they could do about it. However, it's really convenient to get around by subway and bus.

Although it's an old house from 1950, it's been maintained remarkably well, and the complete lack of any unpleasant odors is a big plus! However, as an old building, there's no elevator, which can be inconvenient for those with a lot of luggage. Make sure to arrange beforehand for someone to wait downstairs and help you with your bags. Also, a big thank you to Sister Jia Shulan for the complimentary...
The hotel was conveniently located, well maintained, and my room was very clean. I had requested an air purifier beforehand, and it was promptly set up for me.
Great location, and the room was decent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. However, it's quite expensive. Parking isn't free for guests; it's 8 yuan an hour, and I heard it's 60 yuan for a full day. The mattress was a bit too firm. There's really nothing around the hotel. The hotel's restaurants are super overpriced – 98 for caramelized meatballs, 118 for lamb, and the portions are small...
The room was spacious and bright with a nice view. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very patient during check-in. The hotel has a good location, and this is already my third stay, so I booked it without hesitation this time. 🤝
This hotel's location is perfect for those traveling to Beijing with elderly family members and children. Downstairs, you'll find attractions like the Paleozoological Museum of China (which is open to the public), the main entrance of the Beijing Zoo, the Beijing Planetarium, Old Moscow Restaurant, and the Beijing Exhibition Center. The hotel's breakfast is served in a sky restaurant, and the windows...
The room was beautiful and very clean, and the facilities were excellent. The location was also great, and the customer service was super friendly. I slept very quietly at night. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

I frequently stay at this hotel for business trips! The front desk service is consistently excellent 👍 Katherine is always incredibly helpful and enthusiastic! The entire team is wonderful, and I'm sure I'll keep choosing this place.
My experience on this trip was half satisfying, half extremely disappointing. Let's break it down as the platform settings suggest. **Facilities:** Very old and outdated, not at all up to the basic Marriott standard I've experienced elsewhere. The internet was incredibly slow, and the TV was practically useless (I'll elaborate on my TV experience below). **Environment:** The location is decent, with...
Excellent hotel with great facilities and a prime location. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean. It's surrounded by famous shopping malls, with both local and international brand stores lining the streets. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel facilities are complete, and the hygiene is impeccable. It's super convenient to get around, with SKP just a few minutes' walk downstairs. The service is also exceptionally thoughtful.
The service was exceptional, with staff from the front desk to the restaurant offering warm, smiling service. This really shows why staying at a chain hotel is often a better choice—the service quality is consistently high. The location is also fantastic, right next to two large shopping malls.
The hotel's location is great. I booked it for my boss, and he was very satisfied.

First time staying here, and I found all the staff to be wonderful, especially Nelson at the front desk who was always smiling and happy to answer any questions. The breakfast selection was quite rich too. Although the room wasn't brand new, it was well-maintained. Plus, with the subway and a mall nearby, getting around was super convenient. I'll definitely be back – highly recommend!

Exceeded my expectations overall! The room was very spacious with a well-designed layout that didn't feel cramped at all. Everything was spotlessly clean. Fiona provided quick and helpful service, making my stay feel secure and comfortable. Thumbs up! 👍🏻
The room was too old and felt incredibly small. In Beijing, you really do get what you pay for when it comes to hotels, and this one offered basically no service. The shower pressure was good, but the shower stall itself was tiny.

Here, Anya and Chris graciously helped me unwind from my exhaustion. It's more than just a place to rest; it's like a re-energizing station. They offer a wonderful array of cookies, pastries, light bites, and salads at the Guest Lounge buffet tea break, which includes coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruits, desserts, cookies, and light salads. I have to commend the hotel on the meticulous details! They provide high-quality tea bags and coffee. The shower has excellent water pressure, which is consistent and heats up instantly. These seemingly small details collectively created an extremely comfortable stay, clearly showing Anya and Chris's thoughtfulness and care.
This spacious apartment-style room, at 60 square meters, was incredibly comfortable and fantastic! The service was excellent, and the reception was very welcoming. The location is super convenient, with the subway right outside, making it easy to get anywhere. This is a high-spec hotel, with many international guests. The room was spacious and comfortable, and kept very clean. The facilities were new, and the linens were of good quality. The location is excellent, just a little over a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Square. The service was top-notch; they even helped me find the 'Temple of Heaven' themed cake I really wanted, which was incredibly thoughtful
The hotel environment is great, the location is excellent and convenient for getting around, and the service is spot on. The crystal chandeliers in the lobby were dazzling, making the check-in experience feel truly grand. Amy at the front desk was fluent in both Chinese and English, and handled issues decisively. She made my late check-out request a breeze. During my stay, she even messaged me about changes in the weather, reminding me to dress warmly. A really great hotel, grand and elegant. It's a five-star property with a wide variety of delicious and well-prepared breakfast options, plus lots of different drinks. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I'll definitely book again next time.
Amazing location, comfortable bed and room and the pool and sauna is so relaxing after a long day
The views are incredible! I booked this hotel specifically to see the CBD, and the front desk upgraded me to an even better room with a fantastic view.

Traveling during the May Day holiday, I was pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to a top-floor executive room. The environment and hygiene were excellent, and it was super convenient to get around. The only minor drawback was having to pick up food deliveries from the takeout locker on the first floor, but thankfully it's inside the hotel lobby.

Regent Beijing was my choice, a hidden gem of a luxury hotel in the city center. It's incredibly convenient, right next to the Dengshikou Station exit on Line 5, where you can spot the hotel's side entrance sign. It's also very close to Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8, making it super easy to get to popular spots like Wangfujing, the Bird's Nest, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Xidan Joy City, and THE...
Location: I was most satisfied with its proximity to Dengshikou subway station – it's incredibly close (in my opinion, for a capital city with lots of traffic control and often no parking near attractions, taking the subway is the most convenient way to get anywhere). The hotel is also very close to Wangfujing, so if you have enough time, you can walk there for a city walk, which is quite enjoyable...
My husband and I stayed in Regent Beijing in mid May 2026 for 4 nights. We had a wonderful stay. The service was excellent across all areas—from customer service, front desk to housekeeping. A special thanks to the housekeeping team: they found my ring, which I hadn’t realized I had...
The room size was just right, and it truly upheld the quality expected of an established five-star hotel. The hotel's location is excellent and convenient for transportation, and the concierge and front desk staff provided great in-person service, which is commendable. The service was very thoughtful. Although they couldn't upgrade our room, they still sent a bottle of red wine for our anniversary. The room facilities were a bit ordinary, but the location near Guomao was extremely convenient. Breakfast was a bit average.
Having stayed in countless hotels, this time my main impression was that the hardware has significantly deteriorated. Although I know Shangri-La maintains their properties meticulously, issues like the faulty door lock indicate it's definitely due for a major renovation. The light meals at the Horizon Club have also declined. Having witnessed the hotel's growth, I sincerely hope to see improvements...
location is good but facing a business building, the room is very clean and service is good. Breakfast is good as well.It actually connected to another mall in the BCD area which is quite convinence.
The concierge in the lobby was very professional and the front desk processed check-in quickly. Although some of the room facilities are a bit dated, the bedding was very comfortable. Although it's not a brand new hotel, the facilities and cleanliness are still quite good. Thumbs up for the gym! My only complaint is the breakfast – it's honestly the worst five-star hotel breakfast I've ever had. There was barely anything, and the quality was terrible, truly hard to describe. This was my first time staying at a Kempinski, and my expectations were shattered. First off, the cleanliness was subpar. This old five-star hotel is still well-maintained, but this time, during the May Day holiday, there were so many guests that even the Executive Lounge was packed. The room was pretty good, and the location was convenient. My check-in experience was quite unpleasant, but they did offer compensation afterward, so overall I'm satisfied. I didn't use the gym or pool, but for this price point in Beijing (around 1000 yuan), having those amenities and a spacious room is excellent value for money, especially if you're attending a concert at the Bird's Nest.
The room was held for me as requested, not too far from the elevator, quiet and clean. The hotel location is convenient for transportation; I could just bike to the Bird's Nest for a concert. Free parking and charging stations were a plus, so I left fully charged for my drive back to Shanghai. Thumbs up!
My friend was in Beijing for Mayday's 'graduation ceremony' and I booked her a stay at the Sheraton Grand Beijing Dongcheng, right by Anzhen Bridge Subway Station. The subway access was pretty convenient. It was a two-night package with breakfast included, and the price was decent too. The overall environment was good, and for this trip, convenience was definitely the top priority! 👍🏻

At this price, it's unbeatable. My only suggestion would be that an upgrade to the decor would make...
Excellent location with great service! The staff member at the lobby entrance was particularly welcoming and enthusiastic. The room was clean, and it offered great value for money. Highly recommend!
I stayed for 6 nights and found the location to be very convenient. The hotel is just a 580-meter walk from Exit E of Xidan Station, which is an interchange for Metro Lines 1 and 4 (making it the closest hotel to Xidan Subway Station). The surrounding area is mostly office buildings, so it's quiet. It's also easy to get around to various places, usually just one or two subway stops away. The hygiene...
Absolutely excellent hotel. Great breakfasts. The staff are genuinely caring. I definitely recommend this hotel to foreigners. Sure, the staff’s English isn’t perfect, but who cares? They really want to help you and happily use translators :)

The Executive Lounge staff, especially Seventeen, were proactive and very thoughtful. The hotel's location offers convenient transportation, the rooms are clean, and the views are great. It's perfect for business travel, highly recommended! Good 👍[Strong][Strong][Strong][Strong][Strong]
The hotel is clean and beautiful, the service is attentive, and breakfast and dining are very convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing.
The front desk staff, particularly Kathy, provided exceptional service. The housekeeping on the 15th floor was also excellent, with clean rooms and attentive service. I'll definitely be back.
Very satisfied with my stay. I was granted an upgrade at check-in. The staff at the East Station were very friendly. There were many restaurant options, and the transportation was convenient.
The hotel's room service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Before arrival, they proactively called to ask about any special room requests. After checking in, our luggage was delivered directly to our room, and we were even greeted with welcome fruit and a handwritten welcome letter. During our stay, April, our butler, was always quick to respond and deliver whenever we messaged her for laundry...
Staying at the East Station, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a more comfortable and clean room. They were also very accommodating and allowed me a late check-out when I requested it. The hotel is newly renovated, conveniently located, and the facilities, ambiance, cleanliness, and service are all excellent.

The room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was huge, and the hotel overall felt quite new. It was convenient for visiting clients, and close to Xuanwumen subway station. There's also a great old braised offal restaurant nearby.
The location is quite convenient, and I'm very satisfied with the cleanliness of the environment. The executive lounge offers excellent service, and the dining is good (it would be even more perfect if breakfast included some freshly made noodles or other local dishes). Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.
Great stay, staff were very friendly, and the room was excellent. I'll definitely come back next time! It was very quiet, and the bathtub worked perfectly.
The room was very comfortable and the hotel's location was great. However, the breakfast selection could be improved.
The hotel is a bit old, but the room is quite spacious with decent basic amenities. The orientation isn't great, making it a bit dark in winter. The front desk service was good. It's not far from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, and about fifteen minutes from Beijing North Railway Station.
The hotel is conveniently located near the subway, making travel easy. There's a mall nearby with many restaurants. The beds are large, very spacious for sleeping with children. Nicole at the front desk was very efficient; I accidentally booked a king room, and she immediately helped me change it to a twin room, making check-in quick. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and my child...

Kunlun Hotel truly lives up to its reputation as an established five-star hotel. Even though the decor is over ten years old, the rooms are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Plus, the surrounding area boasts convenient transportation and beautiful scenery.
Great location and good facilities. The front desk staff who checked us in was very professional and responsible, and our butler was always quick to respond. The room was comfortable, and the nearby Liangma River offers beautiful scenery.
We brought our kids to Beijing and stayed at Kunlun Hotel again. This time, a special thanks to You Zhenfei at the front desk. His service was incredibly warm and attentive. He helped us choose an ideal floor for the children and even upgraded our room for free. We felt right at home, which made our Beijing trip a very comfortable experience. 👍
This is an older international hotel. The service and breakfast were both good, and my child enjoyed it too. The hotel is right by the Liangma River, making transportation very convenient.
A good 5 star hotel close to "things" as you can be in Beijing. Nothing is actually close. But a nice place to be while you are there. The restaurant in the 29th floor turns around like a clock and has a good view over a small part of Beijing. If you book a room in the exectutive floors you get a good breakfast in the 29th as well. Easy to get DiDi to pick you up. Both the japanese and the chinese...
Great location, right by Yansha Bridge, making it super convenient for airport access. It's also right next to the Liangma River with lovely views. The hotel's breakfast offers both Western and Chinese options, and it's quite delicious. The rooms are comfortable and come with a spacious bathroom.
