My friend's feedback was that it was just so-so. After seeing the hotel room I booked myself, they said the budget hotel I stayed in was much better.

Affordable and convenient. It was only 56 RMB per night with various discounts on Ctrip. It's a three-minute walk from Fangcaojie subway station, located in a not-so-new four-story building, probably in a well-established old residential area. The room was larger than I expected, much larger than the Pudding Hotel I've stayed at before; I always book the cheapest room. The facilities of a budget hotel were exactly what I needed. Arriving late and leaving early for one night, it was excellent value for money.

Mostly satisfied, my only complaint is that the air conditioning wasn't effective enough and made the room too cold. I actually woke up in the middle of the night because it was so chilly.

Terrible, just terrible! The duvet cover and pillows were all yellow, making it feel like they hadn't been washed. The blanket was incredibly thin, even thinner than a summer quilt – you'd think it was summer! On top of that, the price was expensive. If it's going to be expensive, at least have some decent facilities, right? The room was tiny, probably around 10 square meters. The bathroom was ridiculous with a glass door, so everything you did in there was completely visible from the outside. It scared me so much I couldn't even use the toilet. The soundproofing was also awful; I kept thinking someone was trying to open my door when they opened theirs outside.

The walls were all black and dirty. You couldn't take off your clothes to sleep because they would stick to your skin and cause itching and red rashes. I don't know if it was because the sheets weren't washed properly and were irritating your skin. The window was sandwiched between two buildings, so it couldn't see the sun. When you opened it, there were pipes underneath. The cups were disposable paper cups. The shower gel and shampoo were served in paper cups. This was the first time I had ever encountered such a shabby hotel. I strongly advise against staying here!

The location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from Exit D of Fangcaojie subway station. It's very convenient for those wanting to visit Yulin Market and try its food, and there are plenty of other restaurants nearby.
