City Comfort Inn Hotel in Kunming

The hotel is strategically located near Nanping Street. While the room was spacious, the facilities are somewhat outdated. Cleanliness needs improvement—we found hair strands on the floor and noticed an unpleasant smell when turning on the air conditioner—but the front desk promptly sent housekeeping to clean the room once requested.

The hotel is conveniently located near Kunming's Cuihu Park, making it easy to get around and explore. It offers great value for money, with decent environmental hygiene and facilities. The staff are warm and attentive, providing a very pleasant stay.

The room was clean and tidy, the service was excellent, and the view was wide open. It's very close to the subway station, just a few minutes' walk away. It's also very convenient to get to Yuangtongshan Zoo directly by subway, and it's close to Kunming Station, making travel very easy.

The hotel is centrally located with complete facilities and is clean and hygienic. Downstairs is a shopping center, and it's not far from the Old City and Cuihu Park. The service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. I stayed for two nights.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and is very clean. Its central location offers excellent transport links, being close to Green Lake (Cuihu Lake), which is incredibly convenient. There are also many snack stalls nearby, and Green Lake itself offers beautiful scenery. It's also close to Kunming Old Street. Overall, it's a very convenient place to stay and definitely worth recommending to everyone.

Location: I chose this place for its convenience – it's close to the subway exit and not far from Kunming Old Street. It's even closer to the Army Lecture Hall, which I wanted to visit, so that was super handy. After the lecture hall, you can easily pop over to Cuihu Park.
Soundproofing: I'd say it's just okay. My room faced the street, so some noise was inevitable.
Cleanliness: It was fine, no major issues. Anyway, the main reason I picked this spot was for its easy access to everything.

This was the worst value-for-money hotel I've stayed at in Kunming. I saw on the map that the location was great, but upon arrival, I found the hotel entrance was on a service road under an overpass at a crossroads, and the surroundings were a mess! However, it's very close to the subway station, making transportation convenient.

There were thresholds at both the room door and the bathroom door, which I found very odd – you could easily trip! The room window faced the street, but the soundproofing of the glass was good, so it wasn't noisy at all. Yet, the soundproofing for the room door facing the hallway was terrible; when people opened their doors or talked across the hall, it sounded like they were right next to me.

The front desk upgraded my room, but it was still very small. Besides the bed, the aisle was only wide enough for one person to walk. The wall-mounted air conditioner was very dirty, with mold inside, and the up-and-down airflow couldn't be adjusted, so it only blew directly onto the head of the bed.

The front desk suggested I pay an extra 59 to become a member and get free breakfast, but I was very disappointed when I went to the 17th-floor restaurant the next day. The restaurant was small, with limited variety, and only two aunties were working – one in the kitchen and one helping guests with noodles outside. It was clearly understaffed for the number of people. Used dishes weren't cleared quickly enough, and there was leftover food and tissues on the floor, indicating poor hygiene. I even saw an ill-mannered child sneezing directly onto the buffet food with no parental supervision!

In summary, apart from the somewhat good location, the room facilities and staff management reflect low-cost investment. I regret spending 59 to become a member and will not choose any hotels from this brand's chain again.

The night market is right outside, offering plenty of food options, and there's a large supermarket nearby, making shopping and dining super convenient. Plus, there's Kunming's biggest farmer's market just over a kilometer's walk away, which is worth exploring. The hotel also offers breakfast.

The room was very clean, beautiful, and spacious. It's super close to the subway station and Cuihu Park, with lots of great food options nearby. Definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Kunming! The hotel breakfast was also very good.
