Grand Hotel Slavia in Baska Voda

Updated, nice, clean! Felt very resort like.

Fabulous hotel in the very pretty Baska Voda. Hotel is right on the front with views of the harbour and sea. Such an excellent location, can walk left out of the hotel to Makarska, such a beautiful walk along the pathways on the seafront and to Brela and beyond on the right. Perfect location! We had a standard room ( only rooms left) but our room like the rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean, of a really good size, great shower ( always very hot water) and plenty of storage. The room had a fridge, hairdryer, kettle for coffee/tea ( replenished daily) along with a coffee pod machine providing 2 pods thereafter I think you had to purchase them. Not a problem for us as I always take my own tea and coffee. Housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The bed and pillows were the most comfiest we have had anywhere we have travelled, just divine! Breakfast provided an excellent selection of hot/cold foods, everything you could wish for with some lovely breads. We booked half board, the choices and cooking were better some nights than others but we always found something to eat. Plenty of restaurants on the doorstep to choose from if you wish to eat out. A bottle of wine, cocktails and all drinks were very reasonably priced in fact we didn’t drink anywhere else every evening. Big shout out to all the fabulous staff who served us at breakfast and dinner especially Kristina in the restaurant and Ivan who made the most excellent cocktails! All staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming, very friendly and we couldn’t have received better service. This was our very first visit to Croatia and I was rather anxious about my choice as friends were travelling with us. Absolutely no need, we loved this hotel, loved Baska Voda and we will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel. Thank You all at Grand Hotel Slavia, for a fabulous stay!

A very stylish hotel set right by the beaches in the heart of Baska Voda. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly giving helpful advice when asked. Every area was clean and nicely scented. Our room had a huge bed with very comfortable mattress and pillows and had plenty of storage and efficient aircon. The breakfast buffet was freshly presented with lots of healthy options and I would recommend the restaurant for evening meals also. We enjoyed the spa facilities with deep pool, 3 saunas and a steam room. For the price we paid this hotel felt much more expensive and I can't fault it at all. We had a balcony room at the side near the church and although the bells sound they are quiet during the night. They didn't bother us at all and I actually liked hearing them. It made my stay all the more authentic.

Beautifully decorated restaurant, clean and spacious. Terrace with sea view. Delicious and beautifully presented food.

Very cozy rooms, very friendly and professional staff, beautiful location with a large beach with sun loungers for guests, for people with reduced mobility: the stairs leading to the reception become a problem even for heavy suitcases, no slide for suitcases. Buffet breakfast and dinner, the choice is not difficult, but the quality of the dishes and desserts is excellent, the usual problem with coffee can be improved even here ... A nice cappuccino among the coffees offered for breakfast. More suitable for couples or families with older children.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The pool and spa area were a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day out. One of the best parts was how close the beach was, just a short walk away! Plus, it’s located near plenty of restaurants and bars, so dining out and enjoying the nightlife was super convenient. The food options nearby were excellent, with something for every taste. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms with air condition and in my opinion, this hotel has the best location.

This is simply a superb hotel in the centre of Baska Voda. The room we had was extremely well appointed. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent both breakfast and evening meal. The entertainment on two evenings was really good and a gin and tonic on the terrace is a great way to relax both pre and post dining. We will definitely be returning. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I wanted to go to Baska Voda and thought this hotel would be a good fit for us and I wasn't disappointed. We chose a sea view room but without a balcony. The room was very clean and had a view of the promenade, although the windows were rather small. Very comfortable beds, adequate storage, well appointed bathroom (even if the shower was over the bath, not my favourite). Safe and fridge in the room. But the rooms aren't the star of the show here. There is a great bar on the terrace with reasonably priced cocktails, the restaurant was good and the waiting staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we ate at the hotel one evening, also good. The free spa is very well appointed, decent size pool, jacuzzi and gym. Also a wide range of payable services. All hotel staff are delightful. The hotel is in a prominent position in the village and the beach is directly across the road. Lots of restaurants to the right and a few to the left. Nice walks along the beach promenade in each direction. Overall the hotel is a great place from which to explore all the beautiful sites this part of Croatia has to offer. We will be back.

Just returned from an 8 night stay at Slavia Hotel . We booked a Superior room (409) on BA Holidays Website and made the right choice. Our room was situated at the rear of the building with a balcony with a great view towards the sea. The room was large and comfortable with a bathroom with both bath and shower. No tissues provided or bottled water in the room, and coffee pods could be bought from reception for a small fee. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant on 5 evenings and the food was good quality. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
