Hotel Tamaris

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at the lovely Aparthotel Tamaris, which is situated right on the beach near the beginning of the promenade. It’s in a fairly quiet stretch but only a stones throw from the restaurants. The apartment had 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single and a double sofa bed in the large sitting room) - it was very comfortable, airy and clean with a beautiful sea view from our spacious balcony. It was perfect for our family of 4 which included my 11 year old and my elderly mother. We had a bathroom which included a bath with a jacuzzi and an extra toilet/sink. The pool was not big but it was very pleasant and always quiet and we were on right next to the sea anyway. The breakfast was good and offered a reasonable selection, with the option of freshly cooked eggs and waffles each day. The Restaurant Freyja served good quality food though was not cheap. Overall service was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay, definitely recommended!

The best place I have ever been to, beautiful view and beaches, great and friendly staff, extraordinary breakfast with a beautiful view of the beach. I recommend this hotel for everyone!

Everything was excellent

- room was very clean, spacious and cozi; the bed was very comfortable
- bathroom was nice and clean; shower cabin was quite huge
- breakfast was varied and tasty; cheese (gouda, cream cheese), different types of ham, different types of pepperoni, vegetables, fruits, yogurts, pancakes; furthermore you could order eggs benedict, pouched eggs, omelette or waffles
- staff was very professional and friendly
- parking was spacious
- beach was just in front of the hotel
- discount for renting paddle board
- booked an extanight (same price as initial booking, same room)
- location was just perfect; right at the beginning (or end) of Tucepi, so not very crowded or noisy but very close to restaurants and shops
- there was a small problem with the minibar, it was not cooling; we announced the reception and someone came to fix it; few days later, it was broken again but it didn’t bother us (yet, after check out the said that it would be replaced)

The great place to spend your holidays near the sea. We have booked the superior see view apartments. They were amazing! The best sea view I’ve ever had, everything new inside, very comfortable and nice! The service was great! Will come back and recommend for sure

Hotel Tamara is an excellent place for a cozy holiday on Makarska Riviera. It is located in Tucepi outside of the main noise of Makarska. It sits almost at the end of a lovely promenade just by the sea. You can throw a rock into the sea from your breakfast table of you like!

Beach is fairly narrow and full of small rocks. I personally prefer that to sand which goes everywhere, the only downside is that you probably need some swimming shoes, but you can get them for some 50 Kuna everywhere.

Our room was quite nice, nothing extraordinary but clean and fairly new. The balcony is quite big and actually useful for a relaxing evening.

Staff was extremely nice, you can see that they are doing their best. Restaurant at the hotel is one of the best in the area, so you are not missing out by eating at the hotel.

Highly recommended, especially if you are visiting with kids

Nice location, nice staff and excellent service. Along with nice modern rooms 5 out of 5 would definitely be back if going to Croatia again.

Brilliant place, service, food, location was amazing. Couldn't possibly find friendlier staff anywhere else in this world, and a MASSIVE bonus for the kitchen being most kind and helpful catering for someone like me who is gluten and milk protein intolerant, no problems for them to sort lunch or dinner! I've never had such help before despite traveling a lot.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach front and has a pool and terrasse. People are lovely and try their best to help you, we were lent towels and a place to take a shower even after our checkout. The breakfast is very nice and they can cook you hot plates on the spot with eggs and a choice of sides. The restaurant is good too.

Very clean,staff extremely helpful and nice.Free parking (should be requested beforehand just in case).We also sent request for early check in and room was ready just in time.Beach is 5 meters away.

Only downside might be distance from center.Its a 10 minute walk ,but we didnt mind since its relaxing walk with beautiful sceney.
