Villa Samba in Mlini

This was our first time in the beautiful country of Croatia and Villa Samba was the perfect place for us. We were after a week of relaxation along with a few trips, which we did to Dubrovnik and the three Island cruise and this Villa surpassed all our expectations. Unfortunately for us we had a delay on the plane and arrived in the dark, about midnight, and Toni was there to see us in to the apartment with a smile. Come the morning any tiredness and anguish over the delay vanished once we opened the curtains to see the fantastic view from out of the balcony. The sunsets were something else!! We had an introduction talk in the morning after our arrival to give us the details of the local area, restaurants, beaches, buses, shops etc. Nikola and Toni, were so helpful with the information they have supplied in the apartment and helped us to organise our trips out. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, we were not expecting the maid service to do the bins bedding etc as no other apartment we have been to has had this. The pool was lovely, clean and very peaceful. The beaches nearby were so clean it is embarrassing to think about the state of our local beaches in comparison to Croatian beaches. With water so clear it was lovely to swim in warm water. We would not hesitate to go back as it is so very well placed to get to all the local area with out being in the Hussle and bustle of a built up town. We cannot recommend this enough to everyone that wants to relax and be comfortable with where they are staying. Villa Samba, Nikola and family, thank you for an amazing holiday.

The villa is everything you need, immaculate and the views from the balcony are so amazing especially the sunset. Nikola welcomes you and explains everything in detail offering advice on your stay in Croatia and very helpful always. The villa is in a quiet area so suitable for those happy to relax and catch a bus or taxi to visit Dubrovnik, Cavtat or Milini for entertainment. There are some good restaurants in Plat though so you can choose. We did two day trips to Montenegro and one to Bosnia and a lovely visit to Chilipi on the Sunday as recommended by the owner of the villa. They have a lovely Sunday church service and crafts and local people dressed in cultural clothing with song and dance so well worth it. We wouldn’t hesitate staying in Villa Samba and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful stay in beautiful accommodation.

Lovely holiday experience at family run Villa Samba, from friendly welcome on arrival to departure no complaints. Swimming pool is spotless and always room around it with parasols and cushions. Views from the front balconies are fantastic and the Villa is a short walk away from Buses to Cavtat/Dubrovnic or boat trip from Plat pier to Dubrovnic. Apartment is clean, modern and comfortable with two balconies to catch sun (or shade) at different times. Would recommend for anyone staying in Dubrovnic area.

Met by Nikola on our arrival and enjoyed a delicious glass of his own red wine ! He briefed us on the locality and gave us tips for getting around. Our apartment was spotless with views from the balconies that are hard to describe : stunning !! Comfortable accommodation with effective air conditioning . We sat by the pool most afternoons and there were always enough beds and umbrellas to go round . The pool area was cleaned every morning and was immaculate. Perfect base for visits into Dubrovnik and Cavtat and a short drive to the airport. We hired a car for 4 days whilst we were there which enabled us to visit Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina on day trips both of which were very enjoyable. The car was brought to us and collected from us which was ideal and hassle free. There is a supermarket within walking distance ( if you arrive as we did in a Sunday afternoon it will be closed : we found a small shop in the Hotel Plat) but used it after the Sunday. Our hosts were quite simply amazing and passionate about their property and the enjoyment of guests. We will be returning!!

Fourth day of our holiday well what can I say!, this place is just amazing, the superb hospitality, apartments are so clean and you everything you need. The pool has a jacuzzi which is an added bonus and the views are out of this world it’s peaceful just what we wanted. We will definitely be back!, thank you to the owners 🥰

The room was spotless and it was kept spotless throughout our stay. Nikola and Ana were so welcoming The beach is down the road and there are loads of restaurants in walking distance. Cavtac and Dubrovnik within easy reach and the info in the file plus the hosts local knowledge made exploring easy. Overall a great place and I thoroughly recommend it!!!

Nikola met us with a wine and a liquor. Explained everything well and can arrange excursions as well. We booked a 3 island cruise through him and a trip to Mostar. All €65 pp. Number 10 bus up on the main road about a 5 min walk to the left takes you to Dubrovnik and Cavtat. 3 euros each way pp and 12 mins to Cavtat. 40 mins to Dubrovnik. We stayed in number 5 and it was spotlessly clean and very nice. Every apartment has a couple of balconies with a lovely sea view. The beach is about a 10 minute walk down the hill and the poseydon beach bar restaurant is steps down to the left and less steps but further to the right. You need beach shoes as it’s rocky but lovely water to swim in. There is a few restaurants. King is the best but you must book. Suggest you do this on the first night. A little more pricey €80 for 2 but worth it with lovely sea and sunset views. Small supermarket up on the main road about a 10 minute walk to the left up through the swimming pool. 2 ways up to the main road. Either to the right of the front of the hotel and follow the road up to the bus stops. Sea side to Cavtat. Mountain side to Dubrovnik. Next to the supermarket is a pizza restaurant but they do other meals too and the service is great. Overall a very relaxing break and although a bit stern and forceful Nikola is a top bloke. I would definitely recommend. The swimming pool is immaculate and so peaceful. Only a few people use it and plenty of sunbeds cushions and umbrellas. 10/10 from me.

We came fory daughters 16th birthday. Our first trip abroad. We found the villa well appointed, and the owners very lovely. They made sure we had good instructions on how to get around, which buses to take, what to visit and where to eat. Gave a lot of good recommendations for what to do in Dubrovnik and the best things to see. We really enjoyed our stay and have fallen in in love with the people, culture and landscape of Croatia. Lovely visit over all and would highly recommend.
