HOTEL MARINA in Brela

hen we checked into the hotel, we were disappointed with the sea view, which was blocked by a large tree. The reception promised to get back to us with a new, better room within a day or two. They never got back to us at all during the entire week we stayed there, not even after I reminded them.
Two lamps in the room were broken.
We saw silverfish in the room.
At the pool, there’s a clear sign saying you are not allowed to “reserve” sunbeds and that the staff will remove towels if the beds are not being used. This is not true. People behave like cavemen and go out well before 7 a.m. to grab their sunbeds, and the staff do absolutely nothing about it. You can end up without a sunbed for the whole day while 6–10 of them just have towels on them. I brought this up, but the staff did nothing.
At the pool, they play 80s pop music. I asked if it was possible to have calmer, more pleasant music by the pool, and they replied that they had no control over the music.
The hotel advertises nice sunbeds and cabanas closer to the beach as part of the hotel. But even though the hotel owns them, they are not included at all—you have to pay €30 per day per sunbed there.
When we checked out, we mentioned all of this, and the only compensation they offered was free parking (€9 per day). However, they still charged us for it anyway and stopped replying to my messages when I asked about it afterward.
This is an okay hotel, but with terrible service and hospitality.
It feels like it’s all about squeezing out as much money as possible, and the owners don’t care about the guests at all.
My advice: book somewhere else.

Good location near Punta Rata

BE CAREFUL: · Very -very old and poor facilities. Air conditioner does not work. The photos do not fit the reality.

Avoid the beach restaurant. Terrible service. Disgusting food.

29th of july we went through something rather unexpected. We visited this nice looking place with multiple waiters and a lot of visitors hoping to get some good ice coffee as a snack. Well, that was a mistake. We waited half an hour just to order and the waiter noticed us only after my friend asked him if we could order something. So as I mentioned earlier, we wanted an ice coffee. Not only have it cost 37kuna, we waited another 15 minutes to get it. And let me tell you, it wasn't worth the time nor the money. The glasses were dirty, the whipped cream was old and almost nonexistent and it took a while to find some icecream in the drink. It tasted just as disgusting as it looked and we're never going there again.
