Romana Beach Resort in Makarska

It was a superb experience, large clean rooms and facilities, large clean pools, great restaurant

Really happy with the room, booked a sea view and was worth it, cleaning is fine no problems. Pool area and hotel clean, we had lunch a few times pizza, chips, Caesar salad reasonably priced and good food. The pool areas are nice not life guards, there is a kids club and the gym is the best one I have seen in a hotel. There is also a lovely 5* hotel next door and it all looks to be the same hotel but it isn’t my children used that pool more as it was hotter. Beach is literally, a couple of minutes walk and you get to see the most beautiful sunsets, was quite busy when we arrived but got more quieter as the week went on. There is a shop within a couple of minutes walk and a lovely bakery. Also so many restaurants on the walk to on the promenade, shops, markets, ice cream you will never be stuck for lovely places to eat. The only negative I would have is the staff don’t really like to provide any information, or talk in general and that’s if you see any. We went to the half board buffet a couple of night which was quite pricey £26 an adult £13 a child not a lot of choice and was given no information. The breakfast if included is ok, there are eggs and lovely breads that’s all we needed. Overall a lovely stay in a really lovely place and we would highly recommended.

Close to the beach, lots of pool options. Great for families.

The room is quite large and the kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, suitable for cooking. However, there are many people on the beach. The restaurant has a good barbecue for dinner, with a different theme every day. The view is blocked.

One of the cleanest hotels we've stayed in. The apartments are beautiful, big, with a beautiful balcony and kitchen. The food is excellent in the hotel. The staff is super friendly and the cleaners are up to the task.Bed is super comfy and soft.

The location is ca 1,5 km from Makarska centre. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff very friendly and very serviceminded. The breakfast was ok - however not som versatile. The two pools are great - however there is no guard - so the children make a lot of noice. It is not allowed to reserve sunbeds - however they were reserved from 9 in the morning anyhow. Was tempted to scoop the towels up and take the beds myself.. so be early or you will not get beds. The beach is right outside the hotel - however not very nice. It's right by the beach promenade, so be ready to be on display. You will have to buy bathing shoes as the beach is made of small stones.

We spend One night in this hotel , every thing was great , staff extreemly sweet and helpfull, great location a bit out of town, we had a wonderfull stay eventhow it was out of season. We Will be back for sure.

Beautiful location, clean and good housekeeping, great food in restaurant - and in general really kind and serviceminded staff:) The kids loved it to! Recommend the Apollo kids club and swimming course:)
