Self check-in. Easy and responsive contact with hostess, super friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable beds, great room above restaurant in the middle of the old town. Very good experience for a nice price (october), thank you!

Location could not be better, you are literally a minute away from the tower but once you step through the little courtyard leading to the hotel you can hardly tell that you’re in the centre of the action.

Rooms are modern and comfortable, shower pressure is great, and there is Chromecast on TV as well. Bring earplugs because the stone isn’t very good for sound insulation and the bells ring early - but so long as you come prepared you’ll be fine.

This place is the best, you get to stay in buildings that formed part of the ORIGINAL palace, only now with modern comfort. Plus, Ivana is an excellent host. As a local, she’s always happy to share her expertise to make your stay easier, and more memorable by showing you the best places to go. Looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks, thanks Ivana!

Perfect stay within the Palace!

Room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Safe and secure with keypad entry.

The entire property was very Covid safe and offered sanitizer and wipes at entrance and within.

And oh my, the location was directly straight through the Golden Gate then into a small alley straight off the main square. So so easy to find.

Ivana was a fabulous host and communicator.

We pass through Split often in our travels and have since 2006. I’m so happy to find Palace Augubio!!

Palace Augubio offers a great value in the middle of Split old town/Diocletian's Palace. It was renovated in a very nice style, rooms have fridges, air conditioning, toiletries. Check in and check out are very easy. Cleaning was spotless and towels were replaced daily.
There is plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, the ferry port and train/bus station are also within walking distance. Definitely the place to be in Split.
However, the soundproofing is unsufficient. Due to the location, there's lots of nightlife going on, and you can hear the sounds from the street all day.
There's no lift and you have to walk some stairs to get there. Not an issue for me and I really enjoyed the stay, but you have to be aware of that.
