Hotel Medena in Trogir

Hello, let's start from the beginning, we waited 8 hours in the hotel lobby to be checked in, during which neither breakfast nor lunch was included in the waiting time, so we had to pay an additional 20 euros per person. Then we got to the room and saw that there were not enough sockets in the room, only 2, for the mini bar and TV, so we had to change them when we wanted to charge our phones. Another minus was that the bathroom had problems with the sewage system and a stench that did not disappear anywhere. Although there is a cleaning service in the rooms, the maids did not do their job. The mirrors are dirty, as are other surfaces. Be prepared that even if you leave a tip, it is not a fact that they will clean or at least change the bed linen. I will not say anything about Wi-Fi at all, because there was none, it only appears in the hotel lobby and near the pools. Perhaps these problems are only in building B, but given the information from other hotel residents, the same thing happens there. The only reasons to stay here are the beautiful sea and the varied cuisine in the dining room and if you choose an excursion it will be interesting and there will be a pleasant and very friendly driver, but remember that this is an excursion without a guide so knowledge of languages ​​will be a necessity at least not to get lost. But do not forget to take a lot of money because the price for an inexpensive resort is too high, and also if you are a tourist you pay a fee of 14 euros, which you may not be told about until you pick up your passports, even if you try to complain, the reception will just shrug their shoulders and shake their heads and say that there are a lot of people now, they will not even apologize for the inconvenience. So come at your own peril and risk and only for a few days otherwise you will pay not for the service but for disrespectful attitude‼️‼️‼️

Booked a suite. Bell man was asked to help with luggage. Paid seven Euros and he left the bags in the hall. Furniture is faded. No Kleenex in the bathrooms. No hand towel or rack in the half bath. Soap is smaller than a credit card. Squeeze plastic for shampoo. Only two glasses in the room. Came back from tour at 4 pm. Service early sign was taken down but dirty fishes and towels were left. Only made the bed. This happened twice. No water in the night stands which is customary in three star hotel. Buffet was stone cold both mornings. Had flinch and dinner outside the hotel. Not one staff person smiled the entire three days. Kids and parents scream in the hallways.

This is not a four star hotel. We arrived and they would not accept our confirmation, but we finally got to our room. No water on the night stands as is customary, no Kleenex, no towel or towel rack in the half bath. Soap was half the size of a credit card. Shampoo was a joke. I brought my own and bought body wash in the lobby. I tipped the bell man seven Euros to help me with me bags and he left the luggage cart in the hallway. Breakfast buffet was cold both days. Coffee was also cold. Came back from my tour to find dirty coffee cups and dirty glasses in the bathroom. Not once but twice. The first day we did not get fresh towels. If you want to find a place with ill behaving children and screaming parents, this place is for you. I saw a mother drop her infant on the restaurant floor this morning. Apparently she did not know how to hold a baby. The baseboards are dirty and when I knocked to cover off the shower drain, some suspicious black scum came out which I cleaned with a piece of toilet paper. There is a yellow stain on the bottom sheet near the pillow. Finally, my friend commented that none of the staff smiles or is friendly in any manner. They hand you a drink with no expression. Whoever gave this hotel a four stars must not have visited or maybe he was bribed.

I stayed one week in this hotel. Unfortunately I was not quite happy with my experience. All in all it was not the quality and standards of the 3 stars. First of all - our room was not clean as we checked in. In the bathroom you could see a lot of hairs on the floor and on the walls, the mirror wasn't probably cleaned at all (full of stains ), the sink was dirty too. The floor of the room itself wasn't clean too. Such things are very disappointing and a clear No go! The room and everything in it, but the hotel in general is in need of refurbishment and modernisation. The room we got wasn't that nice and big, as they show it on their pictures. These are probably a few best rooms they have. Another thing that left me shocked was that another hotel guest (probably by mistake) has opened the door to our room with her own key. I don't understand what kind of security standards these are - this is unacceptable. The only positive thing about this hotel ist the location - you have a really quick access to the beautiful beach. On the way to that you have a chance to jump into the pool (but it's almost so full, that you don't have enough space, not to mention sun loungers) or just enjoy the nature that surrounds you - like a small forest around you. Also there ist a possibility to play tennis, football or basketball. The breakfast ist just okay, there is food for every taste but no variations. (No vegan or vegetarian options) Service is too quick with cleaning the tables, my drinks were taken away multiple times although I was not ready. One thing that was friendly is that I shouldn't pay for my son, as we decided to eat dinner in the hotel. (20€ per person) This experience made me to decide not to stay at this hotel in the future.

Stairs stairs stairs everywhere. Terrible personel. You can get only one keycard for your room No bottled water in “all inclusive” program No snack bar (cant count the bread with ham up in the hotel if you are at the pool - 500m by stairs away - your baby will be hungry between breakfast - lunch - dinner. All inclusive ends at 22pm, so as electricity in your room, reception etc.

Awful, would never stay again! Unfortunately, the hotel room was infested with bed bugs, which is both unhygienic and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hotel staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The hotel is set in a lovely location, close to beach and pool is lovely, but inside the hotel and the staff were a real let down- shame!
