Hotel Pecr Well in Pec pod Snezkou

We chose PECR WELL because for many years I considered it to be a very high-quality hotel. Unfortunately, our stay turned out to be a big disappointment. To be honest, I haven’t left a hotel this frustrated in a long time – especially considering that two nights cost us around 9,000 CZK. What really disappointed us • Extremely loud noise from the club across the street. Both nights there was very loud music playing late into the night. The windows were literally vibrating. On the second day I went to the reception because I hadn’t slept until 3 a.m. I was told that the next night would be quiet. It wasn’t. The exact same situation happened again, and I never received any further explanation. • Parking in the garage is poorly managed. No one at the reception even asked about the size of our car. We arrived in a Land Rover Discovery and two other SUVs were parked next to us, so I practically had to climb out through the roof to get out of the car. The biggest “bonus” came when we were leaving – I noticed scratches on the paint, most likely from a car next to us that didn’t have enough space to get out. Luckily I managed to polish it out, so I didn’t pursue the issue further, but for a hotel of this category it is quite disappointing. • Wellness limited to 90 minutes and only until 5:30 p.m. Honestly, I have never experienced this before. At a wellness hotel I would expect guests to be able to use the facilities freely, without such strict time limits. This concept is quite strange. • Very dark hallways. The common areas were almost completely dark. I don’t know if this is meant to save energy or part of the design, but it feels very unusual. • Ski boot dryer in the ski room not working. It was blowing only cold air, so the boots never dried or warmed up. • Distance to the ski slopes. If you walk in ski boots towards Javor, expect roughly a 30-minute walk. • Bed linen with stains. We found stains that looked like blood and marker. I understand that some stains are difficult to remove, but in a hotel of this category this simply shouldn’t happen. • Dirty windows. There were very visible streaks on the windows, which was also quite surprising for a hotel of this level. • Breakfast. The breakfast room is quite small and the selection of food is rather basic. It’s a classic buffet, but compared to hotels abroad the offer feels quite limited. • Missing basic amenities. The hotel does not provide basic items such as cotton buds, makeup removal pads, creams, or similar toiletries, which are standard even in lower-category hotels. What was good • the room itself was clean • the wellness staff were very friendly and helpful • the reception staff were also polite, although unfortunately they were not able to help us with the noise issue • the illuminated bathtub in the room • multifunctional TV • good walking distance to shops and restaurants Overall Overall, the hotel felt somewhat underdeveloped and definitely did not meet the expectations I
