Fantastic location. Whether you are skiing or enjoying the beautiful nature and views of the valley and the town below. Very friendly service. Good food and big portions. And a nice big parking lot. Takes the cable car down to the bottom of the slopes. Enjoy the snack bar, then head either into the beautiful spot out or back up the cable car and enjoy!

Service struggled
The staff struggled to give best possible service which they nearly succeeded in reaching.

I felt weird at this place. I have to say that it was beautiful. We visited the Café here. First we had to find it. We found completelly empty place. Some staff around…like Adam’s family atmosphere. One could order tea, coffee and one or two types of cakes. So we did so. The quality of items ordered and their service was perfect. One could not complaint. But still I did not feel good. What was wrong there? Bizarre atmosphere. Still I felt like I was not expected or wanted there. Is this place starting? Or is it ending? Nobody knows. But anyway, potential of this place amazing. It is not developed yet, though.

The staff was friendly and helpful. In our room, for example, there was only hot water in the sinks, but not in the shower. The hotel manager immediately offered us a second room without any fuss and had a plumber come the next morning to repair the problem. BUT: We stayed here for four days. We were the only guests. Naturally, you have to ask why this is so. On the day of our arrival, we had to not only let them know before 3 p.m. whether we would be eating at the hotel, but also what we wanted. When we finally arrived, we understood why. We were the only guests... We were served completely unprofessionally, but extremely friendly and diligently by the hotel manager himself. Is that really what you want when you visit a five-star wellness and golf hotel? There were saunas and steam rooms, but only by appointment and for a fee. Why does the hotel have a sign saying "wellness"? I booked a hot stone massage - more to see if they actually offered one. Yes, they did. But I had the feeling that the otherwise nice masseuse, who only spoke Czech, hadn't done it very often. I felt sorry for her because she was trying hard. It was neither relaxing nor pleasant: instead of gentle music in a pleasant room, all you could hear was the masseuse's labored breathing while you lay in a sparse space being massaged far too vigorously. The restaurant, which is advertised as "Castle Restaurant" in large letters on the sign directing you, isn't actually open to the public. You have to make a reservation by 3 p.m. with a menu choice. The selection of dishes is small, the food is decent, but not particularly good. The café, which is advertised on a slate board in front of the hotel as being open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is empty and unattended. It's a shame about the truly beautiful building, which is lovingly (if rather kitschly) decorated down to the last detail. If you'd like to live in an entire castle all to yourself for a while, you can book here. Anyone looking to relax and be pampered in a 5-star hotel shouldn't go here. How can a hotel like this even survive?

We recently stayed at the Rubezahl Hotel in Marianske Lazne and had quite a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel and our room were very clean and quiet, which we appreciated. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink and the option to decide whether or not to attend dinner that evening. We appreciated the flexibility and the fact that we were told our food would be freshly cooked based on our selections. However, our dining experience was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. Although the dinner table was beautifully set and the waitress was friendly, communication was a bit difficult due to her limited German and English skills. The salad was served before we were even fully seated and had no dressing, just a bit of balsamic as decoration. The Caesar salad had cold chicken and was quite dry. The soups were uneven in temperature, and the main course was disappointing. The rosemary potatoes lacked both rosemary and salt, and the chicken and pork dishes were not well-prepared. To top it off, the dessert was a defrosted ricotta cake instead of the apple strudel we had ordered. We struggled to communicate with the waitress about these issues, and we felt somewhat rushed as our entire meal was served within an hour and the bill arrived before we had even finished our dessert. For over €100, we expected a much better dining experience, especially considering the "fine dining" advertisement. On a brighter note, breakfast the next day was enjoyable and met our expectations. Overall, our stay at the Rubezahl Hotel was a mixed bag, with wonderful staff and a clean, quiet environment, but a disappointing dinner experience.

- This hotel got stuck in 90’s but not in a good way (it concerns room equipment, processes related to dine-in, staff, menu, …). It is not worth it the price you pay.

We‘ve been here for coffee & cake and it was just disgusting! People are nice, but the fruits served with the cake tasted like onions! Obviously they cut their cakes/fruits with the same knife as they cut the vegetables...

We spent 5 nights here last week in Rubezahl Marienbad Castle Hotel & Wellness Resort. After reading tons of reviews on Czech Republic hotels we decided this castle-hotel was the right fit for us. The hotel is actually an old castle, totally renovated and combines the atmosphere of an old empire with avant-garde services and facilities. The personnel at Rubezahl Marienbad Castle Hotel & Wellness Resort was outstanding in striving to meet their guest needs and wants. The breakfast is fantastic as well as the food in general. It was quiet and the neighborhood felt safe. The suites were very clean with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The high ceilings made the room feel ultra-spacious and with large windows and a lot of natural light. I would definitely recommend Rubezahl Marienbad Castle Hotel & Wellness Resort.

We had a coffee and a Strudel outside on the terrace. Service was pleasant, and the Strudel very nice. One comment though: like quite many east European luxury hotels, staff were not trained enough to radiate cheerfulness and helpfulness.
