Everyone at this resort treated us with the utmost respect. We enjoyed it so much that we became members. So very glad thatvwe did as the upgraded restaurants were fantastic

This was a wonderful experience, being treated like a VIP was new to me. There were a few fixes w/Room, however they were taken care of quickly

The buffets were good, had themes and good variety. Some of the restaurants that didn't need reservations had long waits.

Beach peddlers and their hasslers trying to sell something every step I took when my goal was to relax on vacation. Pros: They had working elevators. There were working water refill stations throughout the resort

The staff was friendly despite language barrier. Easy access to beach location. Special shout out to Andre outside the Disco at the bar for providing top notch service

It's our second stay in the property and we loved every second of it. Stuff is always ready to help with a genuine smile on their faces.

Join into every interactive activity you can. So much fun! We also enjoyed the nightly shows. Classes inside are also decent. The pool is good and the beach nice. Unfortunately, not enough chairs at either so go early

Unfortunately the 1st 3 days we were there I was told there were no reservations available our entire stay at either of the 2 available indoor restaurants. This was from the Dominicana customer sevice desk

Food was fine/ok at the buffet. My favorite was the local Dominican food served like their rice, beans, platanos etc. Best to grab freshly made foods at the chef stations like omeletes, meats, churros

We did have the chance to eat at the Siblia restaurant and had really great steaks. There we had a fantastic birthday celebration for my teen daughter

Their french fries are delicious! Fresh fruit and juices are excellent. Everything else was just okay. We pretty much ate the same thing everyday

You have to reserve this with customer service desk 24 hours prior and pay $35 for a cake

Best Beach Club around!! In the Italian area of DR!! The scenery is the BEST!! GREAT PIÑA COLADA!!

Amazing place to stay! The waterfront area is so beautiful with all of the infinity pools and there’s plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The rooms were clean and had a huge balcony (3 bedroom penthouse)

just be careful when entering the ocean on the ladders!! many sea urchins there and our friend stepped on one and we had to go to the hospital, but luckily the hotel staff helped us with where to go and how

The grounds had gorgeous plants and flowers everywhere. The restaurant was delicious and the staff were always kind

We visited Tracadero Beach Club with my family just for a day pass, and it was definitely the perfect place

Negative - this is not a hotel that has 24 concierge, no restaurants open after 9pm, I felt horrible because I booked it same day and staff had to come back and get us situated, (staff was awesome)

The staff amd service are wonderful! Its a beautiful venue with gorgeous scenery and in a great spot. Waking distance from 2 beaches and lots of good food and nightlife around.

The hotel is a lot more run down than the pictures suggest, however it was very clean and the hotel staff were very kind. You might want to bring your own towels because they have a shortage

The warm welcome of the front desk , follow by a beautiful stunning suite, very clean ,sheets and towels had a fresh clean smell, i went for one night and decided to stay another one , fell in love with this place, thank you to all the staff , definitely will be back soon

Wonderful hotel with super friendly staff. It's right on the beach, easy parking in front. Very central, short walk to stores and restaurants. Great breakfast buffet but you also have a kitchen

It was the best part of our trip, we felt so welcome, the staff at the desk, the huge smile of the doorman, the managers and the ladies in the breakfast area, the pool was clean even after rainy days, we would love to go back next year

Good location in Las Terrance. Can walk to restaurants, groceries, and liquor store and taxi service is next door. The resort is noisy from the street though

Service was great, friendly, and they answered any question I had as well as helped out with all of my requests, appreciate the help of the staff! Parking was easy, across the street where the restaurant is located which is also where the beach is located, fairly convenient

The reception staff were friendly, but the people working at the beach restaurant were incredibly slow, inattentive, and careless: you had to ask them to serve you or prepare your food because they never had anything ready

Let’s start off by saying entertainment team, beach and pool reserved restaurants are good! Now the rooms are humid do not drink the filtered water I got extremely sick as well as many others at the resort they gatekeep the water bottles and won’t provide it to you at all!!! Front desk is very stand off ish and rude the rooms have bugs buffet food nasty just overall wouldn’t go back again would go...

This hotel is a great all inclusive hotel. Many options they have events all day long to keep you entertained. It’s located on the beach and a taxi ride away from the umbrella street

food everywhere and many many activities for adults and kids, staff was very nice had no problems my stay was great, loved that the balcony of the room had a place to hang clothes for after you get out the pool, would definitely visit again it was fun

There was a lot of thought and effort that was put in for the guest to enjoy themselves. It seems to me that the resort takes good care of its employees and it shows. I would stay here again without hesitation

Usually I don’t care for all inclusive resort food, but I really really enjoyed the food here. Everything was flavorful and abundant. We stayed for New Year’s Eve and it was done very very nicely

However, the staff fixed everything quickly, and after that, it was smooth sailing. The room was perfect—very clean and comfortable—and they even had an extra bed ready for my son

We had a fabulous 2 nights stay! The room was spacious, well decorated beachie vibe, spacious balcony, updated throughout. The beach club was awesome with gorgeous amenities and the beach is stunning

There is no iron, and only one spot to place bottles and soaps in the shower i was only able to fit one soap and one bottle and had to place my razor shampoos and comb on the floor

Drinks, especially the Margaritas was awesome!! Thxs to all the wonderful staff you made our stay memorable

The information/ communication needs to get better, if I’m coming to a new place I expect the employee that you see the most have basic information on what tours they offer, time, cost, or if you don’t want to talk, has brochures ready to handle to the new guest

Sell what you have , at every turn. The rooms needs maintenance a/c got condensed on the first day , if you dropped them under 26 it gets condensed and started leaking

They arranged taxi services for us, and the housekeeping team was incredible—going above and beyond each day to keep our room spotless. There are lots of great restaurants and drinks just steps away

It is a little expensive but I am happy to pay for the convenience of fresh food and not having to go out. I've met the manager several times. She is a delightful lady who keeps a careful eye on all details

Outside doors and gates are well monitored. Santo Domingo is a tough town. I appreciate is that the Tropicana is a safe haven where we can relax and recharge for a very reasonable charge

This is the fourth time in five years that I've stayed at this hotel. We always take one of the "budget" rooms. They're not fancy but they are quiet, clean, comfortable, and secure

The pool is fantastic, there are places to sit outside, nice gardens, the staff are friendly and professional. There is an onsite restaurant which is serves good but basic food

I enjoyed the hotel breakfast, fresh made. The hotel is on the beach and the staff makes sure you have drinks and food if needed. The beach was beautiful, but you will get asked if you want a massage several times a day

Great Juneteenth stay The location of the stay was perfect, literally steps from the beach--we were thankful for that. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff is A-1

3- to keep a good amount of Coke Zero available. The place felt like I was visiting my old relatives' house. So cozy, perfectly decorated and the cleanliness was impecable! I'll definitely stay there my next trip to DR

LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!The room was perfect, the treatment made me feel like a princess! I only have 3 suggestions: 1- to put a handle on the pool. 2- to have more "criollo" menu options

The only problem I can say there is with the place, is the size of the beds. If you're on the smaller side, you have nothing to worry about

The first room (penthouse) was so majestic, elegant, big, spacious and the view 🤩🤩 the kitchen was also big and the sofa so cool!! And the second room (I left the hotel to went to Las Terrenas before I came back at Velero Beach Hotel) was tiny but useful, and the view so beautiful ! I recommend this hotel !

Although the restaurant is under renovation they provided a very nice breakfast in the gardens. Great room overlooking the water. Very close to groceries and walkable to most of the restaurants.

Room: large, but therefore room is hot and does not have a large enough ac unit to cool entire room and bathroom. Bathroom clean, large shower. Beautiful pool and beach setting, restaurant decent and staff nice

This hotel was a great find, in my opinion, very affordable, clean rooms fabulous staff, wonderful pool area, the restaurant was not open at the time, but they still did serve your free breakfast in the morning, which was delicious! Would definitely book here again!

You have the beach in front of you, with palm trees all around, it almost seems it belongs only to you, no crowds and super clean. I would say it's a hidden treasure

Warning to tourists - the men pushing you towards tables are scammers! We were charged more than $300 for a simple lunch and it was NOT optional, not a safe situation. It’s a nice beach but bring your own food!

If you are looking for real Dominican Republic atmosphere with friendly people, this Hostel would be good for you, very friendly staff in Hotel, they doing their best, tasty, tasty breakfast, Little bit problem with booking and expectations room could be different from , which you are booked and the price little little different too , but in general good

Wonderful hotel with all the amenities and location that Amy visitor to la Romana could ask for. Centrally located, excellent staff cater to you personally. The owners are always on site and very helpful.

I can definitely recommend this place

The hotel needs a complete restoration. Do not expect a spa, or Jacuzzi. It's only a quiet place to sleep in for a couple of days, and go outside after breakfast. They need to redecorate the place

We booked a night at Hostal Simona, because we spontaneously decided to stay in La Romana. The pictures looked fine and the price was fair (AND included breakfast)

The lady at the reception was super nice, very helpful (and spoke perfect English). She even offered us a cup of coffee during check in. I was sad we couldn't stay longer, but I hope to be able to visit soon again

The animation is very good, prizes are given for participating in competitions. Friendly, funny and kind animators, I especially liked Keila. Night show is worthy and interesting

Great resort! Good value. Lots to do while you are there. Beach is beautiful. Pool is great. All the bartenders are amazing, talented and attentive.

The private beach was a dream – complete with day beds, crystal-clear water, and plenty of space to relax. The pools were stunning too – perfect for both families and adults looking to unwind

A small heads-up: the hotel is a bit far from the airport and the city center. We had a rental car, so it wasn't an issue for us, but I didn’t see a shuttle service offered, which could be inconvenient for some guests

Whether you're craving international cuisine or local flavors, the options are endless and delicious. The in-house entertainment was top-notch, with plenty of activities and shows every day and night

Outside the hotel was a litttle underdeveloped and the walk down to the beach was okay but didn’t feel totally safe as a tourist at night. During the day it's fine though

I recommend the restaurant at the property they have brick oven pizza and other good dishes(if you go on the weekend make a reservation) the waiter that take care of us was very knowledgeable of the menu really make me feel at home, after a long day at the beach which is a walkable distance came back to relax by the pool, for my luck he was at the bar good cocktails

Nearby public beach is fine, a bit small and crowded on a Thurs evening, but clean enough and nice sand/water

They don't change towels daily, you have to keep asking for them to do it and it took them two days to do it, you have to pay for the electricity bill and the food isn't very varied.

I stay with my son on 2/21/25, the lady at the front desk was very professional (couldn’t get her name unfortunately) she explain everything on the contract, she even came to show me the room, and told me what is around the area

Everything Was good except de freezer of the kitchen.

Calvin was one of the security team staff and he was awesome. They entire staff went out of their way to acknowledge you. I was expecting more lounge chairs on the beach though

So much that we are returning in 2 months. We love that we can walk the beach to our fav little beach spots and there are 2 grocery stores within a 10 minute walk

It does say private beach but there were people from neighbouring apartment/condo buildings using them which I found odd

I would have been upset if there weren’t any free to use because of that but we didn’t run into that this trip but I could see it happening. We are not new to staying in Cabarete but this was our favourite stay so far

We had difficulty with the safe and the tv. He came back to our room immediately to try to remedy the problem. Hopefully they did get the safe fixed for the next guests

The new Janet’s plus is very nice and closer than the original Janet’s. We look forward to our return trip and are sure it won’t be our last at Ultravioleta

We LOVED this property and hope to stay there again! The ONLY issue we had is with trash/litter … the property itself is very clean but the areas around the property have litter & trash and even some on the beaches and sand areas in front of the property

Natura Cabana is ALWAYS wonderful. Our stay was beautiful, relaxing and so fun. Their staff is amazing, friendly and super helpful. Gorgeous location and unique cabanas. We love it!

Great place for a 'get away from it all vacation'. lots of yoga meditation and massage available here also good just to visit the fantastic restaurants directly on a semi private beach. Great food reasonable prices

You have to carry chairs down from the upper area to the beach, which is not convenient. This hotel really deserves better beach chairs for the guests

My stay was great from the moment of arrival. Leonor ( front desk staff) es la mejor! Beach area was great and close to everything you need. Great place for breakfast steps away from property.

lots of other beach front options with better selection and cheaper. There was quite a bit of construction going on so it was super loud in the mornings at odd hours

(Worth paying for vs all inclusive IMO) There is also staff watching over your things at the beach front when you’re swimming so it feels safe

The other reviews saying you must go outside to the side to go to the restaurant/beach/pool is true so I might avoid the busy weekends

The front desk stage was very polite and atrentive to all the needs. The butler was excellent. The waiter outstanding especially the guy at the restaurant called El Barón he was outstanding in his service
