Feels lime after renovation! Both room and decor was fresh and brand new. Pool view is amazing! Beach is just few steps and they show you personal umbrella and loungers

The pool is great, short walk to beautiful beach. No hot water on the island

There are 4 bars on the beach, so many options for drinks and food. In resort territory there are 5 restaurants but better options if walkin the town. I can recommend Trebol restaurant

Great place to visit. Go to the waterfalls and make sure you take the horse. It's a heck of a walk. Up and down hills

There was no facility to put soap or shampoo in the bathroom, the battery in the TV remote control ended its life and emitted acid, the sink's tap in the bathroom was out of order, it was stuck on very hot water, without pissibility to adjust the temperature of the water

Big apartment but empty with some rooms that are not even finished. Comfortable beds. Big kitchen but not even a single tea or coffee bag. Lot of noise from the outside and some windows cant be closed fully.

The animation is very good, prizes are given for participating in competitions. Friendly, funny and kind animators, I especially liked Keila. Night show is worthy and interesting

Great resort! Good value. Lots to do while you are there. Beach is beautiful. Pool is great. All the bartenders are amazing, talented and attentive.

The private beach was a dream – complete with day beds, crystal-clear water, and plenty of space to relax. The pools were stunning too – perfect for both families and adults looking to unwind

A small heads-up: the hotel is a bit far from the airport and the city center. We had a rental car, so it wasn't an issue for us, but I didn’t see a shuttle service offered, which could be inconvenient for some guests

Whether you're craving international cuisine or local flavors, the options are endless and delicious. The in-house entertainment was top-notch, with plenty of activities and shows every day and night

Great friendly people, food was great, the entertainment was great. Our excursions that they offered (for an extra cost) were out of this world fantastic. Swimming with dolphins taking ATVs all over the country side

I would not consider this an English-friendly resort. Most workers do not know any English, this includes service staff and even security officers. This made ordering, checking in, and generally asking for help difficult

Being able to also use the Iberostar Waves Dominicana (Iberostar's other resort) made this vacation even better. It was nice being able to use their facility as well (pools, bars, restaurants, nightly entertainment, etc

We have a terrace room, and the lounger is one of the best spots to relax with a bit of privacy. The pools and grounds are very well kept

Pools were wonderful but could have been a bit warmer (ocean was actually warmer than the pools). The beach was great for long walks

The grounds are beautiful as well as the beach. They do a wonderful job at keeping the beach clean which is very evident walking on the beach past the Iberostar and seeing how the other resorts keep their beaches

My favorites were people like Rosi, Adonis, Eddy and more! The pool was nice and refreshing and there are many places to wonder around to in the hotel

Amenities in the hotel were excellent. Staff did an amazing job ( specially one guy, Eliecer)

The batting cage was not serviceable and there is a basketball rim, but no where to bounce the ball as it is on grass. I would offer that pilots stay here. This is in a gated area with security

To have a guest come into the property they must have a valid ID. The drinks are served in small cups so you need to have 2 because you'll drink the first one fast

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are so beautiful, and the pool was sparkling clean. A must is going for a bike ride around the property

It was inconvenient getting service even though it seemed I was the only guest because bar areas were closed, and often hadd to find someone to provide me a drink

Outside the hotel was a litttle underdeveloped and the walk down to the beach was okay but didn’t feel totally safe as a tourist at night. During the day it's fine though

I recommend the restaurant at the property they have brick oven pizza and other good dishes(if you go on the weekend make a reservation) the waiter that take care of us was very knowledgeable of the menu really make me feel at home, after a long day at the beach which is a walkable distance came back to relax by the pool, for my luck he was at the bar good cocktails

Rooms were clean but a bit dated and standard hotel grade couch, beds. Pool was nice, the hotel restaurant was very good but expensive

Nearby public beach is fine, a bit small and crowded on a Thurs evening, but clean enough and nice sand/water

I stay with my son on 2/21/25, the lady at the front desk was very professional (couldn’t get her name unfortunately) she explain everything on the contract, she even came to show me the room, and told me what is around the area

Real stunning view to the ocean. Nice spacious rooms and a good breakfast included. But not quiet: Noise from the street and noise also from the nightclub. Can’t recommend the 12th floor

Our room had a wonderful sea view, the breakfast was amazing, and the rooftop was beautiful. We honestly didn’t want to leave — we felt so good in this hotel! We will definitely come back again

The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, the breakfast was solid and enjoyable, and there’s even a nightclub inside the hotel

I ended up staying at Hotel Maewald during a really stressful situation. My passport was stolen in Punta Cana and I had to go to Santo Domingo to visit the embassy

We stayed two nights at Mauad Hotel with my family and had the best time. The staff was incredibly kind and gave us such a warm welcome

Calvin was one of the security team staff and he was awesome. They entire staff went out of their way to acknowledge you. I was expecting more lounge chairs on the beach though

So much that we are returning in 2 months. We love that we can walk the beach to our fav little beach spots and there are 2 grocery stores within a 10 minute walk

It does say private beach but there were people from neighbouring apartment/condo buildings using them which I found odd

I would have been upset if there weren’t any free to use because of that but we didn’t run into that this trip but I could see it happening. We are not new to staying in Cabarete but this was our favourite stay so far

We had difficulty with the safe and the tv. He came back to our room immediately to try to remedy the problem. Hopefully they did get the safe fixed for the next guests

The new Janet’s plus is very nice and closer than the original Janet’s. We look forward to our return trip and are sure it won’t be our last at Ultravioleta

This hotel is on Duarte and El Conde, which is where the tourists action is! Great value for the price. If I could give feedback to Management, it would be to deodorize the entire property so it won't smell old

Nice hotel for the price. Note that 24 hour shuttle advertised in ******* is NOT free. This was not disclosed to us until we arrived at the airport. This may be more an issue of ******* than the hotel.

This historic hotel is a bit dated but that's the whole point of a historic landmark! The rooms are super spacious and clean. The staff was professional and warm

The hotel also offers peace and quiet at night when the streets are often quite loud. The close walk to the beaches and nightlife were also an added perk

I can’t say enough about the laundry service. It was a first for us and for the price, well worth it. Frank and his family’s presence made you feel the connection between him and his staff

We LOVED this property and hope to stay there again! The ONLY issue we had is with trash/litter … the property itself is very clean but the areas around the property have litter & trash and even some on the beaches and sand areas in front of the property

Great place for a 'get away from it all vacation'. lots of yoga meditation and massage available here also good just to visit the fantastic restaurants directly on a semi private beach. Great food reasonable prices

You have to carry chairs down from the upper area to the beach, which is not convenient. This hotel really deserves better beach chairs for the guests

He helped me manage dealing with the local police and extended our stay to ensure we were comfortable and able to handle this stressful situation as smoothly as possible. The rooms were clean and had hot water

The view is gorgeous for sure but the staff is also super friendly and willing to help! The breakfast is great and the staff team also sets up bbq on the roof for weekend days, which makes the atmosphere even cozier

I just wish I had more time in samana to explore before I had to leave. Big thanks to all the staff and owner here for the help. Anyone traveling to samana will be in good hands here

The owner of the hotel is absolutely accommodating and amazing. My rental car got hit by a motorcyclist while parked in front of the hotel

The Residence is secure and very convenient to the main motorway, the beach, and the local supermarket. Has its own good sized pool and only a few miles drive from the Santo Domingo airport

I was able to checkout an hr later to allow time for rest. Great directions on choosing restaurant down restaurant row which is just 3 min walk & 10 min walk to the Beautiful Boca Chica beach

It's right across the street from the beach. And there are restaurants within walking distance, although the one I ate at was a little overpriced. The hot water didn't get warm, so I took a cold shower

It was very close to the beach. The toilet was an issue the ac spilled water not a little but puddles the whole bed got wet. Other then that it was cool

lots of other beach front options with better selection and cheaper. There was quite a bit of construction going on so it was super loud in the mornings at odd hours

Lovely, peaceful campus and comfortable, airy room. A range of hammocks, tables, and lounge chairs to hang out throughout the property. My kids loved jumping from the high platform into the pool

The beach is stunningly gorgeous - note that there are a lot of rocks underfoot in the water and the waves are intense so bring sturdy water shoes if you plan to swim

There are beautiful walking paths along the beach through mangroves and through rocky outcroppings. Much chiller and nature-focused than the beach at Cabarete

The lodge was very rustic and sort of charming. However, it could use some serious TLC. The room we stay in was in serious need of repair and furniture. The pool and jacuzzi were not in working order

The best part was the “wild” beach and dinner by it! My friend and I had a great time! A night or two there would be recommended

This is our third visit to Las Terranes and likely to poorest shape the beach was in. We don't hold that against the hotel since the beach is not privately owned and no one can control the stormy weather

We felt it was easier to just deal with it than try to get it fixed. The location was perfect for us since we had friends staying in a house just down the road. The beach is just over the street

Great friendly staff. We got the big suite with a private jacuzzi. Great amount of space and we had about 7 people us. It’s a perfect location. Right in front of the beach and local restaurants.

Great beach access. The lower cost rooms are basic. In general, it does not seem like customer service is a high priority anywhere in DR.

Absolutely fell inlove with the place as soon as i got here. The staff here is so welcoming and quick. My vacation here was suppose to be 5 days but extended it to another week because of how much i love it here
