Bella Vida Hotel was a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the location was a big plus. It is less than a five minute walk to the beach, and there are plenty of great stores and food options nearby. Overall, it was a convenient, comfortable place to stay and I would definitely stay here again

I booked one night with Hotel Bella Vida, in hopes of extending my reservation. Upon arrival I was disappointed when there was no staff for over 20 minutes, then I was told to go up 3 flights of stairs with 3 bags of luggage and no help from the employee. Then the lock was disabled and I was told I cannot use a key or the passcode and to leave my door cracked open when stepping out which made me very uncomfortable.The hotel clearly was vacant but still they forced me to the top floor. It gets worse... Frank the partial owner deceived and lied to me when he said this room would be unavailable to extend and the only room he has was a 2 bed for double the price. No one ever showed up to stay in the room , Frank just used his shady business tactics to squeeze me into a more expensive room. Your lies and deception will not last Frank the partial owner of Hotel Bella Vida. NOT RECCOMEND. *Response to owners reply* Your an awful narcissistic liar. I've met little kids that can lie better than you. In the picture below you can see that the owner was aware of the code not working, and also gave very creepy vibes when he offered club reccomendations and said he'd might be back in February, not sure why this information is relevant to a temporary guest at your so called hotel. We had an amazing stay at this hotel! It's perfectly located just a short walk from the beach, which was super convenient for us. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the hotel overall had a fresh and clean feel. The staff was welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. Very nice location and staff are very helpful. Not all of them speak English but they’re very helpful with the help of Google translate you can communicate. The cleanliness standard isn’t excellent but to a fair standard. Bed super comfy and I had complimentary water in the fridge which was much appreciated. I’ve seen other reviews mention that there’s a swimming pool but the reception staff told me there isn’t one? Overall cheap price and you get a fairly good standard for what you’re paying for. & 5 mins walk from the beach. It rained so it was very muddy on the street outside so a mat would’ve been appreciated in the property to clean my sandals but that is not completely necessary.

I made a reservation for 3 rooms for 3 couples. When we arrived at the hotel on Wednesday night, the lobby staff told us that there are no rooms available after having paid 270 dollars. We waited 1 hour while they were trying it to get us a room and without any result, we had to go out to look for another hotel at 1 AM (midnight) , in a city where everything was full. The hotel didn’t care about our safety. - Hice una reserva de 3 habitaciones para 3 parejas. Cuando llegamos al hotel el miércoles por la noche, el personal del lobby nos dijo que no había habitaciones disponibles después de haber pagado 270 dólares. Esperamos 1 hora mientras intentaban conseguirnos una habitación y sin resultado, tuvimos que salir a buscar otro hotel a la 1 de la madrugada, en una ciudad donde estaba todo lleno. Al hotel no le importaba nuestra seguridad.

Bella Vida Hotel is a great place to stay. The cost is very affordable and includes free wifi and breakfast daily. The rooms have a private balcony and the roof top has an amazing view all around.
Breakfast was brought to our room between 9 and 9:30 each morning allowing us to enjoy eating on the balcony or in the small kitchenette.
The staff is very friendly and anytime we needed ice or more toiletries, they were always quick to provide it.
Bella Vida is in the perfect location. With only a 4 minute walk to the beach in one direction and several restaurants and bars in the other direction.
We will definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Punta Cana.

What makes this a 5 star is Maxo. He is the receptionist, but pretty much manages the hotel. He made my stay GREAT! Maxo is the 5 star of the entire stay. I booked for 2 months, I stayed for one. The owner compensated me for $150 dollars (the cost of three days). I was very disappointed with the owner of the hotel who did not provide any real and true customer service. Admittedly, I did break a mirror which I was more than willing to fix, however, he provided only a little time to do so while I was sick and couldn’t go shopping to fix it. He wanted money more than clients (I had friends who wanted to stay in los corales but they chose not to stay at Tomasol after I described the experience and chose another hotel). I can recommend CORAL VILLAGE for an excellent stay. Unfortunately the owner of tomasol was inattentive and inconsiderate. Ducassi is very close, Tropicana is affordable, el dorado is not bad. MAXO is excellent and worth a great review. I am not reviewing maxo but I am reviewing the owner. The hotel has a good location, accommodations are not disappointing, however, the experience with the owner is unpleasant. He seems to want money more than anything else. I do not recommend Tomasol or Tomar the owner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAXO !!! If he owned and managed the hotel, I could highly recommend it! After leaving the hotel, the owner asked me to come back for a cheaper price. Please research and keep other options in mind !!! Enjoy punta cana the beaches are excellent! If you want to stay here, come talk to maxo first! Do not book online ... do not be disappointed!

Excellent services, beach, supermarkets and restaurant nearby, super clean, and the attentions of its employees very good, mainly Mr. Rafael de la Cruz, very attentive at all times. If you want a quiet and pleasant place, they can visit it.

Not very professional. When I arrived, it was obvious that they had overbooked, but the manager made excuses about a broken pipe that needed cleaning or some nonsense. They stuck me in a downstairs room, that was loud, very poor security, mosquitoes coming in at night, and nothing but a glass door opening right onto the road. I left halfway through the reservation.

Terrible service. I went based on a review because I was tired jf resort food. I was already mad because I paid $30 for a 6 mile roundtrip ride and then had to pay for nasty food. I asked for grouper and plantains. They placed salad in the box with the grouper so it was soggy. So I spent $40 for some mess

Very cheap restaurant with local food. Service is friendly and nice. Portions are good, but if you are looking for a fancy place, this is a no go.

It was interesting to try typical local food - was quite good but don't put your expectations too high - it's very simple.

Prices are very low compared to all the other places in the area - for 2 portions of rice+beans+chicken we payed 400 DOP.

Ps. It is the only place I visited in Punta Cana that shows final price in the menu :)
