The room was in good condition but the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell that was very disturbing and gave me a bad headache, even with the bathroom door closed. I reported it to reception so I hope they do something about it.

A good choice if you want a city centre location for a couple of nights, I chose it because it was close to Ramsis Railway Station... Problem arises because there are no external signs to tell you where it is and also one of the photos of it is not of the correct building but one across the other side of the ''square'', luckily one of the local shop keepers recognised the name and pointed me back...

Great location. Clean, functional, very comfortable. All you need as a base. Friendly staff that very helpful with any request. continental style breakfast. Bathroom was clean and air-conditioning working fine.

Location is very good, walking distance to Tahir Sq. wanted somewhere to sleep for a few hours and have a shower as my flight landed at 3am. So it was for that sole purpose. Got what I paid for and thus cannot complain. Do not have high expectations, this place is a hotel only by name. Arrived at 4am and check out at 11am. 

Room small in downtown. Nearby so many restaurants and shops. Easy to go everywhere

The hotel us in center, but need to search for the address carefully, the place is near everything , have small lift, it's OK for one to 2 nights but not longer as u can hear the voices of pple, and the toilet makes a bad smell

Well located, on a street with a lot of atmosphere and food and metro areas. Also in the room you can't hear the noise from the street. They upgraded me to have a private bathroom, even though it was really small. Reception staff my friendly. Normal cleaning

It's a boutique hotel at an excellent location at Cairo city centre. If it wasn't for the dirty and dangerous building entrance I would have given it four stars. The place is not suitable for old people and families with kids. The room is spacious and clean. It overlooks the city main road, however, the ceiling is peeled and unhealthy. Good hotel, excellent location in the center of the country, for a stay for two or three days

The staff is a bit too uncooperative, each floor has one landline to the reception and the 2nd floor line isn't working. Ordering anything from the reception is challenging and once you order there's a huge chance they won't do it. Other than the staff the hotel is clean, quaint and spacious.

Sanaa is really helpfull and this hotel very cheap although location city center. You can stay this hotel. If you look quality and comfortable , go Hilton with a lot of money 😀

Many times coming to Cairo, and this time also been staying in Downtown inn. Thank you gues, the room is very clean,air condition good, bathroom is clean and has a hot water, towels are available. It was truly a great hotel! The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooftop was amazing, with a direct view of the three pyramids! The food was delicious. The only problem with our room was that it was on the fifth floor with no elevator.

The place has a facilty of AC but the AC water like is collected in bottles within the room. It has a slow WiFi. Rooms are not that clean. The beds are uncomfortable. Its on the fifth floor with no elevator. The management is cooperative. But its better than alot of hotels in downtown

These guys are scammers!!! They let us paid €100 for 3 person for Alexandria daily tour. The tour guide was boring. The route to alexandria and back was scary. The driver was watching a movie and was driving slow. He was driving 80 km/h on a 120 km/h route. The hotel is well located in the centre of Cairo. If you have to do some sightseeing all day, the rooms are fine for sleeping and that's it. There is not much noise. It has a nice terrace where they serve a good breakfast.

Loved this old hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner, Mr. Nabila, is a wealth of information on all things Egypt. He can also arrange tours and travel. The location in old downtown Cairo is ideal. Room was neat and tidy. A few mosquitos so I would bring a net depending on your level of tolerance.

Golden Hotel is a great place in midtown Cairo. I booked for 4 nights initially. I liked this comfortable hotel and its very friendly staff, so I decided to stay for whole duration of my visit to Egypt - two months. Clean, convenient location, good rates, friendly helpful staff. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, with various breads, boiled eggs, cold cuts sausage, and stir-fried sausage. The fried eggplant tasted very similar to the Chinese dish "Di San Xian" (a stir-fry of potatoes, green peppers, and eggplant). I wonder if a Chinese chef taught them how to make it.

The location was nice. The hotel was average. Cleanliness is a general problem in the country.

I can only say Ctrip is truly something else. I booked a double room, but the hotel gave me a twin room. When I contacted Ctrip, they said there was nothing they could do? Has the Black Diamond membership become so unacceptable to Ctrip now?! The hotel room was too old, and the taxi directions were a bit off. Just look for this building in the Ctrip photos; that's the one.

The hotel is excellent, centrally located, with outstanding security personnel at the entrance. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning was good, the reception staff were helpful, the lighting was excellent, and the cleaning staff and the restaurant, especially the exceptional Fouad and his assistant, were outstanding. New Cairo heart hotel have a passionet team who facilitate your stay beyond your expectations. Good location and clean and the most smiling breakfast server woman I have met. The hotel isn't bad if you are looking g for a place to crash anf it is relatively cheap. They told me they offer better prices than online booking if you call them directly. So, maybe give them a call and see how the prices are.

Quite far from the city, but close to the Temple of Zeus, this local bed & breakfast is convenient for a night’s stay, if you plan on visiting the site, and the guys looking after it are welcoming. Though be warned that hot water is limited, even with the water heater that takes 20 minutes to warm up.

You can enjoy breakfast on the terrace with a view of the pyramids. If you choose a pyramid-view room, you can also see the pyramids from the terrace. Since it was winter, the heating was wonderfully warm, which was a great relief. All the staff at the hotel were very kind.

This is one of the best places I've stayed in,period! Great view on the Nile with very clean rooms and the service is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it for anyone who's staying in Cairo and want something not basic.
