Hotel Cleopatra, Luxor West Nank (not to be confused with Hotel Cleopatra in the East!) is run by a lovely Egyptian family. Mahmoud was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble - and the home-made Egyptian food is delicious! There is no lift, so I opted for a first floor room (my son’s on the 3rd floor was larger and quieter); the restaurant is on the roof anyway, so you do have 4 flights of stairs...
It was very quiet and nice.
There was a peaceful view outside.
I wanted to stay here forever. Both the room and the rooftop were cute.
The guesthouse owner provided excellent service and was very helpful in resolving any issues. Even though I was traveling alone as a woman, I felt very safe and secure there.
The rooftop offers panoramic views of the Valley of the Kings. I ate breakfast there every morning, which was quite good and filling (it included flatbread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, fries, fried beans, and black...
What I liked the most it was the kindness of Nasser, the owner of the place and also Mahmood that welcome us very warmly. Mahmood helped us with every excursion we did and cooked for us amazingly, making this experience truly traditional. We felt safe like family, even though we were 3 girls alone. We really found a place that for sure I would like to come back cause we found true friends there. In...
It's a beautiful hotel with beautiful hearts on the west bank of Luxor. It was a 20 min drive from the airport and 15 min drive from Karnak Temple. The view from the rooftop is amazing both morning and night! Great local breakfast too. The room was very clean and basic toiletries were provided.
It is located in the other part of the city, it is not clean, the bed and wardrobe are old, I do not recommend you to expect much, if you are going to sleep and go, it is reasonable.

Very kind staff and hostress, no push of trips and the room is really clean.
Very comfy spacious and cute place, great for photos taking!
The room was clean and hygienic, with a balcony. The towels were folded into a 🔥 shape, which was very nice. The sockets there were all Chinese-compatible, so no adapter was required, which was great.
This hotel is located on the west bank of Luxor. It is in a residential area, so it was very quiet. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. I highly recommend it.
The hotel is on the west bank of Luxor. You don’t need to get up early to go hot air ballooning in the morning. You don’t need to take a ferry to cross the Nile to go to the Valley of the Kings and Habu City. There were only a few of us, and the hotel staff were very welcoming to us. The hotel has a small garden and the environment is very quiet. However, the hotel's breakfast and a la carte are not...
The location is very good, just on the west bank of the Nile, very close to the Valley of the Kings, Habu City, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
The hotel is a typical Egyptian house with a beautiful and comfortable courtyard.
The boss and his staff are very welcoming and the service is attentive.

Most relaxing and comfortable hotel stay in Luxor. Beautiful Egyptian decor design along with wall murals, depicting Egyptian way of life, both ancient and present day. Location was good less than 10 minute walk to the Nile river where you can catch a public ferry to go to the east Bank side. Hotel staff and management were very accommodating, pleasant, helpful, and friendly. Delicious daily breakfast...
Pros: Lovely Egyptian Decor Hotel. Beautiful Egyptian wall murals and paintings throughout the common areas of the hotel. Several comfortable relaxing area to enjoy with little to no distractions. Walk to Nile River and can stroll along the riverfront walkway- corniche, though several...
What a friendly place. Very quiet, superfriendly staff, Nice swimming pool. Good price quality ratio. We Will be back!
The Hotel is really beautiful, it just too bad that the bedrooms are too small and there is a lot of flies… The breakfast is correct and good ! And they have a pool ! So nice !
It's a fantastic resort with a big area. But they are not professional. The room services are fantastic, but the manager had tried to make some business with us. When we denied it, he stopped talking to us 😢.
Dining is nice, especially the last day breakfast was very good.
Loved the hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly

Excellent hotel with a beautiful view. The staff were very welcoming and ready to help with anything.
We stayed at this hotel twice during one trip. We were traveling with our own car, so the location wasn't an issue for us. The staff were very responsive, and breakfast was served on the rooftop by the pool. We didn't use the pool as it was cold, but the view of the banana plantations and the Nile was amazing. One morning we overslept and missed breakfast, but they kindly served it to us anyway, even...
The hotel was rated 9.1 on *********** and marked as a five-star property. At the time, two nights were over 800 on Booking, but just over 700 on Ctrip, so I booked through Ctrip. Now, it's apparently only 170 per night!
Ctrip's three-star rating is more accurate; this is essentially a farmhouse in a village. It has a rooftop pool and is surrounded by palm trees, cows, sheep, and donkeys. Getting...

The biggest attraction of this hotel is its location, where you can see the city of Luxor and the Nile River from the rooftop restaurant.
If you ask the hotel manager, you can also take a "felucca" ride, which is about a 10-minute walk away.
However, if you value facilities, I would recommend other hotels.
The view of the Nile from the rooftop restaurant of this hotel is amazing. The Nile "Felucca" cruise that I asked the manager to arrange (15 minutes walk) was also an unforgettable memory.

We stayed 2 nights here whilst in Luxor. This is a beautiful, tranquil setting and a very pretty hotel design. The bed was comfortable, the shower good, and the gardens and pool area are lovely. There was a little shop just down the street from the hotel which was handy. Breakfast buffet had a good choice and we ate in the garden. They also do evening meals but we were not hungry enough to eat...
I was let down by a family member so I travelled by myself. I arrived at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and couldn't do enough for me. I took a few trips with the hotel's driver/guides. The prices were fair. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Karim and the staff really put me at ease. The room was lovely and clean. Very spacious. The shower was lovely and hot. The pool was very...
Lovely room, simple but delicious breakfast and very lovely staff. Great value for money.
This appealing mid-range hotel (price-wise) feels like a higher-end boutique property. A serene hotel on the west bank where you hear donkeys and cockerels rather than cars. The 10min walk to the ferry, whilst unpaved, is easy and I was able to park my rental car. Architecturally the property is fabulous, at night it looks like a little cathedral. Appealing garden, lovely pool. Great food. Large...
This hotel is a total oasis within the very basic surrounding area. It matches the online photos, definitely has lots of visual wow factor.
We were grateful for the simple daily breakfast supplied, wouldn't know where to find anything otherwise.

I loved this property and wish I could have stayed in Luxor for longer - I only stayed there for two days. The hotel is tiktok and instagram friendly so good for making travel content if that's what you are after. Hotel staff was friendly and helped me arrange my trip to banana island and the hotel airballoon ride.
Staff was always down to help whenever needed and would highly recommend this hotel...

Nice hotel, acceptable, a little noisy, it is on the road and the windows are not soundproof. However, we had a good time in the complex. Nice New Year's Eve dinner. The wi-fi does not work in the rooms, only in the hall. It is in the center and from the 5th floor from the window of the room you can see the street of the sphinxes.
Location is very good, easy to get to all amenities Hotel badly in need of refurbishment and some painting was being done leaving an overwhelming odour throughout. Located in a calm and pleasant neighbourhood in Luxor's west bank, the El Nakhil Hotel is a good find where one can stretch their legs and relax well after a tiring tour to the nearby places. Although the building was a bit old, it was well-cleaned and maintained, making it very tidy. The shower had no issues with hot water, which was very comfortable. I was very satisfied with everything.
In particular, Youssef, the owner (I think), was extremely kind.
If you're staying in Luxor, I can recommend this hotel without any reservations.
Everything was great! The hotel is very clean. It has a swimming pool. Also it has a restaurant on the roof. The food in restaurant is perfect, very good! People on the reception and in restaurant are very kind
Everything was wonderful! The staff is incredibly friendly, especially Youssef and Abdallah. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, and you can see how much care goes into keeping it nice. The hotel also has a pool with sun loungers available for guests, which is perfect after a day of exploring.

Authenticate hotel on the West Bank of Luxor. Lovely staff and great service. Location is just 2 mins walk from the Nile and an ideal location for all the West Bank hotspots like valley of the kings etc. Rooms are a little dated but air conditioned and clean. I loved retro vibe of it, definitely unique
The stay at Shadi Hotel was exceptional.
The staff were extremely friendly, and everyone offered help with genuine sincerity, not out of obligation. Mr. Abdullah, the hotel manager, personally followed up on the service regularly, which made us feel a strong sense of familiarity with both the place and the people.

It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. Perfect stay in a lovely hotel with a peaceful garden.
The host and staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and had 24-hour hot water.
The location is excellent—just a short walk from the Colossi of Memnon,
and ideal for watching the hot air balloons at sunrise.
A great place to stay with friendly service, restaurant facilities and swimming pool, they will organise drivers for you to see the sights and provide good advice on the best way to enjoy Luxor. We were very happy with the 2 days we stayed there
Honestly, it's a very nice hotel. The owner is very kind. The hot air balloons take off right next to the hotel, so you can take pictures in the morning. It's also very close to the Valley of the Kings and other attractions. It's a great place to take pictures in the morning when it's not too hot.
This was a very friendly and nice hotel.
Breakfast was also delicious.
I wanted to stay at a hotel where I could see the hot air balloons, so I chose this one. I was able to see a beautiful view from the rooftop, and I'm very satisfied.
There was no hair dryer in the room, so I didn't ask at reception, but I think it's best to ask about it in advance.
A very nice little country inn, clean and hygienic, with a warm and responsible owner. From the rooftop, you can see the Memnon statues, the Valley of the Kings, and wheat fields. It's within sight of the hot air balloon launch site; a morning walk along the country paths and gazing at the balloons is a sight that far exceeds expectations.
I guess that person is the owner; he's a very persistent guy. The breakfast was plentiful and healthy. The hotel is very close to the Valley of the Kings; a taxi ride costs 100 Egyptian kip. There were many foreign guests staying there, and the courtyard had a swimming pool with lots of birds. We got up very early and went to the Valley of the Kings, returning to the hotel around 8:00 AM to enjoy a...

Amazing location and great price. Room I stayed in was large with a fridge and spacious closet for your stuff. There's a restaurant upstairs with lots of good options for food. Perfect location to explore Luxor — you can easily walk or take short rides to all the main sites, which really helps you save on transport costs. Excellent value hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious and it had a beautiful position on the bank of the Nile. Also I can't speak highly enough of the staff, especially Osama. Basic hotel with a good location over looking the Nile. Rooms basic and had to ask for everything: towels, cleaning etc. Room cleaning did not always happen despite us asking. The free shuttle boat to and from the east coast is very convenient. We stayed for two days (we regretted staying at the Ibero Hotel on the east coast for the last three days), and the service was excellent! It's our favorite place in Luxor! Highly recommended!
If you're looking for the best hotel in Luxor, it's Geoffrey's Palace. The butler is excellent and very classy. Most importantly, the hotel is incredibly photogenic, with tasteful and aesthetically pleasing interior design. It's like a castle, and you can take a boat to the east bank; it's situated on the west bank of the Nile. The regular price isn't high, but it's truly beautiful.
Cleanliness: A very new hotel with a very comfortable overall environment. There are over 20 staff members for the 20 rooms.
Facilities: Comfortable and fully equipped.
Environment: The previous rooms were quite comfortable, very peaceful in the mornings and evenings.
Service: One of the breakfast staff members was very helpful and tipping is acceptable.
The hotel boasts distinctive decor, warm service, beautiful architecture, exclusive Nile River views, a private dock and ferry terminal, but its location is somewhat remote and not very convenient to access by taxi.
The hotel is beautiful, but the cleanliness could be improved. The service was good, and if the hygiene were a bit better, it would be perfect! It's a hotel many people would want to experience. I've been wanting to stay here for over three years, and today I finally got to stay.
We had an excellent stay at Djorff Palace on the peaceful West bank of Luxor. The hotel is beautifully crafted with large spacious rooms (many with balconies over looking the Nile). We had a great welcome from the owner and staff which made us feel right at home. We would definitely return if in Egypt again.

This is my favourite place in Luxor. We spent 10 days in Luxor and loved this hotel. The facilities are brilliant and the staff are wonderful. There were only stairs, but the hotel staff helped us. The room was a little small, and the toilet and shower were too close. The food on the rooftop was great!!
An incredible choice for Luxor, clean, terrific location for sites & market, unbelievably helpful staff, fantastic views from the restaurant. Their taxi service to the airport is one of the cheapest, safest and most reliable around. Budget $2-$3 for someone to take your bags to your room, as there is no lift. Highly recommended!

The hostel is very nice for the orice what you get woth breakfest included is more than good. The location is very busy during the day with a lot of street vandors and bazars.
Passable for a budget stay. Not many hotels in that same road.
This hostel in Luxor was just a few minutes from Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, which made sightseeing very easy. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. One guide he arranged for us behaved very badly with some girls in our group, and the host immediately took responsibility, complained about the guide, and refunded our money. He also helped us book tours and always spoke politely...
The rooftop was very comfortable.
The room was just the right size.
It had a bathtub and was very comfortable.
However, it was noisy outside until late at night.
The host is friendly and nice, public areas nice, I enjoyed my breakfast there!
The bathroom was a bit embarrassing, and the location is a little bit distance, it’s very difficult to get Uber or inDrive to there, be aware if you have big luggage.

We were treated very well by the staff and they were very accommodating to our needs. They provided a warm breakfast. The hotel is basic, but a more authentic Egyptian experience.
This hotel is an oasis and one of the loveliest places I have stayed. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Egypt. The food was delicious, the rooms clean and quiet, the staff extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. I was always met with a smile. Our guide was knowledgeable and took us around the great sites of Luxor and beyond. And after a busy day visiting sites, which are all in...
I think the decoration of the room is average
The overall environment is okay.
Nice hotel, good service, small room, acceptable
Just ok
There were several inconveniences
Room had no heat
There was leak in toilet
Breakfast just ok
They gave a small soap for 2 nights
Don’t expect a lot.
Very friendly family driven Hotel. Good safe food. Nice garden and pool area. They have a guide at the hotell. They have a meditation room and it is great for groups on sight seeing and for spiritual work. The energy is calm and relaxed. I will give my best recommandation

Luxor, Medinet Habou, West Bank (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location of this accommodation is really great, especially if you want to visit several temples in Luxor. Many of the main sights are nearby, which makes exploring the city very convenient.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always helpful and kind. The food was also very good and well prepared, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would...
Owners hospitality is incredible. Would highly recommend this hotel & will be coming back.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel on the West Bank. After the hustle and bustle of the East Bank, this was the perfect tranquil retreat. The hotel is remarkably spotless and clean.
What made our stay special was the owner. Unlike many experiences in Luxor, he was never pushy and always incredibly polite and helpful. He personally took care of every detail and made us feel genuinely...
Surprisingly clean though bldg shows signs of aging. While it's far, this works out as your perfect point if your focus is exploring lesser known West Banks tomb but more enchanting like Habu Temple, Medina and Valley of Queens.breakfast, price and customer service are all top notch too
The host Mohamed is the best, breakfast at 3am, no problem.
Nice place for the people who don't like the five stars hotel but looking for something more simple, the atmosphere is very nice, the staff is kind and helpful. Nice situation
