Happy Land Luxor in Luxor

The hostel is very nice for the orice what you get woth breakfest included is more than good. The location is very busy during the day with a lot of street vandors and bazars.

This hostel in Luxor was just a few minutes from Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, which made sightseeing very easy. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. One guide he arranged for us behaved very badly with some girls in our group, and the host immediately took responsibility, complained about the guide, and refunded our money. He also helped us book tours and always spoke politely. Truly excellent service.

The rooftop was very comfortable.

The room was just the right size.

It had a bathtub and was very comfortable.

However, it was noisy outside until late at night.

This hostel is really great value for the money. The staff easily helped arrange a tour even in low season. Breakfast every morning is healthy and fresh. Rooms good solid ac. It’s in a convenient location, close to a local street where you can get affordable prices on foods and such. Away from tourist prices. Highly recommend staying here.

Very cool hostel. Great vibe and great location. Rooms are neat and tidy, very hot at end of May but the A/C in rooms makes it bearable. Rooftop is really cool and a decent breakfast. Staff are also very friendly and will help with anything and they also offer very good prices on tours for temples, hot air balloons etc, far cheaper than get your guide etc

It is clean above the price range, so you should not feel uncomfortable.

The beds and futons are clean. There were no bed bugs, and I have not heard of any such things.

[Location]
It is conveniently located in an alley in downtown.

It is about a 10-minute walk from Luxor Station, so access is good.

*It may feel dangerous because it is a dimly lit alley, but it is not dangerous because only locals and children are staying there.

There is a little noise because children play with firecrackers, but if Cairo is 10, this hostel is about 2.

[Service]
Many of the staff understand English and communication is easy.

They are used to arranging tours, so if you actively use them, you should be able to have a fruitful stay.

*Depending on the number of participants, the hotel mates will arrange tours for you, so there are many opportunities to make friends through tours.

[Amenities/Facilities]
The shared bathroom is inconvenient because it is integrated with the toilet, but there are many in the hotel, so there is no waiting.

*Hot water is available. Soap is not provided, but previous residents may have left some. If you buy it at a nearby store, it costs about 65-70 EGP.

The breakfast menu is basically the same, but it is delicious so it is not a problem. *I have never had a stomach ache from breakfast, so please eat it with peace of mind.

The rooftop is a dining area and community area where you can exchange information with hotel mates. *This is the best and distinctive feature of this hostel, so please spend more time on the rooftop than in your room during your stay.

There are cute dogs and cats.

This hostel is recommended for backpackers and solo travelers. I did not feel any bias in the nationality of the hotel mates, but I think your satisfaction will change depending on whether you can communicate in English or not.
