I had an absolutely unforgettable week at Hotel Lapérouse in Albi — everything was simply perfect. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the episcopal city, with easy access to all the historic sites and the charming streets of town. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. My room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. A special mention for the restaurant L’Alchimie, located just 100 meters from the hotel. Every meal was a true delight, combining refinement, creativity, and local flavors. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was both elegant and relaxed. Whether it’s your first time in Albi or you’re coming back, I highly recommend Hotel Lapérouse for a peaceful and unforgettable stay. I’ll definitely return with great pleasure! Sam.

We found this in the Rick Steves book. We ended up looking at 3 rooms and found the street side room to be the largest with a great view of the entrance to old town. Everything is walking distance, parking is on the street right below the room and costs about 8 euro a day. You can park a 10 minute walk away for free. The room was quiet with 2 sets of windows and a set of shutters. The wi-fi was fast and right in the room. The pool and garden area was beautiful and the owners a delight. A grocery store, cafe and old town just across the street.

We've just come back from beautiful Albi and are very pleased we chose the Hotel Laperouse for our stay. The young family that run the hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful and the hotel was delight. The location was very convenient only 10 minutes from the train station and on the edge of the old town. We were in a superior double which was very quiet, comfortable, spacious and clean with a lovely view down to the secluded garden and swimming pool area. There was a fan in the room but no air conditioning and I suspect it is for little details like this that the property is only rated 2 stars.

Did not heed hotel's advice, and had a hard time trying to reach the hotel by car GPS. Nearly all access roads closed and converted into a pedestrian mall. Finally have to park, and on foot found it in no time. Warmly received. Room in adjacent building is spacious and a beautiful balcony looking into the pool. Owner is very helpful and informative. Breakfast, served in a bright spacious room, is good.

The hotel is on a main road close the to city centre, shops, restaurants and other delights of Albi. We were able to leave our motorcycle on the pavement outside and there were other parking options for the city clearly specified on our booking. There was a nice heated pool in the garden. We felt that 9e for a continental breakfast was steep so didn't take that option. The room was ok but outside in the halls area it was pretty scruffy, badly chipped doors etc that will need to be sorted out (we have stayed in other 2* places on our trips which are far better presented).

This is a no frills hotel so expect it to have a lot of wear and tear but the beds and pillows were amazingly comfy, the air con was fantastic in the 40 degree heat and it was in a great location for town. Our room was a good size for 3 people, it did get a little bit noisy at night as we were facing the road but it didn't stop us sleeping. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We were on the 2nd floor which was a bit of a pain with no lift but it was a good way to burn off all the ice cream. There's a really handy cheap car park just along the road and the little swimming pool was a pleasant addition but we spent most of our time watching our little one play on the fountain just opposite. We have family in the area so I'm sure we'll be back again at some point!

I had a room with a balcony which I used every day and really enjoyed. The hostess was very helpful and accommodating.
The location was perfect, quiet at night and a very short stroll to old town Albi.

Well located, very friendly staff but needs an update in all aspects. The material is old and in fair condition (towels, gel, shower curtain...), narrow and outdated rooms, nothing for people with reduced mobility, swimming pool? rather a kind of friendly pond. The only thing that saves him is the kindness of the people at the reception who help with everything, but the hotel is to seriously think about a reform appropriate to the times in which we live...

The location is great and the staff is nice. The man at the reception speaks English and is also nice. The swimming pool and garden are really good. There is a carrefour 1 minute walking. The only downside is that there is no fridge. Thats why i give 4 stars.
