Languedoc-Roussillon, Carcassonne, 2 Bis Rue des Calquières 🧭 Map
Excellent location, beautiful balcony view, and the best value for money.
Perfect hotel with the friendliest staff from all our stays in France. Highly recommended! Here’s the view from our room. Comfy beds and well stocked amenities
Big room with great views of medieval city. Very attentive staff. Good swimming pool and fitness centre
The location is excellent, with fantastic castle views.
Perfect location for a gorgeous view and short walk to the castle. Friendly staff, lovely terrace, and bar. Nice indoor pool, changing rooms and shower could maybe do with an update but not a deal breaker.
My husband and I have just spent 5 days at this wonderful hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely young man who helped us with our luggage. And to be welcomed with delicious cakes on arrival was a delight. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff all were very welcoming and the breakfast buffet had a vast array of choices including champagne for those...

Excellent hotel. The room was very comfortable and functional. The beds were good.
Very well location.. Top rooms and very clean Nice staff and excellent breakfast
Lovely hotel in a great location just off the square. Excellent breakfast and plenty of cafes and restaurants a short walk away
Tremendous hotel at one corner of the square de Capitolium. We stayed in a standard room and the suite de Saint-Exupery. Beautiful views of the opera house, historic, centrally located, walkable to University of Toulouse, the Jardin des Plantes, Victor Hugo market, and Point Neuf. The staff are wonderful. Great recommendations for restaurants, and bars open late (for Americans working normal ET hours...
This hotel is a great value hotel, although there are minor issues. Great breakfast choices. A checkin card with map. Great location.
It’s a boutique hotel but fully renovated, room size is not big but decent enough for Europe standard. Location is great, literally next to the city hall, but parking is a bit of a nightmare.

Excellent helpful staff. Really nice room and great breakfast.
It was quiet, convenient and the staff was very helpful and friendly
Beautiful facility, staff was very friendly and helpful, interesting neighborhood and walking distance to Notre Dame.
Our stay at this lovely hotel could not have been better. We have stayed in many hotels. This is one of the very best we have experienced. Very well positioned, presented, organized and staffed. We will be returning. Would not hesitate to recommend.
The is a lovely property by the river in Toulouse. It’s not right in the heart of the city but worth it! The staff are exceptional. Our front desk receptionist, Olivier, was terrific! He booked trains and restaurant reservations for us and did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very modern yet the building was old and historical.
Beautiful property, fantastic rooms, and excellent location. The staff was great. Highly recommended.

Languedoc-Roussillon, Carcassonne, 2535 Route de Saint-Hilaire 🧭 Map
We stayed in a bungalow next to the main chateau in a massive room w/ badly dated finishes. The cost was something like €700 for the night, breakfast not included. We don’t mind spending money on accommodation but this felt like a clip job. I believe they are renovating the main chateau but for now the rooms are dated and uncomfortable.
Always a pleasure to come again to this establishment. Magnificent covered parking under huge trees, super classy chateau with the charm of the old days, but it’s maintained and kept fresh. The service is extremely professional and fast, the wine master always has good advises and some gem you didn’t hear about. It is classy all throughout, except maybe the waiters who could be given shirts instead...
Amazing service and staff was very nice. Loce this hotel.
We had the menu gastronomique on 25 july. I still dream about the food and the wine which was amazing. Can you please share the wines since we did not remember the names ❤️ mainly the wine with the fish as main course but also the wine with the red fish ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your home away from home Truly a remarkable property and the 3 generations of family ownership is absolutely wonderful. They couldn't have made us feel any more welcome. My wife cried when she left because it felt like we were leaving long lost friends. If you have the opportunity, don't miss this enchanting place.
Beautiful hotel in one of the most fabulous cities in the world. Perfect for swimmers and golfers but a wonderful place to visit all year round. Furnishings terrific; restaurant splendid. Carcassone is a gem.

Ahh, a luxury hotel that takes care of its guests. We had a lovely 4 nite visit, delicious continetlal breakfast, quick room service and great 7 course birthday dinner. We really enjoyed ourselves inteh heart of the old quarter.
Great hotel, humorfull and smiling professionals stunning restaurant with great structure of tasty food. The gourmet restaurant is a temple of fine dinning The rooms are big, have a nice view andare very clean
Hotel Richer de Belleval This is a beautiful 300 year old mansion that has been converted into a boutique hotel and part of Relais & Chateau of which we are members. Unfortunately our experience was not the best and we were quite disappointed. First of all when booking we were advised that the hotel is in a pedestrian only area so we were told we would be given driving access instructions the day...
High quality accommodation in a traditional building in a good, central location; excellent staff service. Dining in Jardin des Sens was a superb experience in terms of food quality, setting and service.

Stayed one night on our way from the Dordogne to Montpellier. Great location on the Tarn river. Not as boutique luxurious as we expected, and didn't have a lot of joie de vivre as there were few fellow guests. Comfortable large room overlooking the river. The restaurant wasn't open on the Tuesday that we were there. The receptionist suggested that we dine at the Grand Cafe le Pontie near the...
Tranquil Beautiful setting - highly recommended Rooms are more 4* than 5, but the view is one of the best. It is definitely the best hotel in the area. Not one for families with young children. Perfect for a couples break. Restaurant is lovely for evening meals.
What a delightful place. It truly is a peaceful reserve nestled outside the bustle of the town. Beautifully situated on the banks of the Tarn River, the owners and staff are universally friendly, helpful and kind. We got lost on our way there. Not only did they call to make sure my husband and I were okay, they asked the chef to stay to cook us a late dinner. The room was very clean. The patio, pool...
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very kind and helpful, giving us many good recommendations. The grounds are peaceful and perfect for a morning stroll. Julian the Sommelier gave us perfect wine recommendations and vineyards to visit. Beatrice at the front desk was very kind and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. We would love to come back for another stay.
Brilliant and would like to return if at all possible The grounds are large and well kept in perfect order The view is superb facing the river e
Amazing staff. They make you feel at home. They have knowledge of the place and recommend accordingly

Not only is the property very beautiful but more importantly the staff are excellent. They were very helpful in dealing with some issues in the booking and so very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in or near Nimes.
We stayed just one night here en route to Paris. I wish we had had a few more days to enjoy this unique space. The hotel is beautiful, and the garden is indeed an exceptional space right in the middle of the city. We took a dip in the pool and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. They really make your stay personal and exceptional. We've stayed in hotels at double the cost, and they fail by comparison in value...
The hotel was spectacular and the service more than excelent and the owners very charming. My family loved it.
I’m absolutely in love with this place. This hotel has a soul — full of charm, elegance, and character. Every corner tells a story, with thoughtfully curated antiques and refined taste. I must have taken hundreds of photos — the details are simply mesmerizing. It’s a true embodiment of the French spirit, authentic and full of atmosphere. A magical experience. Highly, highly recommend.
A spectacularly beautiful establishment full of charm and curated antiques. We loved our stay at Jardins Secrets, it is indeed a unique and special place for pure relaxation at the heart of Nîmes. We are a family of four with a little doggie and initially booked the family room but the charming Victoria who greeted us at reception advised that since we had 2 adult daughters it would be more comfortable...
Absolutely deserves the 5 stars. Unique boutique hotel with a personal approach and massive attention to detail. It is history made modern and comfortable. The rooms are large and spacious, and every common area is an art. Yes, many items are everywhere so that it can be challenging with kids. The staff is accommodating and polite, and at the same time, they are natural and casual. Victoria is the...

Staff gracious and attentive. Chic design throughout. Located within walking distance of the incredible walled city and walkable and pleasurable Centre Ville and its surrounding streets and attractions. The hotel and Michelin rated restaurant is in a bit of an odd setting, with a low visibility exit, but an oasis nevertheless, The room, spacious, and visually beautifully designed, has a roomy...
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and didn’t want to leave. The staff is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable and luxe. We would stay here again.
Le Parc is an elegant hotel with really helpful staff. The attention to detail is truly amazing. All in all a lovely base for a short visit to lovely Carcassonne.
Breakfast was prepared to order with eggs, bacon, breads/croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, etc. Relaxed setting on the terrace. Only 7 rooms. Felt very well taken care of. Extremely attentive staff. High quality in every sense.
Very helpful staff, especially the evening gentleman at the desk who went out of his way to help us. We thought the suite was beautifully decorated—very kool and artistic. The setting on the deck was wonderful. We only stayed one night but didn’t leave the hotel. Oh,yes, I forgot to mention the definite romantic vibe.
The staff were wonderful and helpful. The room was large and immaculately presented. Dinner in the evening was sublime. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and highly recommended

This hotel in a beautiful building with a wonderful courtyard is an oasis at the heart of bustling Nîmes.
This is very nice up market hotel, located right in the city center where everything is just a short walk away. I stayed in room 5 on the top floor, which was very large and comfortable - see photos. The walk in closet alone was huge! There is no lift, but they help you carry your bags up so it is not a hardship. The room was clean and very comfortable. There was very slight noise from the street...
Hôtel Margaret is truly one of the most luxurious hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The moment you step inside, you can feel the soul and character of the place. It has a timeless charm that makes you feel as if you’ve slipped into another era, in the best possible way. We stayed in the family suite, which was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed. Every detail felt thoughtful and elegant. The highlight...
The Family Suite was lovely and big with a charming terrace . Has 2 separate rooms - good for a family of four . Very good location with lots of good restaurants within a few minutes walk . The local attractions are also within walking distance . Breakfast was very refined and delicious .
This is hands down the best hotel stay I have ever had in my life. Everything from the exceptional service to the amazing spacious rooms made our stay an unforgettable one. I would travel back to France just for an opportunity to spend a few nights in this beautiful hotel.

Great place to rejuvenate and experience peace.  The window overlooks the medieval town- truly gorgeous and magical.  The receptionist speaks english and helps me in finding places.  When i asked for someone to look at my shower 🚿 and the caddy to fetch me to the car park, the response was fast.  Thank you manager Xavier for caring especially during the windy weather !
Obviously the best part is the location. Inside the walls of the old castle. But there is more to it. Food is excellent, service is very friendly. The rooms are the weak point. They are more 3 stars than 5. But they are big and many have just amazing views. Frankly it is so unique it is for me a place not to miss. I went there 6 or 7 times already. Always magical, particularly with kids. Highly recommended
Beautiful hotel in the heart of the medieval city. The rooms are very large with walk out balconies. The staff are very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant and bar area also beautiful. I only had breakfast in the restaurant but it was delicious.
The hotel is magnificent, the location couldn’t be better. We loved it with our kids. Ladies at the reception and staff at the bar are so professional and welcoming. However the breakfast was a bit of disappointment. The lady was rolling her eyes at the kids, very unpleasant lady who is supposed to serve breakfast with a smile. To have eggs and bacon with some veggies, tea and coffee, you need to...
A fantastic Michelin-starred restaurant, the rooms are stylish, and the public spaces are decorated in a classic and sophisticated style, right in the middle of a castle.
I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel, the location was perfect. The food and service in the restaurant, La Barbacane, was outstanding. However there were signs that all was not well, our room had a shower over the bath with an ill fitting shower panel which, regardless of our attempts, caused the water to flood the bathroom floor. The basin had a crack in it but was usable. The bathroom linen...

Maison Albar Hotels L'Imperator, Nimes1 / 30

Beautiful and well renewed hotel. Good location. Clean and modern room. However the service does not seem to be at the level of a 5 star hotel and we found the bar / breakfast overpriced for the quality, offer and service. At dinner one portion of fries was invoiced for 14 euros and 36 euros / person for breakfast is really too much when it is buffet and the service is very slow with personnel not...
Excellent in every aspect. Staff is exceptional from reception to cleaning to bar to checkout and at all other times. Room was very well laid out and comfortable. Robes and slippers provided which is always nice. The bath is lovely and spacious with plenty of closet space. The location is perfect and parking is very close by. We come to Nimes often as we live not far and will absolutely stay...
The L'Imperator is centrally located in a nice neighborhood. Its facilities are magnificent and clean. Our room was made spotless each day for 6 days. The food at both restaurants are simply the best. The concierges were wonderful and the front door men were great. It was so easy to drive in and out and have them park and retrieve it for us.
We have completed a three nights stay in this LHW hotel in our first visit to Nimes as tourists in end August 2025. We were warmly welcomed by Emma, who has been corresponding with us on pre-arrival arrangements and was very lovely to show us around this very nice property, which reminded me of a combination of Art Nouveau and Mediterranean design elements. The location is excellent; the famous Maison...
The staff was excellent! Very helpful and friendly. They made us feel very much at home.
The most chic and wonderful hotel!! We loved every minute of our stay there. The only criticism I can think of is that the rooms are small, but that’s to be expected in a hotel in the middle of a European city. That said - the rooms were PRISTINE (as is the entire hotel) which makes up for the lack extra space! The pools are a dream as are all the common areas. We had the loveliest time there. And...
